Great, service, great haircut, great price. People are supposed to check in online to avoid waiting. I was a walk in. The sign had 12 customers listed and a 54 minute wait time. I was recommended to sit and wait, in case someone did not show up. I only waited about 15 minutes until they fit me in. Good place for kids haircuts. I will go there again.

I usually get my best haircuts with walking and I have had several at this location. This time, not the best, it was fine, the cutter was not as friendly as most, didnt seem really interested in striking up a conversation about anything. Guess she was concentrating on the task at hand. But I will go back.

Got a fast good hair cut from Jennifer and it is exactly what I wanted. She is very pleasant and listened to my request. I used the check in ahead and so convenient for me. These are professional stylist ready to give you a good hair cut. It is not a high end salon offering endless options for big bucks. I am extremely happy with my visit and results. I will go to Great Clips again!

Im always nervous to have my hair cut, but I was so happy with the job that Eve did! She is experienced and professional and made me feel comfortable in the chair. I asked her to cut my hair in the style of Bettie Page (Bettie Bangs) and she nailed it. She took very small amounts off until we reached the perfect length! She was VERY careful not to go too short and asked my opinion every step. Will definitely be returning here for future hair needs. If I could leave more stars, I absolutely would!

After 15 years I decided to cut my hair, I went to this salon because my husband frequents this location with our son. The stylist was clueless. Layered my curly hair and then cut it way shorter than I wanted. I left with my heart broken and a mullet on my head. After days of crying my husband and son were getting their hair cut and thought I should go in for a repair. Jennifer the repair artist listened to me break down in her chair. She leaned over and told me it was going to be ok and how we were going to fix this. And she did just that. I left with my confidence back and my head held high again. I left 5 stars for Jennifer. Thank you for everything you did!

My experience at this particular great clips was pretty.. well great lol Eve checked me in and was actually the one to cut my hair. She was very professional, kind, courteous and very communicative with exactly what I wanted. Very efficient and gentle when needed, she does great work! If you ever go to this one ask for Eve! Ive already brought a family member with Rapunzel hair and she did great again. Another 5 star review thanks to her!

I went to this salon after having the worst experience someone could ever have at a professional salon. I was already nervous freaked out scared PTSD from the place I went before, but my stylist Sharon did the best job!! She made me feel comfortable safe she told me everything that she was doing as she did it she didnt make a cut until she asked if it was okay. And she did exactly what I was looking to have done she made me feel comfortable confident and beautiful! She will be where I go to get my haircut from now on! I’ve always gone to Great Clips because the affordability, convenience, and because I’ve never walked away with a haircut I didn’t like. I’ve never used their website to request any specific hair style, I just ask for what I think would look good and that’s what I always get.

Asked the stylist to give me a bob. Didnt realize until shed finished that shed stacked the back of my hair. Now I have a haircut that looks like a mom on a 90s sitcom. When I expressed my surprise and displeasure that she hadnt cut it in a regular bob that was the same length all around she argued with me and said it was the same length.

Eve is my girl! I had my own salon and after being to almost every place in town the high end ones included, she is still one of the only people I trust! I have natural curls that are long and she has never disappointed! Even when I did my own quarantine cut (I was desperate) she shaped it up and evened out my outline into a gorgeous slight v. Seriously the best, and let me point this out as well... She could crush it at a high end salon but chooses to stay at great clips. That says something about a great working atmosphere as well. Realistically a solid 2.5. I dont go to Great Clips expecting a perfect fade - theres a reason they are cheaper and more available than the barber. But I needed something today, they are typically friendly, and a couple of the ladies actually give a decent haircut. I understand that doing a mid bald fade isnt the easiest thing to blend. Having to take a little extra time shouldnt be an issue when I ask you to touch up a couple spots that could be blended a little better. Getting an attitude about it and taking the fade up an extra inch is an issue. If you dont feel comfortable with something or dont understand what your customer is requesting - ask or get someone else. I partly blame Great Clips assembly line culture for overpressuring your staff to get people in and out. Dont plan to ever step foot in a box shop like this again. If youre picky at all go somehwere that has the time for you.

My barber shop that I usually go to is closed for two weeks due to the holidays. So, I decided to go to great clips being that it is close and they were open. The staff was super nice and friendly. I have to wait 30 mins before they get to me but to be fair they did tell me that before hand. My haircut is super easy. I get it buzzed on a 1.5 and I get my beard cut to match. They would not cut my beard because I would have to take my mask off for two seconds. Yes, I get being precautionary but if your going to cut male’s hair then you have to be able to cut facial hair too. They charged me $16 for a haircut that literally took less than 5 minutes and now I either have to go to another barber shop to get it trimmed or go to Walmart and buy some clippers to do it myself (which negates the whole point of paying for a haircut.) very disappointed!! Will not return.

I came here for a haircut while passing through town. The was girl at the desk (tall with dark hair and glasses) and she was really nice. I told her my first name and she signed me in as a “guest”, she said, because I preferred not to give out my info as I was just passing. She was really nice about it (other places roll their eyes and act like its a problem). So right away that was pleasant! My hair cutters name was Jennifer. She did an excellent job! She was real nice and I dont reckon having a better hair cut before. She is very very good and pays attention to the detail. She is talkative and funny, too! The one next to us was great and her and Jennifer were cutting up with me. In fact all the women who were there that day were very nice! I wish every place I stopped at was like this one. If you are in town go here

Like most male students in Boone I usually go to Kevin’s Kutz, but gave this place a try and got an awesome haircut from Rachel for $13 with the student discount.

A few weeks ago I came here directly after getting a TERRIBLE cut at Super Clips in the mall. Melanie helped me and she was simply amazing. She not only beautifully fixed my hair, but she was polite, considerate, funny as all h*** (excuse me but she was!), professional, talented, and friendly. Melanie and Jennifer, I believe was her name, were extremely comical together. Jennifer and even another girl named Kayla were both concerned about the bad cut I had received and even consulted with Melanie and myself about the end result which I found fantastic! Other stylists caring about one customer they’re not even working with?! WOW! This place and these ladies CARE about their customers and their happiness. Cannot recommend this place highly y enough!

Just stopped in with the family to get my husbands haircut for school. His first in years. Sandra had a genial disposition and put him at ease easily. She saw the picture he wanted and cut his hair to match. Unfortunately, his hair didnt lay so well and they both decided to go shorter. He feels lighter and we all like it, even my four year old who didnt want his hair cut in the first place. Since we saved his hair to send to a charity, thanks to Sandras willingness to add a few extra prep steps before whipping out the scissors, my daughter relented. The fact she was born in the same city as we were was just kismet. This is the second person in our family to get an impulse hair cut come out happy without breaking the bank. Feel more confident about using Great Clips in town more often. Seeing as busy as they were (online appointments coming in with four walk ins waiting),during prime lunch time and neither stylists looked like they would be breaking any time soon. That lets me know that both stylists value their customer relationships.

They just don’t know how to cut hair.I’ve gone there twice and both times they didn’t even get close to what I asked for, and I only asked for a trim.

Although it took me awhile to get back because they were shortstaffed... it was well worth the wait! Dani (sp?) is absolutely killing it at her job and gave me the best haircut I have had. Olivia is amazing!! She is knowledgeable, sweet and honest. She does a great job on my boys hair (5 and 8), a general trim on mine and even takes the time to give me something different when Im in the mood. The boys love seeing her and talking to her and she has never given me a bad cut. Its like getting an expensive salon cut at a great deal!

I spent 30 years with one hairdresser, and Ive seen a hundred and one botched haircuts on others heads. So you could say I was very cautious making this my first experience with another stylist. They exceeded my expectations with a blend of cordiality and professionalism Ive rarely seen. They pay precise attention to customers wants and make you feel special as if each cut is worth 50$ for a quarter the price. I recommend this specific shop to anyone.

Terrible! I asked for only 2 inches off and she took close to 5. I asked for slight layers and these are the most blunt cuts and terrible framed cuts I’ve ever seen. They do good men’s cuts but women do not trust what should be a trim with this staff. I am very upset and will probably have to cut all of the layers out and go way shorter than I’m comfortable with or just live with it which are both bad options.

It was a weird experience. I dont hate my hair but I dont like it either. I tend to think of stylists as experts in their field and I respect them for their craft but I dont think youll find many experts here. If you want a stylist who will be straight with you about whether they can meet your expectations, you wont find that here either. If you want a quick cheap trim its probably just fine but if your hair is generally difficult you want to go somewhere else where the stylists have more confidence and experience.

This store was pretty busy when I arrived. I recommend checking in online to get the best availability. I did not and I had to wait about 20 minutes. The lady that cut my hair did a good job and she was friendly.

I have a son with disabilities and have trouble finding places where I, my son, and even the hair dresser are comfortable getting his hair cut. I recently moved to Blowing Rock, NC and decided we would go to Great Clips in Boone, NC (per recommendation of a neighbor). I WAS SO HAPPY WE DID! The girl who did his hair was Melanie. She was patient, friendly, and worked so well with him. This was by far the best experience he and I have had getting his hair cut. She was gentle and kept him engaged. Hes not an obvious disabled child, either. YEs, Im comfortable saying that about my son! To some he just seems shy or quiet but he can be very unpredictable with bouts of screaming and being upset. Not once did he give me any worry and believe me I was stressed going in to this. I will absolutely be back to this Great Clips! This review section probably doesnt have enough room for all I want to say. Since I was relaxed I was able to look around and notice the other hair dressers with their customers. Everyone there is so professional and fun. This is a great group of women and I highly recommend this location!THANK YOU MELANIE!! THANK YOU GREAT CLIPS IN BOONE, NC!!!!!

Took my son for a basic boy cut. I have pretty low expectations for a 14 dollar hair cut but this place still managed to disapoint. My sons sides were uneven and one was cut in a line and the other in a v so I sent him back inside to get it evened. When he came back out he was cut and bleeding on both ears. I went back in and asked to speak to the manager on duty. She was Sandra.She stood there staring as I explained what happened and showed her the cuts on both my sons ears. She wouldnt answer me. I asked if she had any comment and all she said was His hair wasnt even? I tried to get her to focus on the issue that he was cut (and bleeding) but this seemed impossible for her. She called the stylist who cut him and said She says you cut him. That stylist just shrugged. No apology. No concern. No professionalism. One cut COULD be an accident, two is pure incompetence and negligence. These people are not qualified to use sharp objects. DO NOT take your child here. Go anywhere else.

Yknow, I came in not expecting much, but it really was a great haircut. I have the unfortunate problem of balding at 22, but the woman I worked with (I wish I knew her name, but she told me shes only been there since April) did an amazing job. Not even covering up the baldness or anything, but genuinely giving me a haircut that made it look good. She had no problems adjusting my hair when I was being picky and was very friendly.For the price, its fantastic. Would reccomend.

I had my hair cut by an older blond lady, Sandra I think. and she really just did a crap job. I had top come home and fix my hair myself. Paid for a beard trim and clean up, and she just ran a pair of clippers over my face with no clean up. My lines are off and to be honest, Ive met friendlier poisonous snakes. Not worth the money or the wait. Dont let this woman cut your hair.

Went to this location today to get an haircut. At 4 oclock they had 4 people waiting with 2 cosmetologist cutting hair. At 4:30 Im second on the board to be called and 5 people behind me, one lady says to the other quote.( Honey is it your break time) she says yes and they put a cookie order together in front of the 7 guest waiting. So now we are down to one cosmetologist 7 guest and cookie order finalized. At this point I quietly left the other 6 guest for haircuts. 30 mins. wasted. Please hire more staff and supply cookies to the staff.

I went to the boone north carolina location saturday April 28th 2018 and asked for just a trim and to trim my layers. She chopped off all my hair wouldnt listen to anything I told her I wanted and just kept making it worse. I asked for it to stay the same short in the back angled longer in the front just to trim off the ends. She cut new shorter layers textured it and it looks horrible I have never seen such a bad hair cut before I am so upset only way to fix this is to get extensions till it grows out or have a pixie cut. Please dont go to this store.

Worst hair cut ever! Said I didnt want to take a lot off the top. I had to stop her. First time in a long time a hair cut made me cry. Ive had positive experience in the past and its fine for my son to have a boys hair cut but Im devistated!!!!
