Ive been looking for a salon in the area, and Canvas did not disappoint. Friendly staff, great products, and I love my hair color and blowdry. I will definitely come back!

I would recommend Canvas Beauty Bar to anyone. The atmosphere, stylists, customer service, (and music they play) are all amazing. I dont think Ive ever been happier with how my hair has turned out at a salon. Olivia gave me a full balayage after I showed her inspiration images and my hair turned out just like the pictures but better. She was so sweet and the entire staff was friendly.

Had the most wonderful experience at Canvas for my bridal hair + makeup! I scheduled very last-minute due to changes in my wedding plans because of covid. Even though I made a scheduling error and arrived late, the owner took the time herself to fit me in for hair and eye makeup. Both were perfect and exactly what I wanted. She was so sweet and truly saved the day! Will highly recommend to my friends in the Boone area.

My first cut: I was in and out twice as fast as normal (long/curly hair) and it looked terrible. Figured it was maybe a fluke, and booked another appointment. My second cut: my stylist was DRINKING A BEER during my haircut (I have photos if owner is interested). Will NEVER go back.

I came into Canvas yesterday to have an appointment to dye my blue hair black. Immediately upon walking in, I was absolutely pampered by these wonderful ladies in the staff! Both my consultation and appointment were treated with sincere care and my stylist was a joy to work with! She made sure that I got exactly what I wanted and talked me through it the whole way. Loved going here! Thank you so much ladies!

Love this place! Great experience from scheduling my first appointment to the awesome final product. Devin gave me my favorite full bang cut ever and explained some things to me I never knew before. Love the cut and the atmosphere of the salon.

I highly recommend this salon!! I had my bridal make-up done by Micaela and she was wonderful. She took her time, listened to what I wanted and totally delivered! My only advice to management would be to better stock your makeup supplies - there were a few items that had ran out by my wedding day that Micaela and I planned on using during my trial. Overall great experience!!

Canvas sent three amazing ladies (Sierra, Chelsey, and Trish) to do hair and make up for my wedding in West Jeff. All the girls were able to do hair and make up for varying ages and hair types. We all felt very comfortable with them and we loved how we looked. Hali the wedding booker was very prompt and helpful as well! It takes a special team to make you feel comfortable on your wedding team - Thank you!

Lindsey Easter has become the only person I let touch my hair. Shes not afraid to take a small amount of direction (with me usually just length) and turn it into something absolutely amazing. She also gives the best damn head massage during the shampoo. It feels more like a spa day than a chore. All that combined with the glass of champagne or coffee I get just for being a customer makes Canvas a really wonderful experience.

Ryan gave the best mens hair style Ive ever had! Really took time to do it right. My wife goes there too. She looks amazing. Ill be a longtime customer. Great people, great atmosphere.

Melissa did SO good on my long thin straight hair! The gals working here are the sweetest and the atmosphere was definitely relaxing. Definitely will be going back to her!

After Nikki complimenting on the length of my hair, I asked for only 2-3 inches off. She gave a good consultation and I was happy with what she said. After cutting my hair, I notice she took off a lot more than was said!! She took off about 8 inches! I am so unhappy with my hair, she needs to learn to follow what the client wants. I would advise everyone to not go to her.

I had the worst experience I have ever had at a salon at Canvas last summer.I went to canvas with a color in mind. My stylist said she was happy to help me achieve my idea - a natural warm caramel balayage. Midway through coloring, she kept asking other stylists what they thought of the color she had ended up with. Turns out, she made a mistake and my hair ended up too red - mind you, red was not what I asked for. She asked if I was okay with it, and I told her I was not. She apologized for her error and started to “fix it”.On the same day, she bleached my hair a second time to try to remove the red. It did not work, and my hair was an orangey pink after she was finished.Her first piece of advice was to “hop in a chlorine pool, the color will come right out”. I asked if there was anything further she could do, and she recommended I book another (paid) appointment if I was that unhappy with it. I was clearly unhappy about my color, but paid for it anyway, saying I would come back if I was still unhappy later that week.I came back the next day to see if I could have it corrected. When I got there, the stylist had actually saved a clipping of my hair in a ziplock bag, obviously knowing I’d be back. She pulled it out, zoomed into the photo I had showed her, placed my hair on her phone screen, and said “this is exactly what you asked for - it’s a natural red blonde”. Again, mind you, it was no where near what I had imagined - as I had asked for a “warm caramel” - even showing her a picture. The words “natural red blonde” never came out of my mouth.While I was clearly still unhappy, she continued to argue with me about how it was what I wanted, as if I was in the wrong. I eventually gave up when she told me to book another appointment. On my way out, I asked the the stylist and the young woman at reception if they honestly thought it looked good. My stylist responded, “Well do you usually wear more makeup? Or is this how you normally look?” With that, I left and did not return.I did eventually call and request a refund for the color only, as I had no issues with the cut. I wanted to share this experience so others may be made aware of what happened. The entire process cost around $270 including a tip and product - and it was entirely a waste of time and money. You do not always get what you pay for.It was extremely embarrassing and it was handeled very poorly by the stylist. I had to have the color corrected at another salon in Charlotte, and it wasn’t nearly as complicated of a fix as my original stylist said it would be.That said, I’m sure Canvas is all around okay, but I will personally never again consider them, nor would I recommend them.

I used to work at a salon, as a receptionist, many years ago so I know the beauty industry. But I always get my hair done when I go to my hometown. However, its becoming harder and harder to do that. So I decided on a slight whim to get my hair done in Boone. After some looking around I chose Canvas. And Im SO glad I did! I had a great experience from beginning to end. I was greeted immediately by Coco when I walked through the door :) and Miah (one of the co-owners) checked me in and made me feel welcome and comfortable instantly. My stylist, Logan, was an absolute doll to work with! She was attentive and listened to exactly what I wanted and asked questions to clarify. She took her time, did not rush through and was easy to converse with! I was very pleased with the end result (blonde balayage)! I will definitely be back to see the talented, Logan! Xoxo!

Canvas is a great place, owned by great people that perform great work. Canvas is my go to place in Boone to get a haircut.
