The ophthalmologists at this clinic are on call 24-7 if you were to have an emergency. The doctor I usually see, Dr. Schwanke, is always able to help me with whatever vision issues I am having. The doctors as well as the staff are pleasant and helpful. I feel I am in good hands with this group.

Was able to get a same day appointment for my red, irritated eye. Dr Schwantke was very professional and sent in a prescription for eye drops. As I saw him on a Friday, he gave me his cell phone number in case the eye wasnt improved by Sunday. As of today, Saturday. after using the eyedrop 6 times, my eye is feeling better and is not as red as it had been.Thank you Dr. Schwantke, for your care and professionalism !

I have been coming to Village/Birch Lake Eye for almost 20 years. I have seen every Dr. there and I couldn’t choose a favorite if I had to. Everyone at each location are truly wonderful. I can say I do enjoy coming there - as long as I’m not being dilated!

Everyone was great. From checking in to seeing the provider to picking out my glasses. They were very helpful and kind. It helped that Dr. Kevin was very encouraging for laser eye surgery and explained everything very well.

Dr Lucas does a fantastic job, very thorough with the exam and explains in layman’s terms all he is monitoring. Highly recommend!

Very friendly and courteous. Went through the entire exam at a good pace and explained everything. They have new technology that eliminates the need for dilation and makes the eye pressure test much more comfortable. The optometrist listened to me and took time to explain my contact lens options. Highly recommend.

Excellent service and care. Our regular clinic never called me back despite leaving messages with the triage nurse. So I called Village Eye Clinic, not only could they do the exam my daughter needed before seeing the Rhumoroidologist they could do it within a few days. I sent my daughter in by herself, she felt comfortable and said the doc was really personable. We will defintly be switching our eye care needs here.

I have been going to Birch Lake Eye Clinic and Optical for over 20 years. I have complete confidence in Dr. Grudem and everyone there. Best frames in town for kids and adults that last and dont need to be adjusted weekly because the quality of the products and materials used. I will not go anywhere else regardless of my insurance plan because quality and service matter more to me!I trust them with my eyes as well as my two children which as a Mom I take seriously.

I grew up getting eye care from Village Eye in Blaine. Since going to college and moving to Minneapolis, and now working in the Southwest suburbs of the twin cities, I still drive 40 minutes to go to Village Eye because they have the most competent eye doctors and best customer service. In my 15 or so years of going there, I have not once ever had a less than lovely customer service experience there.

Everyone is friendly and ready to answer my questions. The optometrists really know what they’re doing. I like that it’s close by and easy to get in and out of. They take good care of me and my eyes.

Wrong RX and unwilling to correct. Sent me a letter to not return to their clinic and said they enclosed a records release and did not. This is how inept they are!! Do not go there!
