Wonderful Doctor, staff, nurses. I couldn’t be more pleased with the care I receive from Dr. Massie

I have been a patient with the Urology CentersOf Alabama for over 10+ years now. When I was first referred by gynecologist, I was sent to Dr.Rookis, and her primary physician Meredith. They have been very supportive of all my issues through out the years. Especially Dr.Rookis, she has been very kind, listens to everything I have to say and has experimented with different options/ medications to get me on the right track to feeling better. The past two weeks now, I have been having severe pain. I saw Merideth and her nurse (Wednesday 9/2) and received some treatments from them. Following up the next day, (Thursday 9/3) in more pain, Merideth again assists me and try’s another treatment option with me. Her wonderful nurse followed up with me on Friday to check in and see how I was feeling. Although symptoms continued to get worse, I ended up the ER that following Saturday (9/5). When my urologist opened back up after Labor Day, I called in and was recommended that I go to the main women’s center to see Dr.rookis or Dr.Massie.I decided to go with Dr.Massie as I figured a fresh pair of eyes and ears would be helpful to finding a solution to my problems. She was also the first available to see, and the quicker I can find a solution to my issues I assumed would be the better option.The next day, (Wednesday 9/9) I showed up for my appointment with Dr.Massie. I had two pages written front and back with my history of the last 10+ years up to the current date of what I have been experiencing. She was extremely short with me. I honestly do not even believe she read the papers I wrote for her. They were taken from the exam room to “look over” outside from where I was. (Which I also had to ask for those papers back multiple times) - She had no answers for me. The entire time she has her hand on the door, as if she was ready to get me out of her exam room and on the the next patient. The only thing she could tell me was that I’m over medicated (as i brought the bag of medications I had been prescribed within the last two weeks) / when i asked for nausea medication, she asked me “what for” // as if I am not only in an excruciating amount of pain and discomfort but also feel sick to my stomach, with a loss of appetite and a bag full of medications. She sent me out the door with ZERO sympathy. I 100% guarantee you if I was her own daughter sitting on that exam table, there would have been so much more done, or asked from me. Today was nothing but a waste of my time. I have never felt so undermined and have never been treated so poorly by a “Doctor” before. She gave me absolutely no advise as to what I could do from this point forward, no advise as to which prevention medications I could or should not be taking. Again told me, “no” to even nausea medication....AND told me to go see Dr.Rookis, as she was “to busy” to do anything while I was already in her exam room with my booked appointment. I left in tears! The receptionist was very accommodating and listened to what I had to say. She was able to squeeze me in with Dr.Rookis, where I hope to find some better answers to my questions and solutions to my problems.I will absolutely NEVER recommend Dr.Massie to anybody I know. Especially friends and family. If I could leave zero stars then I would of. She does not even deserve the 1 Star on this review. I have never left a doctors office before feeling more helpless then I have today.

I had been experiencing problems with bladder control, frequent urination and leakage. Dr. Massie was very friendly and accommodating. She did try two seperate medication, that did not work and eventually suggested bladder botox. This was done in house and has worked incredibly. I highly recommend Dr. Massie and her team.
