The best Dr. experience I have ever had! Dr. Parker is by far the best eye physician I have ever been to and trust me, I have been to a few. This practice is like the Chick Fila of eye drs.

On July 21, 2020, Dr Vick performed eyelid surgery on both my eyes. While it is too soon to know the results, I cannot say enough enough good about the treatment that I received leading up to and through the surgery. There was a lot of things that had to be done from the time we decided to have the surgery and Brenda helped me to get prepared for surgery. She went way beyond what was expected of her. Brenda’s friendliness and professionalism led me through every step needed to become ready for my surgery. If you need eye surgery, you definitely should use Alabama Ophthalmology Associates!

It is always an issue when I come here. My referrals should be in your office prior to me arriving there. This is literally the 5th time. Every single time I come its the same issue. My childs vision is at stake. Therefore, I have become very intolerant of this. It is not my job to work referrals for you. Pick up the phone and communicate with the the referring physicians office. I am the customer, I am not employed there. I have never seen anything like this in my life. I go to appointments at other facilities, yet this is the only one that operates in this manner. It is beyond unprofessional to tell a patient every visit or on any visit to go track down their own referral. Its always we dont have your referral. You have 4-6 months in between the visits to get it. Today was the LAST time. The appointment was missed because you did not have the referral then I was I was told the next appointment is next summer. This is totally unacceptable. Get it together!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Drs. Long & Vicinanzo are hands down the best oculoplastic surgeons in the country. As a RN in surgery with these doctors, I’ve seen their incredible transformations on patients for decades. When it came time for my own Mom to have eyelid surgery, this was the only place I would have her go.

This office if pretty consistent about running behind on their appointments. If would be nice.to let your patience know this. I had an appointment at 10:10.. Still sitting here an hour later waiting with my 2 year old. There should be more consideration to your patients especially those with little ones.

If it wasnt for how great Dr. Davidson is, we would NOT come here!!! They have the longest wait times I have ever experienced!!! HOURS!!! HOURS!!! It is especially inconvenient for people that are coming from out of town and have to face Birmingham rush hour traffic. It is HORRIBLE!!!!! Very stressful for parents and children. Overbooking patients for money.

I cannot express how pleased I am with the results of my upper eyelid blepharoplasty. I had consulted with a few different plastic surgeons, but did not feel comfortable with their anesthesia options (full anesthesia and recovery) nor their expertise with eyes. My eyelids had gotten so thick and heavy that I always looked tired and angry. It was really affecting my confidence and ability to wear eye makeup and was starting to affect my vision. Dr. Long was immediately able to calm my anesthesia fears by saying that he prefers to do this surgery with a local numbing injection which would also allow him to see my eyes open and moving so he could ensure the perfect shape. Recovery was a non-issue (I followed his instructions closely) and two weeks later I am so thrilled with the results! My eyes look vibrant and less tired but without looking overdone. I feel like he did achieve the perfect shape without making me look like I really had anything done. Fantastic doctor and excellent experience! Would do this again in a heartbeat!

Dr. Bains is exceptional!! She is quick, precise and really cares about her patients. Her staff is top notch as well.

Alabama Ophthalmology Association was ripping me off through my blue cross blue shield and Federal Vision Insurance on a regular basis. I had been referred there by the now defunct Schaefer Eye Center in Huntsville, AL. The last straw was when I showed up for a scheduled appointment only to be told no ophthalmologists were available. There was an elderly lady who came in after me whose daughter had taken off work only to be told the same thing. My walked out and told the receptionist I would never be back. I am so glad I made that decision. I found an incredible Ophthalmologist at the Eye Center in Huntsville, AL, that informed me that all my astigmatism was on my lenses. I had the surgeries to replace my lenses and I no longer need prescription lenses!!!! I use OTC readers when I need them for fine print.

My eyelids had gotten so bad I was unable to see any more without holding my eyebrows up to get my eyelids out of my line of sight. I was very hesitant about having any kind of plastic surgery performed and had put it off for more years than I should have. Dr. Long did a blepharoplasty on both eyes and they look great! I can see now and I am beyond thankful for that! His staff was courteous and very helpful with appointments and scheduling surgery. They took care of it all and I didnt have to do anything. Dr. Long was great about answering any of my questions. He LISTENED to me and my wants and dont wants. He was very kind with a wonderful beside manner. I dont really care about a doctors bedside manner as long as the results are good, but it was a plus that Dr. Long did have a good bed side manner. Dr. Long did a wonderful job on both my eyes. I could not possibly be any happier with the results. It wasnt too much or not enough....it was just right, which was a huge concern of mine. I cannot recommend him enough.

Billing staff is horrible, asked to speak to the administrator and I had to sit in the waiting room for an hour.... they make appointments and then wait until you get there to tell you that you need a referral!!!! Inconvenience!!!!! They will not give you higher up name/number ...I had to google that info..... They bill you for the same procedure that wasn’t done properly THE FIRST time on every follow up visit thereafter scheduled by the doctor!!!! JUST OVERALL UNHAPPY!! Would not recommend!!!!!! Only gave 1star because it wouldn’t allow me to not give any!

Fantastic group! I was very confident in Drs. Hein and Elsas before my childs surgery and even more so afterward. Were eternally grateful as a family and very pleased as clients.

Dr. Long is an excellent surgeon, he was very prompt and knew exactly what he was doing! Procedure was quick and recovery has been a breeze. Dr Long will always be our go to specialist not only because he is so outstanding at doing his job but because he is so kind hearted and polite and just plain out nice and dont rush!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! No let down!!

The two stars is for the long wait. We drove from Montgomery to Birmingham today and this was suppose to be my daughters 4th visit with Dr. Davidson. Her appointment was at 1:40 but we arrived at 1:04. About 20 minutes of waiting, the receptionist told me we needed a referral. I was unaware of this and had I known, I would have made sure to check with AOA and my daughters pediatrician before making an unnecessary drive, taking off work, and wasting gas. The receptionist, however, assured me that she was working on getting the referral but I would probably have to wait a little longer. It took some time but she was successful with getting the referral and we were called to the back around 2:55. My daughter got her eyes checked and then we had to wait some more. We were put in another waiting room with about 5-6 other families so that we could wait on an exam room to open up and to see the doctor. Well we decided to just reschedule for another day because we had been inconvenienced enough and I had another appointment to make it to. Overall the staff was nice and the facility was clean. My biggest issue was the the fact that I had to find out about the referal when I got there instead of knowing prior to coming and that I wasted gas money and time.

Dr. Long did upper eyelid surgery on me in late April 2018 and I can not say enough good things about him. He is kind, personable, prompt and most importantly, he is the BEST at what he does!! I chose Dr. Long because he specializes in eyes and eyelid surgery. My upper lids look amazing!! Not only do I see MUCH better but It took 20 years off of my appearance and now I don’t hate looking in the mirror!! If considering eyelid surgery please choose Dr. Long. You will be glad you did

Applied here was planning on relocating and at the last minute i was told the position will no longer be offered to anyone. then i find out they have listed it again now you can choose to do what you want with your business but to tell a potential out of state employee at the last minute with no regard or even care as to their process and preparation to get there shows me just what this company is all about

Very disappointed in Dr. Long regarding a consultation appointment. He never even ask me my concerns regarding my droopy upper eyelids or how it was interfering with my reading and other use over the course of each day. At the end he handed me my chart and walked out of the room. I had to find myself out. I drove 200 miles round trip for this appointment. I certainly will not ever be back.

Dr Davidson is great. My 3 star rating comes from the wait. This has been a problem prior to Dr Davidson working at this practice - but has gotten worse in the past 2-3 years. For some reason they book several appointments for 1 doctor at the same time. There were 9 patients waiting in the waiting room today and the rooms were full. From start to finish our appointment took 3 hours. This isn’t as bad if you have a child who will watch tv for hours, but a toddler with adhd = misery. We have been coming to this practice for 8 years with 2 children so this review comes from many experiences at both locations. If we didn’t need a certain speciality I would be asking our pediatrician for another referral. I have mentioned this to the staff and filled out surveys over the years and no change.

The one star rating is because of the way yall treat me . My eye is not dry . I dont have dry eye my eyes are getting worse . You all are talking about I have dry eye which I dont. I think this is ridiculous. Very unprofessional staff. I will be reporting you to the medical board for misconduct .

My mother have had eye problems all her life. But Dr. Bain gave her the best gift of all, her sight back! I love Dr. Bain and her wonderful staff .

I had a appointment waited for 45 minutes in waiting room then they told us we were next they are waiting on a room. Two people left and they called someone else ahead of me talked to the nurse and she had a nasty attitude and told me to wait I was definitely next then they called someone else other than my child by this time I had been there more than an hour and a half so I left and will never come back. Hate this place awful 1st impression. Need to work on it for future preferences. But I never ever will go back.

The first visit I had for my exam before surgery I waited for 2 hours before the exam and then another 30 min to set up the surgery now a week before my surgery with Davidson they are making me reschedule i would cancel but they make you pay 2 weeks in advance and get a covid test also the worst doctors Ive ever had dealings with

Terrible job on upper eye lid. Left a noticeable scar, had excessive swelling and got an infection. Dr. Long would not listen to my complaints and concerns regarding how my eyes & cheeks looked after recovering from surgery. Recently had to have another surgeon perform corrective surgery on both eyelids and removed leftover scar tissue that caused my cheeks to bulge. Current surgeon was horrified by the job performed by Dr. Long. The entire process was a Horrible experience.

Dr Baines saved my eye 2 failed previous surgeries by another doctor. She did it right the first time.

Nightmare experience. Do not use John Long. Botched not one but two surgeries on my face. I have two thick scars on both my shoulders and face because of this man. I had to go to a different plastic surgeon and he fixed it.

I had a blocked tear duct. I was in Dr Longs office for 5 minutes and he told me what was wrong. Had been to 4 doctors in Gadsden and Boaz and misdiagnosed from all of them, said it was dry eye.

Appointment was 12:30. Its now 1:50. Still havent gone back. Came from out of town. Very unprofessional staff.
