Been our family dentist for 20 yrs or so with three kids. Was just in for cleaning, professional and delightful as always.

I have had to have lots of dental work in my life. I always feel like Dr. Alder does a great job and makes sure things are done right. He has great connections for other specialists if necessary.

Ive been a patient of Drs. Alder and Mitchell for most of my 40 years here in Oregon. Ive always received top-notch care from the dentists and the various hygienists. They inform me of areas of concern and how I can best manage them, yet dont push me into unnecessary treatments. The decision is always mine, but they arm me with the best data to make those decisions. I feel fortunate that I found a dental facility that I have been willing to retain for such a long time.

I love the dentists and their employees. Everyone is always courteous and friendly. The service provided is always top notch. This time was fir a cleaning and the tech did a great job and was engaging.

My wife and I have been taking our family there for many years now. They are very good with the young kids and are very friendly and professional. Insurance billing has been straightforward. I like their system for appointment reminders, etc. They use technology to advantage, but still have a very personal touch. I recommend this dental office to friends all the time, whether for adults or children. I feel they dont push unnecessary procedures, which is an issue with many dental offices.

This is the best office I have ever been to. Don’t hesitate to come in!The staff are so friendly, very clean, very professional. They take ultra good care of your teeth and you as a customer. I moved 45 min away from the office recently and most would just find a new office “closer” but this will not be the case with this office. They will have my business as long as they are open!!

Exceptionally professional dentistry team and practice. My family and I have been going to them for nearly 30 years. My kids (now almost 30 themselves) have never known another dentist. Cant recommend this dentistry highly enough. Heather, my current hygienist, is fantastic as was Molly (now retired) before her. Drs Alder and Mitchell are highly competent, thoughtful, and always do what is best for you.

We have been going to here for over 2 years and love it. Great systems, great care and quick replies to question. Our 4 year old is always asking to go so I guess she likes it too! Gentle yet effective communication that Dad needs to drive oral hygiene better for his little ones and good advice on how to do so. But seriously, how do you get a 5 year old to floss?

I was a patient of this office for 15+ years and their service was exceptional; however, my wife had an encounter recently with their receptionist that is flat unacceptable. She called to cancel her upcoming appointment (not same-day, mind you) because she has been fighting flu for weeks and the coughing has not let up.The receptionist told her to either take some cough suppressant and make her way in or pay a $40 cancellation fee. First off, who would want to visit the dentist who use sharp instruments and drain toothpaste into the back of your throat while coughing up a storm? Cough suppressant helps, but is not a miracle drug. Further, to expose your employees to this is irresponsible. Finally, to charge someone who has legitimate concerns a $40 fee is unconscionable.I later called to discuss their handling of my wife’s situation and was told that I may want to consider finding another provider. That is what 15+ years gets you from this firm that, until now, I thought upheld Christian values. We will take our business elsewhere. As for Alder/Mitchel Dentistry, I pray they work out their service issues.

Since the mid-1970s, my wife and I and our extended family have been fortunate to receive such expert dental care and advice. We are members of a generation where EXEMPLARY dental care has allowed us to retain the vast majority of our teeth. This office is full of the kindest, funniest and genuinely caring team! I love Heather, and she helps my anxiety with going to the dentist disappear. I think even if we moved further away, I would still make appointments to see them. The front desk is great, too, and very helpful. Wish we found them sooner, but glad we eventually did!

I was greeted warmly, everyone was friendly, an unplanned extraction was explained thoroughly, including options. I avoided dentist for years after multiple nightmare visits. Dr. Alder took such good care of me I was almost in tears. Not only are they fast and efficient, they are kind, thorough and have the newest equipment. I have never been so relaxed and had such little pain at a dentist. I had a cleaning, a filling, polishing, and two crowns installed. I will never go to anyone else. Even if I live elsewhere I will fly here for any dental needs.

My partner has been going to Dr. Alder for years - since he was a very young boy. When I moved to Portland 4 years ago his family suggested their dental services since I was looking for a new routine doctor. I have been getting cleanings here ever since, and I just cant believe how amazing their staff is - literally everyone is such a delight. I always look forward to going there, because they remember your name and build relationships with you. Recently, I have even had some cosmetic rework done by Dr. Mitchell including a gingivectomy (suggested because I was unhappy with the shape of my gums), whitening, and replacement of my crowns. Dr. Mitchell and Jamie worked with me through the whole process (probably five appointments or so spread across a few months) and it was so nice to come back for my next appointment to people who remembered me and who know exactly what is going on in my mouth! I love the look of my whiter smile, and my replacement crowns and appreciate the care that they took of me. I will be a client for life. Honestly highly suggest them to anyone.
