My wife and I have been using the Senior Clinic for our primary care since moving to Colorado nearly two years ago. Overall, we are extremely pleased with the care, the attention to detail, the willingness to listen, the convenience, the expertise and pleasantness of the staff. One huge advantage if using the UC health center with senior clinic as primary care is that all of your medical and insurance records are in one place. Normally when I enter a doctors office, the receptionist shoves a clipboard with a dozen forms on it in my face and says come back to the desk when you have filled all of this out. At Anschutz, you only fill them out once. You can make corrections and updates on line. All of your records are available to you at any time online. Most importantly, the primary care physician (in our case a nurse practitioner) spends plenty of time with us, listens to what we have to say and discusses whether we need to seen any of the staff specialists. All of the specialists have been pleasant and helpful. Very seldom is there any appreciable wait time. We always feel respected and we have always felt that we could trust the expertise and care of the staff.

Im only giving them a single star because you cant do a review without any. Suffice it to say that none of what they told us would happen did. According to their site and advance paperwork he was to see a primary physician, we got the nurse practicioner. None of our concerns regarding my Fathers health were of any concern to her. She insisted that she had to talk to the patient which would be fine except he couldnt even verify his date of birth. She specifically told my Mother that she was reading the computer not listening to her because she was sure this was a long story. My Mom finally walked out. The Medical Assistant was pleasant enough. My father has dementia and substantial weight loss, neither of which were a concern to her but getting a very expensive CT scan sure was. No schedule of follow up, no well contact you with test results no nothing. If they schedule you with Levy decline their offer. Not only will I not be taking my Father back but if anyone asks Ill be happy to share the rest of my experience with them.

WE have been patients at the UC Senior Clinic for about 5 months. We have been patients at a major Los Angeles Medical Center for over 20 years and moved to Denver recently. So we have acquaintance with top notch quality care for seniors. At UC Health Seniors Clinic we have had extraordinary care, thoughtful follow up of symptoms and long standing issues. Our primary care provider is Nisa Levy. We do not know how the appointment with the family living with dementia went awry, but every appointment we have had has been thorough, caring, and family centered. Ms. Levy has arranged referrals appropriately and the UC staff follow up promptly. We get call backs if we do not respond in a timely manner! I am a health professional myself and have complete confidence in her. I recommend that you request her as your primary care provider.
