The doctor was nice enough, but not responsive. Nurse have been so rude. Ive spent hours on hold the past two days just trying to get a referral for a procedure. They care more about volume and charging for your visit than they do about getting you better. Please go anywhere else.

Great primary care provider! They were able to get me in same-day for an unexpected/urgent medical need and addressed everything I needed in one visit. I was worried since I recently just moved here from out of state but everything from making the last-minute appointment to the office visit itself could not have gone more smoothly. Dr. Carlos Prays was very kind and comprehensive - Id highly recommend him. The intake paperwork was also a breeze, there werent a lot of forms to fill out and I didnt feel any of it was repetitive (the intake nurse asked me about my medical history instead of me having to write it all down and also go through it verbally, which I appreciated).

Only reason I am giving 3 stars is because Dr. Prays and the Medical Assistant (LaShondra Jackson) are awesome and very pleasant. I do not want this review to reflect them because I am sure they have no clue whats going on. Being a medical professional myself, I pride myself on the patient care I provide and expect the same in return. I only have to be seen every 3 months for medication maintenance and every time, there is an issue. One of my medications require prior authorization, and this office seems to just ignore any requests sent to them. I was seen on 9/17 and my prior authorization still has yet to be initiated. This is unacceptable because even once my medication is approved, it has to be shipped to the pharmacy which is another 10-12 days. I am at this time out of medication!! I cannot function and provide adequate patient care without my medication! I have called several times, and still my medication sits awaiting prior auth. This is a 5-10 min. process, I get it is busy and we are all short staffed, however patient care should not be compromised. It is sad because Dr. Prays is absolutely amazing :-(... I travel an hour and a half from Covington to Atlanta just to see him.

Dr. Prays and all the staff that work in this office are great! Very responsive with inquiries in the app and when you leave them a vm. At previous primary physicians, I’ve had extremely long wait times and rude staff. Dr. Kauffman of North Atlanta Primary Care is the best doctor Ive ever had in my life. Most doctors walk in, spend a minute prodding and poking, ask a question or two, then they are gone. This is NOT the case with Dr. Kauffman. He takes the time to ask questions, he listens intently, and he provides a diagnosis in a friendly and direct manner. He is the kind of doctor that were missing in most practices - one who serves with humanity and compassion. He is a great man.

Nice staff and doctors, but the billing department has incorrectly billed my annual blood work for that past two years in a row. I called my insurance company (United Healthcare) and they explained that the billing department did not use the correct preventative care guidelines when billing the bloodwork. This leaves me with a bill for $400-$600 that I shouldnt have to pay. Its also impossible to get a hold of the billing department, so that they can correct this. Every call always ends up in voicemail regardless of which prompts you choose, and Ive never been called back.Never going back here again just because of the billing department. Too bad, because the doctors are great.

I have called several times and they keep transferring me, but no one is able to help me resolve the issue. I DO NOT recommend this place to anyone.

I just wanted to stop and say that this facility is absolutely amazing. My family just became new patients and the staff at both the Vinings and Midtown offices are super personable and helpful. Had no clue how to get my FMLA handled and their manager, Marshay, went above and beyond. She communicated updates and kept my dad informed the whole way. They worked to save me time and money by getting me an xray at my convenience. The staff was consistently busy but supportive, they were popping all over the place to answer a phone, a patient question, what have you. These people legitimately care about their patients. Dr. Carlos was the most relaxed doc I have met and I cannot stress how highly I recommend North Atlanta Primary Care!!

The office visit seemed cool. Doctor seemed to be knowledgeable and the office staff was nice. I was very pleased upon leaving this office. My main problem was with the billing department. I was billed for services I did not request. I tried disputing and they refused to adjust the charges. They even admitted they billed without knowing if the charges were covered. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this place. There are many providers out there to choose from.

This was the worst experience I have ever had at a doctors office. First off I asked for a number of tests to be done, and I either had to argue with the Dr. to have it done or it fell on deaf ears (they literally didnt even have it in their notes some of the tests I requested, which I requested to both the Dr. and nurse at least 10x...). The visit took over 2 hours - I have never had a physical take longer than an hour so this was also disturbing. The doctor also forgot to renew my medications after I made it known I needed refills, again - many times... The physician I saw was not the one I was initially promised and the one that did attend to me did not do a thorough job at all in checking me - needless to say it was a waste of my one year physical. After speaking to the Clinical Manager I thought there might be some remedy; after some discussion and thought, I called back the number he gave me to call (after he told me he would be readily available - its been over a week and still havent received a call back...) and leaving a message telling him that I wasnt sure I was going to continue with his clinic but would love to discuss, he has yet to return my phone call - is this really how you treat people? You only care about them up until you cant make money off them anymore and then just leave them hanging and dont respond? seriously pathetic. Lastly, they were supposed to give me a referral to go see a specialist to get a CT scan done - its been over a week and I am still waiting for that referral - I ended up having to pay out of pocket because the referral never arrived. This is really a horrible office and I hope people take the proper care in making sure they do their homework because this was a dreadful experience.Still waiting on that referral...

Dr. Richard Kauffman was recommended to me by my doctor before his retirement as one of the best primary care doctors in Atlanta. As a professor at Georgia State I was impressed with his medical degree with honors from the Medical College of Georgia and the reputation of his Health Care Center in Vinings, where I lived for most of my life. Dr. Kauffman has an international reputation for his volunteer medical missions to several poor counties in Southeast Asia, South Africa and the Caribbean. In my senior years, I have needed assistance from many fields and his medical contacts and ability to coordinate their findings have kept me in good health. My wife and friends that I have referred to Dr. Kauffman have similar experiences. I look forward to my medical visits with Dr. Kauffman as a rewarding experience in human relations.

Great, friendly reception that welcomes you into the office and assists in setting you up for your visit and quick to book your next appointment. I did not have to wait long to be seen by Amy, who was very bright, knowledgeable, and thoughtful. I came in thinking I needed a physical with a new provider, but she offered a checkup; as doing a checkup and physical should be booked as a double appointment. I appreciated her honesty and her helpfulness and did not have to wait for her after the nurse left the room.My only warning to new patients regards the parking situation at the West Paces facility. You will have to pay a small fee, usually $5, for parking, but it is nothing that should sway you from visiting the office for incredible care and attention to details and concern.

Overall Ive visited both Dr. Patel and Dr. Daniel and they both have excellent bedside manner and took my comments seriously when describing ailments to them. Id highly recommend Dr. Daniel as a primary physician.Only downsides to the West Paces location is the very tight paid parking garage. Prices go up to $7 after parking for an hour, and bigger vehicles may find it hard to park.Billing in general can be a bit frustrating as theyll over send payment notices even when I have paid through their online portal.Otherwise this location has great physicians.

North Atlanta Primary Care requested blood tests be done at the time of my annual exam, which led to a Quest bill, which I did not agree to.I got my annual physical exam completed on 8/30/2019 with North Atlanta Primary Care with Dr. Nicole Nettey. At the same time during my appointment, I called Cigna with the doctor, Nicole Nettey, present in the room and they both said that my physical would be covered 100% including the blood work I requested. I proceeded with the appointment. Blood work was completed with Quest and they invoiced me 11/5 and 12/10 for $22.04. I disputed this with Tracy/office manager at North Atlanta Primary Care. I called on 12/4 and 12/5 and spoke with Tracy/office manager with my complaint that the doctor filed the incorrect code for the charge as I made it clear with the doctor at the time of the appointment that I do NOT want any services that would be charged outside of the services covered under the annual physical exam. On 12/5/2019, Jessica G/Cigna advised that the doctor needed to submit a corrected claim with the correct code since she found an error in how the doctors office filed the claim and Jessica G/Cigna advised she left a voicemail for Tracy at the doctors office with the correct code to use to resubmit a corrected claim. Quest has sent another invoice to me on 12/10/2019 advising it is the third notice and threatening that I would need to pay to prevent further collection efforts. However, it was not in my error that the doctor requested this test that I did NOT agree to. Tracy/doctors office needs to cover the cost of this charge which I did not agree to having the blood test done. The Cigna rep on 1/10/2020 asked if the code was checked at the time of my appointment to confirm if it was preventative and Cigna nor the doctor EVER provided me the codes to cross reference at the time I called Cigna on 8/30/2019 during my appointment so that they could advise if the codes were covered. This Quest invoice / charge is SCAM and I was misled by the doctors office as the doctor made me believe that she would not be filing any codes outside of the preventative exam. It is completely unreasonable to have expected me, or any patient/customer, to have known at the time of the appointment when I made the phone call to Cigna with the doctor present with me to provide a list of codes that would be used for my annual physical. I never requested any blood test be done outside of my annual physical which would not be covered by Cigna.

It took 7 days of calling and sending emails to get a response from this place.NAPC gave me 25 days of a meditation, and referred me to another provider to continue it. Well, the office I was referred to had no availability for FOUR MONTHS. I called to see if they could refer me to someone else or to help me get in sooner, or to refill the rx until the appointment. I didnt get a response after multiple calls until I installed a stupid app on my phone to email the provider. When I finally did hear back, She said no. She was unwilling to help in any way and only addressed the refill request, totally ignored me asking for another referral or a sooner appt. Said it was a courtesy that she helped me in the first place. Now I have to start over - find a new PCP, get a new referral, etc. Total waste of my time and money.Steer clear of Amy Nowlin, the nurse practitioner. She is young and arrogant. The nurses and everyone else were nice and thorough; I will say that. But between the bad customer service (too busy for you attitude ) and bad practices and lack of experience and knowledge of the PA, I wont be going back and I highly suggest that you dont go either. Maybe the other doctors are better but good luck if you need to get in touch with a nurse or have a question.
