It was the best decision I ever made to switch to Van Meter! Caitlin and the whole team make my daughter and I feel welcome and Caitlin has shown general concern, love and compassion with my daughter I finally found a team I can trust with my little one and who is always there when we need them! Thank you to you All!!!

The best endocrinologist in town! My daughter has been with Dr. Van Meter for over 15 years, and he has always provided great service and care. His whole team is awesome 💕💜💕. Does your doctor call you to follow up or to give you your test results, or do they have an assistant or someone else to do it? Not Dr. Van Meter! You’ll receive a call from HIM every time. Is your time important? Well, this office flows smoothly. They value your time. No waiting 30, 40 or 50 minutes to be seen. 10/10 recommend.

Great experience with Dr Van Meter! He’s the best doctor we’ve seen for our daughter in her 5 short years of life (with lots of appointments). My husband and I both wish he could be her primary care doctor because he’s smart, observant, experienced, and very kind… all the things you want in a doctor.

DO NOT COME HERE if you care about your child. Dr. Van Meter was dismissive of my concerns and condescending during my appointment. He never bothered to look up as I spoke. I explained that I noticed my son had hair loss and Dr. Van Meter’s (an elderly adult) response was that he wished he had the amount of hair my 13yr old had. I’m disgusted by the lack of professionalism that Dr. Van Meter displayed. I also noticed that he made a diagnosis of my child without having spoken a single word to him or even examining him. I will be finding another provider and I recommend that anyone considering this office does the same.

My grandson’s physical appearance was literally changing every day before our eyes and so was our concern for his health. In search of where to take him for an evaluation we found Van Meter Pediatric Endocrinologist and am relieved and happy that we did.Dr. Van Meter is an excellent doctor, he is caring, firm and has such a warm presence about him; my grandson related to him immediately.Knowledge is power, he explained his diagnosis in terms we could understand and ensured us we were on the road to recovery if we followed his plan.A practice is as good as its staff, all were friendly, helpful and professional.Thank you Dr. Van Meter and staff!!

I took my 15-year-old daughter to see Dr Kim today. I was very pleased.. weve spent the several last years at CHOA in a giant machine where I just felt like a number. The visit was super thorough and very educational. Im so glad that we finally made the switch!

Dr. Van Meter was board line rude, had very poor bedside manners. This was our very first trip, but we will certainly seek another provider. He continually cut us off when we were answering his questions, and he would not slow down long enough to listen to anything we were saying. Office appt was very brief, short wait time, office staff was friendly and helpful.

If you want honest, caring medical help for your child, this the the only place to go for endocrinology. We left another practice when our daughter was diagnosed with Type 1 at 21 mos of age. We found Mary Bertossi at this practice and she is phenomenal! We have been seeing her for years, and our daughter is now 14. They truly care about each patient and listen to your concerns and work with you to create a plan that fits both medically and each individuals lifestyle. Receptionists come and go, but the owner, and his team of Medical personnel care about you and your loved one-bottom line. Would never go see anyone else.

I am giving this review based on my experience. I did read the reviews before going. Our pediatrician referred Dr. Van Meter so I decided to go ahead with setting up an appointment. The receptionist must be new because in reading the reviews I did see a lot of problems with the receptionist. The gentleman that is there now has been very nice and helpful every time I’ve called. The office was very clean and most of the staff was friendly, there were some that seemed bothered if asked a question. When we were called back we were told that we would be seeing a different doctor. I understand that things happen so we proceeded. We seen Dr. Toni Kim and I was not impressed at all. She didn’t seem to care about the reason we were there for my daughter. She only seemed to care about telling her what to do. I have never been to a doctors office where they try to be the parent, I was so taken back by that and she did know my frustration with her. She was very impatient with my daughter. She did not care to hear my concerns, it seemed as if she was in a rush the entire time. We live an hour and a half away so being rushed wasn’t what I expected. It was the worst visit we’ve experienced and we will most definitely not be going back there.

My 19 year old daughter has been a patient of Dr. Low for the past 4 years. Dr.Low is a true blessing. My daughter was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at the age of 21 months old. With the help and guidance of Dr. Low, my daughter has the best control of her diabetes now. Dr. Low is knowledgeable, trust worthy, treats my daughter with care and concern, and always makes us feel welcome at his practice. He is so very patient and spends as much time with us as we need. We have used his patient portal for the past 4 years to correspond with his team. We are always responded to quickly in regards to school paperwork and Rx refills. We recommend Dr Low highly. He is the best endocrinologist that we have ever seen.

My child had his first visit today at Van Meter pediatric endocrinology and I was extremely happy with my experience. We saw Mary the Nurse practitioner for our appointment and I must say she was amazing. She took her time, listened to all my concerns and answered all my questions. She really put my mind at ease. The whole staff was full of smiles and very friendly. I highly recommend this office to anyone looking for a pediatric endocrinologist.

Had issues getting an appointment, staff were rude, the doctor placed her on medication for thyroid (was supposed to send a prescription to pharmacy but didnt and when I called multiple times) gave my daughter something to take until the prescription was filled, but since they didnt send it she ended the other cold turkey, Ive been hung up on, talk down to, and not had any call back in regards to anything I called about. I had to keep calling and reaching put until I got tired and just cancelled altogether. Maybe they treat others differently, and I hope others are happy, but they treat my family (who paid upfront cash because insurance didnt cover it) like we were not important or that my daughters health wasnt a priority. Not happy at all and do not recommend this facility or Dr. Low or Melissa. Going elsewhere to pay cash and maybe well get treated better and my daughter can get the treatment shes supposed to have. Come to find out my insurance did pay unlike the person at the desk said they wouldn’t. My insurance covered the bill but I haven’t received a refund. Around 400$ never went back and the other doctor I went to wondered why she was even out on medication in the first place bc her numbers weren’t high. Make sure you get multiple tests instead of one doctor’s unreasonable diagnosis.

I have come to this practice thrice in a year’s time and have been very disappointed with the wait time. I have spent a min. of an hour waiting to be seen. This has happened all the times I have been here. If I take a morning appointment they say afternoon is better, and when I take afternoon appointment they say morning is better. I am not sure what really goes on but this doesn’t make me very happy with an appointment taking me to block 3 - 4 hours of my work schedule. It’s been mostly for the doctor I see - The other doctors seem to be seeing the patients in time. So I don’t know what to think.

My daughter has been going to VanMeter Endocrinology for a year now. Shes seen Dr. Mary, Dr. Vanmeter and also Dr. Low. They are are skilled professionals with a warm and caring bedside manner. Im thankful we have found them. They do alternate with appts morning/evening which is fair since many kids are school aged. Thanks!

I dont know what is going on with the scheduling at this place. Both of my sons are patients and our first appointment for one of them we had to wait over an hour after our appt time and ended up seeing a nurse practitioner instead of the dr qe were scheduled with. When we first got there a parent came in with a child starting that they were 45 minutes late for their appt.... they were seen before us. Today, my other son was scheduled for an appointment for weeks and after driving 45 minutes we were told he didnt even have an appointment. I am 100 percent positive he did. Someone is really not handling the scheduling around here. Also, I waited 2 days for a call back about my sons medication.
