I recently got two teeth extracted and this was by far the best dental experience ever. Dr Gordon did a great job at informing me on the best options for my specific needs and educated me on the process to help me better understand the state of my dental health. I had my wisdom teeth removed Monday, 11/02/20 and Dr. Gordon was really great! Dr Gordon was amazing!!! He was so kind to my grandmother and myself as well! And I wasn’t even a patient. He spoke to everyone in the lobby individually which is rare for a physician of any type. I must say that I was so afraid to have oral surgery to have all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed, but when I first met Dr. Gordon for my consultation, he was so warm and friendly and assured me that everything would be okay. Most people feel as if the wisdom teeth removal process is one of the scariest things to ever encounter . My experience wasnt like that at all at Southwest Maxillofacial Surgery & Implants Center . I got my 4 wisdom teeth pulled June 1. I wasnt in as much pain as I thought. Just bleeding gums (which is normal). The staff is also very friendly and greets you upon arrival. The doctor, Dr. Gordon reassures that you are comfortable and feeling your best before and after Surgery. If youre going to get your wisdom teeth extracted, go see Dr. Gordon!

His entire staff took great care of me, calling and emailing me about my appointment dates. Giving my wife and I excellent instructions on what to do before and after the procedure. Two day after the procedure Dr. Jacques personally called me to make sure that everything was ok. He even sent me a letter and thanked me for choosing his business.Overall this was a great experience and I would recommend this company to everyone I know.

Last week I walked in Dr. Gordon’s office With a wisdom tooth that was badly infected. This was his last day in the office before the holiday and he told me he doesn’t normally do this but he went ahead and took the tooth out and drain the infection. I went back in today for my follow up and Dr. Gordon for me that he felt like I would’ve been in the ER in a couple days if he had taken it out. I want to thank Dr. Gordon for his professionalism and his great staff I highly recommend them!

My appointment was at 7:45am this morning and I elected to have the laughing gas opposed to being put to sleep. From the moment Dr. Jacques DMD walked into the room he had a big smile on his face and made me feel comfortable. He informed me step by step what the laughing gas does and how itll make me feel. Once he commemced removing my top two wisdom teeth he continuously checked with me to ensure I was okay. I was alert the entire time and laughing at times. I endured absolutely NO pain and my overall experience by Dr. Jacques and his staff was above and beyond.Attached is a photo I snapped from my iPhone within 15 minutes after my surgery was performed. Yes, my cheeks are swollen a little, but mostly from the gauzes inside of my mouth. I highly recommend Dr. Jacques. Hes the most professional doctor Ive met since moving to Atlanta.Update: Within 5 days after having my top wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Jacques Gordon, my swelling is completely gone (before and after pics attached).

BEST PLACE TO GO FOR ANY ORAL SURGERY! The staff was extremely nice to me and my son, and even though I showed up 20 min late of my appointment on a busy day they still accepted me (they didn’t have to). They were very detailed in the care instructions given to me to get my wisdoms teeth out & after the surgery I was able to get in contact with Dr. Gordon at any time of the day . He really took care of me & I honestly can say I didn’t have any pain what so ever (sounds crazy right?). I chose the laughing gas method which he gave me another option to go to sleep. After this experience I would recommend the laughing gas if you don’t have anybody to drive you home. I was able to walk out of there the same way I walked in, if I had chosen to fall asleep I would have had to bring my brother to drive me back home. I felt really happy that I went to Dr. Gordon, my coworker and I got our wisdom teeth removed in the same week by different doctors. By day 3 I was able to return to work & day 4 I was eating chips. My coworker was coming to work with a scarf on trying to hide the swelling ! Lol everybody is different and I understand that the older you get the healing process can be longer but bottom line, Dr. Gordon and his staff were very thorough with the follow ups insuring I have no concerns, infections, or dry sockets. ALSO, I received a little gift for being their patient and I do appreciate the little things so I HIGHLY recommend this place & I hope this review helps anybody who might be interested in going here. I say Go for it !

Excellent service. Dr. Gordon and his entire staff were very courteous and professional. Dr. Gordon did an awesome job removing my wisdom tooth. I had very little pain, and the recovery time was quick.

I was very impressed at my consultation however when i came for my procedure i was made to feel like i was nothing but an angry poor black man trying to get over. I brought my husbands bankcard which my name on the account but not the card. Its a debit card so tell me why they made me have him take a picture of his ID and him to write a statement signing it stating he is allowing me to use the bankcard. This is the most STUPIDEST thing i ever heard of with a debit card. Mind you i had to take 4 pills one hour prior to my surgery, needless to say i missed my a.m. appointment so they then told me to comeback at 11:30. I walk in give them my Mastercard, the girl took my card to the back, im not kidding for 4 minutes. Then she asks me did i take 4 more pills, i said No, here you have to take 4 more. This was the WORST experience i had even before he performed the procedure. If it was HIGHLY RECOMMENDED by my cardiologist to have my tooth IMMEDIATELY, i would have DEFINITELY gone someplace else. FRIENDLY Yes, organized and most professional, i beg to defer. I wont be coming back to this place.

I was very nervous about wisdom teeth surgery! Dr. Gordon and his staff reassured me and on surgery day everything went great! My pain during and after was minimal to none, nothing to be nervous. Would definitely recommend him and his wonderful staff.

Amazing experience! I went to Dr. Gordon on recommendation of my general dentist and my coworkers. I needed 2 full bony wisdom teeth extractions (teeth were fully under my gums) and 2 regular wisdom teeth extractions. From my very first visit to my last visit, Dr. Gordon and his staff were more than accommodating. They were funny and personable, definitely trying to make me as comfortable as they could for the procedure.Visit 1: Dr. Gordon goes over my case and exactly in great detail what would happen. He included me in all decision making.Visit 2: I went to extract all 4 of my wisdom teeth, 2 which were full bony. I received nitrous which made me comfortable. Dr. Gordon talked to me and joked during the whole procedure with his assistant. I was done within a HOUR.As I was leaving the assistant asked how I was feeling since the nitrous can cause an unsettling stomach. I assured her I was ok. But once I got back into the reception office I begin to throw up from the upset stomach she warned me about. Not only did the assistant clean the office, she cleaned me up as well WITH A SMILE. Totally compassionate and understanding. I dont care want anyone say, no one wants to clean up vomit. Yet, she didnt make me feel bad about it at all. She showed more sympathy than anything.Dr Gordon prescribed meds that kept the discomfort and swelling down. I was able to attend planned functions within 2 days.Visit 3: I came back for my post opt visit. Dr. Gordon checked everything and further explain what I can expect from this point on. Even after he got my money, his staff was lovely and the doctor himself goes over and beyond.I never want to do it again but if I ever have to, Dr. Gordons office will be the office I call.

I REALLY ENJOY MY TIME WHEN I DO HAVE TO COME VISIT, THE TEAM IS VERY FRIENDLY AND KIND THEY MAKE SURE THAT YOU ARE WELL TAKEN CARE OF FROM THE TIME YOU WALK IN TO THE TIME YOU LEAVE. Best doctor I’ve been too ! Great expirence , had to get two painful wisdom teeth taken out because they were causing a lot of pain , and he was able to get me in ASAP ! With me being a heart patient I’m not able to be put to sleep , so I was alert during the procedure and it was still a breeze ! Pain for a couple days after wards , but after that I felt no pain or discomfort ! So thankful that I found him !! I would recommend him to anyone !

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DR. GORDON!! I was searching and searching for a good oral surgeon to remove my wisdom teeth before getting braces. My wisdom teeth were impacted and grew in sideways. One of my wisdom tooth was very close to my nerve that put me in high risk of having temporary or permanent numbness in my jaw. I was very stressed and nervous because of course I dont want half of my face being permanently numb. He came in the room with great energy, a smile on his face, and assured me everything will be okay. To make sure I wouldnt be at risk for numbness in my face he said he may do a partial tooth removal where the root of the tooth will be left in to allow the root to move away from the nerve over time allowing for a safer tooth extraction later. Out of all the oral surgeons and dentists I spoke to about my concerns he was the only one that recommended that option. Thats when I was assured I went to the right oral surgeon.The day of my surgery it was very quick and easy. I was very nervous. He came in smiling. His staff was very polite and considerate. I chose to be put to sleep during the surgery because thats just what was best for my peace of mind lol. I was hoping he would be able to remove all my wisdom teeth instead of the partial extraction. I did not want to go through this all over again, but I understood he would do what was best for me. I woke up from the surgery immediately excited I could move both sides of my mouth. He came in and said he was able to remove the whole tooth YAYYYYYY! The holes in my mouth from werent large at all I had a very quick healing process. He even called that day to make sure I was feeling okay and if I had any questions or concerns. HES THE BEST GO TO DR. JACQUES GORDON!!(FYI: His first name is pronounced like Jock more specifically its french like when you sing the nursery rhyme frere jacques as a kid. I got a little too excited thinking his name was pronounced like the R&B singer Jacquees lol Hopefully me sharing my ignorance will help someone not to make the same mistake lol)

Absolute worst doctor and office. I was there for wisdom teeth extraction of 3 teeth. I was in the chair, given a ton of laughing gas, and he began to operate. All of a sudden, he stops the procedure and tells me he refuses to do it without me being completely under. Mind you, the surgery had already started! It was so crazy. I said that what hes doing is awful and I wont be coming back. He then has me leave his facility. Im still completely out of it due to the laughing gas. Like this experience showed me that the devil is real. There was no conflict. Hes just super crazy and abusive to his patients. Dr Jacques Gordon was the doctor who treated me this way.

All I can say is Hakuna Matata! Dr. Gordon is by far the best oral surgeon Ive ever encountered. Hes very detailed oriented when explaining each individual diagnosis. Both he and his awesome staff gave me plenty of reassurance regarding the procedure and what to expect afterwards. Considering the fact that I had 5 teeth pulled (4 wisdom and a 2nd molar) it was truly a breeze! I highly recommend Dr. Gordon if you need your wisdom teeth removed! You will have no worries!
