I try to never leave bad reviews unless its something major, but the highlights I got here have left me in tears over the last several days and not wanting to go out in public. I received a haircut and partial highlights from Shelby. I dont have any complaints about the cut, that actually looks very nice, but the highlights are absolutely awful. The highlights turned out chunky and stripey and somehow look like they are weeks grown out. They are also a yellow orange white color in some places and absolutely do not blend whatsoever. I just wanted something natural that would blend well with my natural hair color (dirty blonde), but that is not how these turned out. My appointment was at the end of the day and I did not notice how bad the highlights actually turned out until I got home later that night and looked at them closer. I am so disappointed because Shelby was a very nice person to work with and I was hoping to have finally found a local spot in which to get my hair done. I have no idea how this happened and I just hope I can find someone to fix it.

I came here for a massage and it was fantastic! I bought the massage on Groupon. They were a little behind schedule for my massage but Jay still gave me my full 90 minute session. This was literally the best massage I’ve ever had. Jay was so good and it was so relaxing. He was engaging and listened to my requests. I will definitely be returning!

I scheduled a 60 minute massage for my sister’s birthday. We arrived a little late for the appointment & was willing to shorten the massage time. Donna expressed that she would be willing to come in on her day off to do the massage so that my sister can enjoy the entire massage. She was absolutely amazing!!! Thank you Donna for being so accommodating & kind! Please keep shining because you are definitely a gem!

Donna was was nice and her energy was great, but she kept saying my face was suppose to peel and sending me pictures of someone else’s peel, then said I wasn’t going to peel. So, I was like okay what is it suppose to do then! I definitely should peel. I feel like maybe she didn’t even give me a chemical peel. My face didn’t peel at all, nowhere, not even a little. Nothing! She did the microdermabrasion less than 3 minutes. I thought it took longer and I didn’t know it hurt. I won’t be returning. A waste of money.

Called ahead to make an appointment for a color and keratin treatment and lucky Eli was able to squeeze me in that same day!! I am super impressed by his work. He is a great stylist and an amazing person! Had a great time with him and I absolutely LOVED how my hair turned out. Already made another appointment for a gloss and cut in one month. The salon was super clean and all the other stylist took precautions of social distancing and encouraged everyone to wear masks. They were all super nice as well. 100% recommend! Thank you guys!!

I had a haircut and it was done well . I asked my husband to get it done and it was hideous.haircut was awful and even the ends were not trimmed properly.wish i could do something to make it even

Shelby does my hair cut and color! I’m new to the state as of a year ago and I will ONLY go to Shelby for my hair coloring and cut!! It takes about 3-4 hours to do my thick hair and Shelby doesn’t get tired and loves to chat with me!!

Me and a friend had massage appointments for Mother’s Day when I received a text the morning of stating the lady that was assigned to me had called out and they were short staffed. I’m highly disappointed as we were looking forward to this starting our day off and had made accommodations. If she didn’t want to work Mother’s Day she should have requested off. Now ours is ruined

I’ve been getting my hair dyed for years and honestly it’s one of the best services I’ve ever received. The salon was clean and nice, I got a full platinum highlight by Vanessa and she is AMAZING! Super professional, definitely recommend her for coloring and cut. Everyone that works there seemed polite and professional and I’m very satisfied with Vanessa’s skilled service. I’ll be back there next time. Highly recommended

The things they’re saying about Dionne are very accurate. You’re going to feel uncomfortable, awkward, and as if you’re interrupting her day. The massage was about a grade “C+” and the professionalism was a nice D- for me. So I settled on 2 stars. I only came here because my friend got me a Groupon but honestly G Salon is probably better off taking the Groupon down because the more people use it and get scheduled with her, the more frequent and worse these reviews are going to get. I could go on, but she’s brought me down enough lol

Best place for a massage. Tim was Amazing!! It was a whole new experience. The massage was energy driven and a stress relief. I truly felt he rid some toxins. I was so relaxed, calmness took over my body. I couldnt get up for a few minutes. Hes very knowledgeable in his field. Im def going back to see Tim!!

So I received a massage from dionne and in a 4 year sen journey this was by far the worst massage Ive ever had regardless if she has personal issues I came for a zen/centering/relaxing experience and that wasnt it at all.I did ask for deep pressure but all through the massage I felt very perturbed and irritated

Leo was absolutely amazing!!! Although his English was so so, his hands spoke the right language. Every time he hit the right spot I wanted to tip him more. Seriously I kept contemplating how much more because he is that great. He knows the body so well that I didnt even have to tell him my troubled area, he just knew and I had to ask how. He said the muscle here (pointing) was tight (signing), so it wasnt just one spot he knew where else to go to make it better. If only homedics products were that good. Thanks Leo

They were a nice staff and I love how my hair color came out. The eyebrow wax was less painful than any I have experienced before. The only issue I have is they call a trim a haircut and charge $75 on top of everything else. I wish I would have noticed that on their service list before agreeing with the stylist offer to trim around a centimeter off. Great service overall though

Great visit, hands down fabulous hair cut!!!! There are very people, in past, that can please me with a hair cut & be completely on point. Sheila knows how to give a fabulous hair that is guaranteed to please. I was very nervous about letting anyone go in, and do some layering and texturizing. Her knowledge & experience showed through from the moment she put her hands in my hair. I’ve always loved my hair, I have lots of it & generally speaking it’s pretty versatile with styling. Cutting has always been the issue. I can’t tell you the last time I had a 5***** hair cut, and I’m just thrilled!!! Thanks Sheila!

The owner and the stylist seemed fine. The appointment started with a 40 minutes delay. Before appointment I asked if there is a take home product included in the price - their text back included the product name. I took it as an yes. While checking out I asked for the product so the cashiers(owner family member may be) response was abusive and she told me that I dont know English. ( I am a graduate from Georgia tech and have studied English for 20 years) . I am getting my friends to cancel their appointment because the checkout was very very disrespectful .thats not how professional respond to questions.Edit (based on owners response) - The CCTV/camera will show that I never took a shampoo or conditioner off the shelf by my shelf and started walking out. I asked stylist - hey i might be getting a take home product. Then the stylist took it out, showed it to me. When someone told me there is no take home kit. I asked them to bill me for the service and then left.

My massage at G Salon was amazing. I am a hair stylist so my neck and shoulders are always tight and uncomfortable, but after my massage, I felt so relaxed and the tightness was gone. The music and atmosphere was soothing and upon arrival I was greeted with a choice of water, tea or coffee. Ill definitely be back!

Wanted to go from black to dark red which honestly didn’t need a bleaching process...but he bleached my hair anyways because he said he didn’t know how else it would work... maybe it was a communication problem, but I think stylist should know better. I shown him so many photos of what I wanted.My hair turned out way brighter than I wanted and I ended up having to visit studio twice. And even after that I had more luck getting to the results I wanted with a box from Kroger.Had a haircut that wasn’t even & I straightened my hair to find that out. Just upset to realize I didn’t need to bleach my hair to the extent that it was bleached. Wasn’t worth $200 for the results.

Christina is great. Shelby is, probably, very good too, but obviously burned out and too busy to do a good job. One of the partners is a complete psychopath, be careful when you voice your opinion about anything, you might get stabbed or at least called names. Went to Salon Studios to fix my hair, they did an amazing job. There are many amazing stylists there working on their own terms and doing an amazing job.

Tried G spa for the first time! Professional and clean atmosphere. Super happy with my cut. Also the stylist told me how i could achieve the same look at home, and i was actually able to re-create!!! 5 stars

Shelia MaBelle is truly gifted when it comes to hair. She not only listens to what exactly you want, Shelia makes you feel extremely comfortable. I have the best time when I see her. If you want knock out hair, I highly recommend you see her.

Ive been to G Salon several times since I moved to Atlanta and I will absolutely continue to go! Lluka is, by far, the best colorist Ive ever had -- a true artist! And Shelby gave me a gorgeous cut and hair treatment after which I received a number of compliments. On top of this, the atmosphere is relaxed and stylists are really friendly. You will not be disappointed!

Tried to buy some products and was told we couldnt buy them because there is no one to check us out?

I have gone to the G Salon 4times now. Twice for a facial and twice for a hair cut. Overall I have been pleased with my services. However this last visit changed my entire opinion. I never thought in my 27yrs I would ever be a girl who would cry over a haircut until now. My hair was passed the middle of my back I have naturally curly hair that I typically style straight or curled. I brought in a picture of a haircut I had gotten before and loved. It was a shorter edgy cut. When I mean shorter I mean shorter from where my hair was like chest length. Well my hair barley touches my shoulders when natural which I never wear it like that and it has no style what so ever. The gentleman who cut my hair did a horrible job it was a blah haircut with nothing to it simply awful! My husband and co-workers commented how they didnt like it and I should have never paid for it. I called the salon and was very polite because the it wasnt the receptionists fault. I asked if I could please get refunded as this was not what I asked for. The owner refused and said unless there was something technically wrong with it and at that point they would re-cut it. Well 1. There was nothing more to cut and 2. I have two little boys which I had to pay a babysitter $40 to go get my hair done plus the 30min to get there and the $40 to get the dreadful haircut I got. So to go back and have them fix it I would still have to pay a babysitter again. Insane and I would never go back because of this. I even asked kindly while crying on the phone for the owner to reconsider. Very disappointed.

I highly recommend Angel. Shes got magic in those hands and elbows. I can really feel where the tense spots and now where they used to be.

Ismael and Luka do a fantastic job every time, they are so professional and friendly. I normally see Ismael, and he makes a conscious effort to understand what youre looking for, and ALWAYS manages to exceed my expectations. I wouldnt trust anyone else with my hair!! I have been coming to this salon for over a year now! If you havent already done so, you should definitely give it a try!!!

I will never come to the salon again. My stylist was amazing. But when I went to go to the front to pay for my service I gave the front guy $200 bills he said that he didn’t have change so I went back in my wallet and grabbed some 20s and gave him some 20s and then I asked my hundred dollar bill back and he said that here he gave it to me I said no you did it recount everything it’s right there underneath all the 20s and then he went to pretended that he forgot and he thought he gave it to me but you do not forget to give somebody back there hundred dollar bill within 10 seconds they are very shady

Updated--I have been going to G Salon off and on for several years, and keep coming back after trying other places. This was the first place I got highlights (from the late co-founder, Garland, where the G in the name comes from), and is the only place that gets my highlights color right. I have used different stylists at G Salon over the years, and I know that I will have the outcome I am looking for each time I go in, particularly with the color (I had no idea highlights coloring could be so hard until I went to some other well-known places in town and had disastrous results, even after going back for a re-do). The owner, Craig, is a great person, and is willing to bend over backwards to accomodate his clients. The staff is friendly and helpful from the moment you walk in, all the way through checkout. I have also had massages and facials there, which were each fantastic and totally relaxing. Highly recommend you try G Salon, if youre not already a fan.

Amazing experience here! The owners are so nice and they all took great care of my mom and I for Mothers Day. This was truly a unique, hospitable, and warm group and experience. Definitely visiting when back in Atlanta.

Sep works very quickly - the good part. In his haste he neglected some grays and the cut looked randomly hacked up, continuity missing in obvious places. I want to walk out looking great the first time, not to have to take a couple of hours to go back and attempt to have things fixed. He is very nice and low key, but I couldve gotten the same results and spent a lot less $ at supercuts or someplace like that.

Booked an appointment online through their website for a 90 min deep tissue massage, got my text confirmation, showed up 10 mins prior to my appointment and was told the appointment was not showing up on their system. The massage therapist was called and I was told she was over an hour away. Obviously some system issues need to be worked out - wasted my time driving to and from.

I get massages roughly once to twice a month and tried this place due to a special promotion and can honestly say that this is one of the worst massages Ive ever experienced. My appointment was with a guy named Evan so I cant speak about the other individual working there to be fair. Im quite an athletic guy and work out 4 to 5 times a week and do tend to get sore and lactic acid build up which needs to be worked out. While I can certainly appreciate guidelines and laws regarding being properly draped, he barely went above my knee caps to work out my hamstrings and never touched my chest on the front. As any athlete knows, legs tend to get the sorest from workouts.From my personal experience, I would highly recommend that you skip this place, there are much more talented massage therapists out there....

Ive had a really nice experience at G Salon as a backup when my stylist is booked. The Salon space is modern and inviting. Ive been in for a hair cut with Luka, which looks great AND was super last minute-- they squeezed me in an hour after I called on a Saturday! A few years ago I used a Groupon for a massage, and the environment was soothing and wonderful. The massage itself was average, but worth it for the price.

I always arrive to a warm welcome and friendly staff and always leave with a great haircut and/or color feeling pampered. I love the product selection (Phyto, Davines, etc). This place has a lot of fake on here positive reviews, and also on Groupon (& stock photos that have little to do with the actual store). I called to make an appointment and the one guy who runs the store asked to redeem my Groupon voucher at the time of making my appointment, as a guarantee that I wouldnt be late to my appointment. Earlier hed refused to make an appointment without getting my cell phone no. & email as well. Needless to say, I didnt make my appointment here aince there plenty of other options in Atlanta.

Ismael did a FANTASIC job on my hair! He took his time with the shampooing and conditioning. He cut it better than I could have described to him how I wanted it cut. He used an anti frizz serum on my hair, and styled it afterwards! I have a lot of hair so it was definitely time consuming but Ismael didnt rush. After he got done styling my hair he made a few more touch ups and my hair looked better than it has ever looked before. I am so pleased to have found a stylist in Atlanta, and I will definitely be a reoccurring customer. Thank you again Ismael, Ive gotten so many compliments!

Ive been coming here on and off again since 2015. I come here for somewhat semi-annual keratin treatments. I can say with great pleasure I never leave this place unsatisfied. I love the vibe and positive energy of the place. I was first turned on to this place with a Groupon and afterwards theyve always given me discount for repeat keratin treatments. If you are looking for a salon home, make sure you keep this place in mind.

You really cant go wrong with any of the stylists at G Salon, but Shelby is literally a miracle worker! I live somewhat far from G Salon, and I recently made the mistake of trying a hair salon near my house that claimed to specialize in blonde (which resulted in my terrible before picture - I guess specializing in blonde was code for turning your hair into an orange mess). I had gotten haircuts and keratin treatment with Shelby before, so I quickly asked her if she could fix the orange tragedy. I was AMAZED with how much she was able to correct it! Thank goodness! Shelby did a keratin treatment on my hair a few weeks before my wedding earlier this year as well, which kept my updo smooth and frizz-free! She is amazing and such a pleasure to spend time with! Highly recommend her and G Salon!

I had an appointment for a facial at 3:00 and they called at 1:30 asking me if it was okay to push my appointment back to 5:00. No, that is not okay. I made the appointment two weeks early and received a confirmation text the day before. The man on the phone gave no reason and didnt seem terribly apologetic. I dont live nearby and was already on my way. If you book one of their intro deals dont expect your appointment to be valued. I will not be rescheduling.

My hair color was beautiful however I confirmed a one to two inch trim bc of split ends and he cut SIX inches off my hair!!! He did exactly what he wanted without regard to my request. I used a Groupon and was told my fullcolor service was not included and I had to pay an $18 upcharge that I did not request and was not informed of any up charge during my service. Buyer beware I will never be back!

My husband booked my appointments for me and it took me foreverrr to come due to my busy work schedule. I finally went to get my facial and body massage! Omg I must say!!!! It was well worth every penny! The gentlemen’s up front was very welcoming! I immediately felt like home. Mollyray did an amazing job with my facial. She gave me advice on how to properly clean my face and what to use and not to use. The best!!!! Angel did my massage and it was to die for! I just left G spa crying like a baby because my feeling was so hurt from a very rude person who works at the front desk.So this is what happened, I went there to get a chemical peel, I had a Groupon, the lady who did my peel was very sweet and very professional. After she was done I went at front desk to check out, I gave the guy at front desk my phone so he could redeemed the Groupon, but he say the Groupon has been redeemed already. I was like it cant be, its my first time here. I told him to give me a second to call Groupon so we could sort this out, I know for a fact that i have not use the Groupon yet. He start raising his voice at me saying, well Groupon has nothing to do with this because you have already redeemed it, maybe you used it somewhere else. he was going on and on and making me feel like I was a lier. Again I told him no i have not use the Groupon, he walked away angry, and I got on the phone with Groupon. To Make the story short, G spa called me to Rescheduled my appointment one day before my original appointment date, and they forgot to make changes in their computer, and somehow, their system automatically redeemed the Groupon on the day I was originally scheduled to come. Although the manager was very nice, The rude guy at front desk never apologized to me. It was a horrible and embarrassing experience, I will never go there again.

Worst haircut of my life BY FAR and I am the least picky about hair- Ive always gone to Great Clips before. The guy chopped horizontally into the middle of my hair so that I have a huge chunk missing near my face on each side. This isnt a story of someone upset bc they cut too short or it wasnt perfect- EVERYONE who has seen the cut has been MORTIFIED by it and so was I. Not sure how anyone with a license could have done this to someone who just wanted a trim. I had to cut off all my long hair to somewhat disguise it. Instead of offering to refund or discount the nightmare, they offer to fix it, as if anyone would go back after that experience. Also they first cancelled my appointment one hair before time. They rescheduled me someone who was starting his first day without telling me. Overall terrible experience

Let me start by saying had a good massage after a not so great beginning. Bought the massage on groupon - so it was my first visit. 1) i showed up 15 min early for my appointment (normal in my standards for any type of appointment) and I walked up to the front door where two employees (later learned one was the owner) were standing talking and the other employee was smoking. 2) I walked into the salon and no one was there to greet me or ask why I was there or to check me in! I had to open the front door again and tell the owner outside talking to his employee that I was there for an appointment. 3) I then waited until 7:14 for my 7 pm massage - I get it, appointments run over, but please call the clients ahead of time!! ATL is busy and most of us are coming from work. Could have had some extra time. 4) When I voiced my opinion about this (I would say Im aggressive, but never bitchy - I have worked in restaurants and currently work in customer service - I know bitchy!) and the owner told me to basically shut up because I have mentioned that 3 times. He was so rude I CRIED!!! And I am not a cryer. Anyways, I feel bad because the massage was good and the lady was oh so nice(!!!), but I will not be supporting a business that talks to clients that way.... the customer is always right (never know who they are..)! Plus for every bad experience a person has they tell 10 people - compared to a good experience they only tell 3! Keep that in mind....
