Ben as well as the other staff members (graduate student earning clinical hours/experience, administrative staff, and undergraduate intern) all made the patient experience very welcoming. With regard to physical therapy, Ben and the student staff are very patient-oriented and work to help you pursue your goals and are transparent about which are feasible in your individual case. My plan felt very individualized, which was important for me as someone who was coming for an injury that was a decade old. Highly recommend this Athletico branch!

I am a competitive weightlifter and dislocated my elbow and tore a bunch of ligaments in my arm during national competition. I went to Athletico because they were the only place that could get me in quickly. I worked with Ben and he has healed me completely in less than 3 months. He is very knowledgeable and my experience at Athletico was extremely positive. I would highly recommend Ben to anyone in need of healing I am forever thankful for him.

I fractured my ankle playing soccer and after I finally got out of my walking boot, I started going to Ben at Athletico for my physical therapy. Ben, Patty and Cory were so welcoming and honestly, going there felt like an escape of sorts for me during that rough time. Ben individualized my ankle rehab to my needs (CrossFit and soccer) and he and Cory challenged me to work hard during my sessions. He also took the time to get to know me as a person throughout my 6 weeks of treatment, which included a lot of great, meaningful conversation and laughs, too. Those additions (which a lot of practitioners do not necessarily take the time to do) made my experience with Athletico 10x more enjoyable. I always left my sessions feeling refreshed, relaxed (though often sweaty) and reassured that I was on the right path toward doing the things that I love again. I decided to go to PT after 6+ months of back pain. I’m a very active individual and love lifting weights but in doing so I was aggravating an injury I never addressed. I kept going to the chiropractor because I thought that’s what I needed but he never gave me any answers. After my assessment at Athletico I felt confident that my issue would be resolved. Ben was always very attentive listening to my questions and teaching me the foundations to get back to my active lifestyle. This week I am pain free and have been able to train again without my back bothering me. Ben also tries to understand you as whole to provide better treatment.I enjoyed my sessions, and I also feel stronger than I have before. Ben has been excellent to work with. He understands the pain and focuses on giving clients an understanding of what would best help, while empathizing and understanding the struggles of the pain and injuries. He has been very patient-centered, given me tools to apply at home, and encouraged me to figure out how to live my life as I continue to heal from my injury. He has been very practical about goals and has been very hands on, something I appreciate and did not see as much in other physical therapy services.

Had elbow pain where I couldnt lift anything for month. After just two weeks I can now fully operate and workout again. Ben helped me a lot and I can only recommend paying them a visit if you are looking for results

The lead PT there Ben Miers along with his staff are exceptional. I travelled up North to continue my physical therapy on my Achilles Tendonitis from excessive tennis playing during COVID. He and his staff listened well and provided me with excellent tools to help me stabilize my feet, ankle, and legs and treat my tendonitis with great professionalism. Also, Ben was a great conduit to help refer me to a foot & ankle physician and even reached out to my physical trainer to sync with them so I was assured a successful rehabilitation. Excellent work and I highly recommend!

I referred my self for physical therapy about 4 weeks about because of shoulder pain that had been worsening over the past 2 months. From the first call to the Athletico office, my experience has been wonderful. They made it easy to get an initial consultation within two days of my call. Since then I have had significant improvement. I would say that my pain is over 90% gone and I have improved the overall strength of the shoulder allowing me to do things more safely, including working out like I was not able to do prior to PT.I am a Physician Assistant, and Ben the Physical Therapist has taken a lot of time with me to review anatomy and explain to me the nuances of the exercises and why he is having me do them. I have really noticed a change in my every day life with my posture and how I am holding my shoulders.He and Alexis both have made the experience enjoyable and give amazing customer service! I would highly recommend this location.Also, as a side note the facility is always very clean, and they are abiding by Covid-19 distancing and sanitizing very strictly.

I was referred to Ben at Athletico by my doctor for treatment of hip pain caused by osteoarthritis. Ben has been excellent at listening to my description of the pain, educating me about the underlying anatomy, and working with me on exercises to address the problem. My arthritis hasnt gone away, but my pain level has decreased, and Im learning how to better live with it.

Ben and the entire Athletico team is very knowledgeable and committed to patient care, and they really helped me rehab my broken ankle over the course of 2-3 months!

I had a really great experience here with my recovery. I had been injured for about 2 months, and decided to come in for therapy. My Physical Therapist was excellent, and identified the problem and created a comprehensive plan that has helped me heal and be able to enjoy sports again. Definitely recommend.

I have had an amazing experience at the Athletico Physical Therapy of Ann Arbor. Ben, the Facility Manager, is very knowledgeable and truly understands the body basically layer by layer. He listens closely and works with you patiently. I have actually seen Ben for two different issues and he has been able to successfully bring my body back where I can workout 3 days a week again. The Office Coordinator Alexis, is always prompt to answer any questions you have and works with you to schedule you for any time that works best for you! I work long hours so I loved that they were open late! You can tell that Ben and Alexis work as a team to make sure you have the best experience possible! Highly recommend!

I was very pleased with the service that I was given at Athletico. The staff there was very professional. If you are looking for a physical therapist, I would highly recommend Ben at Athletico.I went to Athletico because of frozen shoulder. I could barely move one of my arms because of it. After a month or so of physical therapy, I have most of the movement back in my arm. I struggled for a while with this problem. I just wish that I would have went to Athletico sooner.

This is the physical therapy you’ve been looking for. I recently went to Athletico, and saw Ben for a shoulder and arm pain issue — it was a great experience from start to finish. I appreciated Ben’s in-depth and professional approach, his honesty and how he was always happy to answer any questions I had about my treatment. In the time of COVID-19, I was pleased/relieved to witness a consistent commitment to thorough safety and cleaning protocols by both Ben and Alexis during every visit.

Great facility! Very happy and impressed with the entire staff. Alexis, the receptionist, is super friendly and makes booking appointments stress-free and super easy. Ben, the physical therapist, is very knowledgeable and extremely proactive in your recovery. He really listens to your goals and concerns and makes it his main priority to get you where you want to go.I ended up tearing my shoulder due to a rock climbing accident this summer and was stuck in a sling for a few weeks. I was told by four different physical therapist (at various well-known hospitals) that I was going to need surgery and physical therapy was pointless until I did. I decided to try out one more therapist and it was the best decision Ive ever made. Its only been three months that Ive been training with Ben, however, ever single session I am able to make huge improvements. Its crazy that when we first started, I couldnt even carry a water bottle, and now, I am doing push-ups and pull-ups again! I am very happy with all my progress and am very optimistic that I will continue to see improvement. Highly recommend for all ages and all injuries.

After injuring my rib I went to Athletico for therapy. Ben and Alexis were more than warm and welcoming. Ben was well informed and always made sure you knew why and what you were doing to help relieve your pain. The facility is clean and bright. Highly recommend going to Athletico- Ann Arbor for any of your physical therapy needs.

The facility is very nice, clean, and convenient, but the real reason to go there is to work with Ben Miers to resolve your injury issue. I developed a number of issues after trying to run through a soft tissue injury which led me to being unable to do much without pain. Ben worked with me to correct the issues and strengthen the supporting muscles and structure to get me back on the roads.

Ben and his team at Athletico are doing a great job. As someone who has had a lot of experience with PT (5 previous orthopedic surgeries and subsequent recoveries), I can tell you they are taking a very proactive and positive approach to PT. They utilize a good blend of physical treatment (massage, etc.) and active exercise to promote both injury recovery and strengthening problem areas to avoid future injury. They have a clean, nice clinic and are doing great work. Id highly recommend them.

Definitely one of the best physical therapy locations I have been to. Ben, their manager, takes a very comprehensive view of the way the body functions and will tailor a program that not only targets your primary source of pain/dysfunction but also ensures the rest of your body is strengthened to prevent future injuries. He really listens to your input and works with you in a considerate and patient manner to maximize the programs effectiveness.

Ben is an amazing therapist. He has a deep understanding of how the body works and tailored a plan to suit my individual needs to obtain the desired outcome. Ben is a good PT that knows what he is doing and adjusts your workouts as you progress. When you get PT you will be spending a lot of one-on-one time with your PT, and Ben is a social person making you feel more welcome. Alexis is always responsive and prompt on scheduling and creates a welcoming environment. They have flexible times slots, which is helpful if your schedule changes often.

I have been seen by PT Ben. He is amazingly professional and knows exactly what to do when it comes to relieve pain and stress. I have been experiencing pain in my neck and lower back and been seen with several PTs. However, Ben is one of the best if not the best to diagnose the case and gives more exercises to help alleviating the pain. This place is highly recommended if you are looking for an excellent physical therapist who can guide you through what you feel and helps in pain relieving.

The experience that I have had here was nothing short of exceptional. I was being treated for achilles tendonitis in both legs, and my experiences with physical therapists in the past has generally been ok. Most places just throw a generic treatment plan at you, without really treating the person. Sometimes it feels like you get lost in the shuffle. For example, at a place in the past, I had a 74 year old lady doing the same exercises as me. For context, Im 21 years old, and have been extremely active in the past. That made me question if physical therapy was right for me. However, at this branch, the amount of time and dedication that they put in was phenomenal, and it changed my perception of physical therapy. The main therapist Ben, came up with a plan that looked at me from head to toe, not just my achilles. He looked at everything, and came up with a plan to treat not just my achilles, but also asymmetries that I had that were preventing me from moving the way I wanted to as an active 21 year old. The amount of knowledge that Ben possesses is something Ive never seen anywhere. It was incredible. He used a treatment plan that was specifically designed for me, so that I could get back to doing the things I love (basketball, tennis, etc.). By treating my asymmetries and my achilles, Ben not only helped alleviate my achilles pain, but he taught me how to move correctly, which is something that is not focused on at all in sports, especially from a young age. Learning how to move correctly also helps prevent future injuries, which is why its crucial to focus on. Ive never been to a place where the people there were so kind, and had so much knowledge about what they were doing. That really stuck with me, and I would encourage anyone that isnt sure about physical therapy to give this place a try. They cared so much about me that they traveled an hour and a half to Novi, in rush hour traffic, to be there for my achilles checkup with my doctor. This place was so worth it, and getting back to doing what I love wouldnt have been possible without them.
