Before I found Healing River, my experiences with massage had been variable. I knew what kind of therapist I was looking for, after one fantastic experience that healed my worsening shoulder pain, but Id been disappointed by my attempts to find someone in Ann Arbor. Nathan very kindly agreed to meet with me on short notice when I was suffering such bad ear/neck pain that I hadnt been able to sleep, and after our first session I was hooked. Most importantly for me, Nathan is *really good* at using deep pressure, whereas I sometimes find that other massage therapists have too light a touch. Im amazed at his skill in locating and fixing trouble spots, and he often finds places where I didnt even realize I was holding onto tension: he starts working on, say, an elbow, which triggers and releases recent twinges in the side of my neck. I never wouldve made the connection between neck pain and an elbow muscle, but he seems to instinctively know. What also surprises me is how many varied, interesting techniques he utilizes; I was expecting the same massage month to month, but it seems like every time we meet, he pulls a new trick out of his basket that Ive never experienced before, and its invariably brilliant at undoing a knot or a twinge that I didnt realize I had. I think the best testimonial I can give is that after two or three visits, my mild-but-chronic neck and lower back pain have been greatly relieved. On a personal level, Ive found his studio to be extremely comfortable and welcoming, with pleasant music and appealingly-scented oils. And Nathan is such a nice guy, very warm and funny and a great conversationalist, so I feel completely at ease during our sessions. Ive been recommending him to all my friends!

I had been in an accident I saw 5 massage therapists none helped me. I prayed and prayed I found this guy Nathan correll. With in 3 sessions in one week i actually could move my neck better then berfore the accident. One benefit was I had suffered migraines for 15 years. I have not had one since.
