A very terrible experience. I had just moved here from New Jersey and was in need of a new pain management doctor. I had my medical records sent to this surgical center and was scheduled a consultation with Doctor Peter Skaliy. I arrived at my appointment on time and it took about 40 minutes to fill out paperwork and a medical history questionnaire. As it turns out it was a total waste of time and money. The doctor basically showed me the door, treating me like I was some common drug addict. For the record I have debilitating back and neck pain for years that has been treated with surgery, epidurals, and YES those dirty words PAIN MEDICATIONS. I am not a drug abuser, just a person that is dependent on pain medication, THATS ONLY PART OF MY TREATMENT, in giving me an improved quality of life. I dont have a problem with DOCTOR PETER SKALIY refusing or being to scared to treat me. But he wasted my time. He should have reviewed my medical records and had one of his staff call me and cancel my appointment. Not only did he not do that, he had the nerve to boot me out the door and still charge me for the visit. I thank GOD that I was able to find a doctor who was not frightened to treat me. This doctor took the time to fully examine me and give me the appropriate treatment, which yes, included those nasty words, PAIN MEDICATIONS. Too bad DOCTOR PETER SKALIY, pre judged me and my condition and in my opinion violated his medical oath in regards to not treating a patient who was in need of medical care. But as I have learned in life, you cant tell doctors anything, because they know it all. Again, I thank GOD, I found a doctor down here in Georgia, that chose to treat me.
