I went looking for a new primary care physician. The front desk was very particular and wouldn’t accommodate anything. I came up with multiple alternatives to the paperwork they wanted which were all declined and she offered nothing, just staring at me waiting for me to get in line and comply. When it came time to check out I was “helped” from across the room without turning around. They had signs everywhere about things they wouldn’t do that were extra charges from filling out fmla forms to asking too many questions at your physical. Then when I met the doctor she made me nervous, offered no suggestions just waited for me to initiate every question or thought and when asked open ended questions gave non-answers. Overall the visit left me feeling overwhelmed, nervous, and like they wanted to do the bare minimum I asked for. The lab guy seemed nice but I didn’t interact with him much because the one test I needed done apparently isn’t even available at their facility. Needless to say it was a waste of my time and money. The place looked clean and comfortable.

Saw Dr Shukla for a pre-op exam and EKG. He explained everything. And saw something on the EKG and wanted me to see a cardiologist. The team was able to get me in the same day with Dr Veneziano. He explained in detail the area of concern on the results. Very pleased! The team was professional, pleasant and officiant. Thanks our the best.

My appointment was at 1:00pm, when I was on the phone with the call center lady asked me to make sure I come in 15-30 minutes in advance, otherwise I won’t be accepted. So I arrived 12:40 and office was just closed due the lunch. They didn’t open the door until 1;05, obviously my appointment was delayed.I understand that everyone need a brake but you have to respect your customer’s time.

I will no longer be going to this location again . I do think it’s my fault for even choosing to come to this location more than a year by seeing the patients that would be seen here. They were all mean and old. Furthermore Seeing Dr. C I felt as if she could careless what my issue was. Literally felt like I was wasting time telling her what was wrong and she made it seem like it wasn’t anything wrong with me. I decided to just let it be and move on. I don’t recommend this office for anyone younger than 60 ... the older patients seemed to be happy with the service ...

First of all, I must say that I have been seeing Dr. Cheekati for about maybe ten years or more. I have never had the problems that the Google reviewer wrote about regarding getting prescriptions called in. That must have been a terrible inconvenience. Please know that this office is run very professionally, and I highly recommend Dr. Cheekati. She is a very warm individual and really listens to what you have to say and strives to help in any way possible. I like that she takes into consideration what I want to do, what I want to take, all the while offering her advice as to what she thinks also. After all, that is why I am coming to see her, for her professional opinion. Please do not base your opinion on the review of one star as I do not feel as if that accurately reflects all of the kind, professional people who work at Emory at Avalon. As with all things, read all the reviews you can find and then check it out for yourself. I dont think you will be disappointed.

I like this location and still like my gp here. HOWEVER, they have been horrible at getting my perscription refills to my pharmacy.Becuase of this I am not completely out of several medications that are vital to my everyday health and wellbeing.Called them to get refills and told them i was completely out of my medication, the woman said she would mark it high priority, however one of them never got filled. Pharmacy has been calling for a week now requesting this refill.

If I could, i would not even give 1 star. I always thought that Emory provides excellence of care, but was deeply disappointed today. Called on Friday to schedule sick appointment, just to find out that they dont have any available appointments. I have frequent UTI problem and know that I will need antibiotic. Well, front dest lady told me to wait untill Monday. I asked her if she knows what UTI is and how painful it can be. Impatiently and rude she start telling that nurse will call me with instructions. I told her what instructions, it is Friday afternoon and pharmacy will be closed tommorow. So any way I could not listen her rudness anymore and finish the phone call. My advise not to go to that place if you looking for immediate help and dont want to encounter rude personnel.

MeShanna at the front desk is soooooo rude. When I walked up instead of saying Hi or how can I help...she just stares and says yes......with a big attitude.
