I had my wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Loetscher earlier this year and the level of care was the best I have ever seen in an outpatient facility.During the initial consultation, it was clear that Dr. Loetscher has a wealth of experience. He easily explained the status of my wisdom teeth and why it was urgent to remove them, as they were heavily impacted.The staff are affable, attentive, and very knowledgable. It was extremely reassuring to interact with such a capable staff after having poor consultation experiences elsewhere. I had substantially impacted wisdom teeth so I was a tad nervous, but Dr. Loetscher and his staff made it my surgery a very comfortable experience.After the procedure, Dr. Loetscher personally called to check on me and explain best practices for swift recovery. I lost six of my top front teeth 40+ years ago and have had a partial denture bridge since the initial tooth loss. Have been resistant to implants due to the expense and requirements for a bone graft. After researching various providers and options, I settled on Dr. Loetscher and his team due to their extensive expertise and track record. Dr. Loetscher and his team clearly explained the process,worked with my dentist to create a temporary partial that I can wear while I wait for the bone graft to heal and then performed the surgery ten days ago. I am beyond frustrated with this office. Every appointment I had waited a minimum of 15 minutes. One appointment I waited so long that I finally had to ask the front desk to reschedule me, because I couldn’t wait any longer. Yesterday I waited 25 minutes before I complained and walked out. I’ve had two of my appointments rescheduled because the doctor wanted to go out of town for the weekend. I was pretty annoyed to be told I had to reschedule getting a tooth pulled, because it meant my husband and I both had to ask for new days off and rearrange everything with our work. Then to be rescheduled a second time for the same thing really irritated me. The lack of respect for my time is awful. I think they did a great job with my tooth removal and putting in the implant, but I’m not finishing the process with them because I’ve had so much time wasted.

Dr. Loetscher and his team are phenomenal!! I had four wisdom teeth extracted and have put this off for over 30 years due to bad dental experiences that left me with a lot of anxiety. I have never felt more comfortable with a dental process and grateful for how comfortable they made me. I am a patient at Atlanta Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Dental Implant Center. I had a molar extracted and now I am scheduled for a dental implant. This process sounded pretty scary to me at the outset, but it has been a breeze. The staff is so professional and friendly - they use models to explain the whole process. The sedation is wonderful because you dont feel a thing. If you are putting this off, I am here to tell you come on in, the water is fine. Dr. Loetscher uses a large monitor to display xrays of ones teeth, so that the patient is well informed on what is happening. Great job, highly recommend.

I had to get an extraction and an implant, and was shocked at how comfortable I was from the minute I went back to x-ray. Dr Loetscher and his staff are awesome! They make you feel like you are family and only give you top notch treatment that is PAINLESS! I left a couple of hours later with an implant and temp tooth. I highly recommend this practice, and have promoted it on my own FB page already!! They rock!!

Dr. Loetscher and his staff are fantastic. They are straightforward with pricing, they educate their patients very well, and show that they genuinely care not only about the outcome, but also the comfort of the patient throughout the procedure and after.Due to a congenital condition, my lower second molars did not get replaced by permanent teeth. The baby teeth were beginning to fuse to the jaw. My dentist referred me to Dr. Loetscher to replace them with implants for second premolars (what should have replaced the teeth). Dr. Loetscher used state of the art technology to examine and measure the teeth to be removed and to determine the depth and spacing needed for the implants. Because of the shallow nature of the roots and the amount and health of the bone, Dr. Loetscher felt it would be possible to place the implants at the time of extraction. Due to unexplainable reasons the implant on the right failed within the first three weeks post-op (an extremely rare situation). Dr. Loetscher removed it and we allowed time for bone regeneration. I have since returned and had the implant replaced with no issues. I love that the in house lab creates custom abutments for the gums to mold around the eventual crown. This prevents my dentist from having to cut a flap of gum to expose the implant later down the road.One of the things I like the most is that Dr. Loetscher personally calls each of his patients the evening after their surgery to check on them. Another thing I really appreciated was the fact that he numbed the area for long enough that it is unlikely that any narcotic pain meds would be needed. While a few Percocet pills were prescribed, I did not need a single one. Ibuprofen/Motrin did the trick.Dr. Loetscher warranties all his work, so the replacement procedure was done free of charge. His staff of nurses, assistants, and technicians are incredible, especially Casey, Mary, and Yeny!

We had several questions, and all were answered patiently and cheerfully. We went for my sons wisdom teeth removal, and I love that Dr. Loetscher uses full anesthesia for the procedure, which calmed my sons nerves, and also made him less loopy afterwards. There were several staff present during the procedure, and I felt very comfortable leaving him in their hands. After the short procedure I was brought back and we were given very detailed instructions for care and follow up, as well as a text message number for questions, if we had concerns after hours. My son recovered quickly and without complications. if we could give them 6 stars we would!

I have nothing by great things to say about Dr. Loetscher and his team. I was sooo nervous about getting my wisdom teeth removed for years. I am a hygienist so I have heard so many stories about getting wisdom teeth removed as an adult from my patients, family, and friends. I can confidently say it’s been 24 hours since my extractions and it does not feel like I was in a dental chair yesterday.I was numb from the time I left the office (around 9:30 am) yesterday to the time I went to bed ( around 11 pm). Dr. Loetscher made sure I was comfortable by sending me home with all the necessary pain medications and antibiotics. I only used the pain medicine yesterday because I thought I would need it once the numbness wore off. Although he was heading out of town, he made a way to call and check on me later in the day.I can definitely say I will tell my patients and the world about the superb experience I had. I may be needing him the future for a not so pretty procedure, but at least I know I am in diligent hands.

Dr. Christian Loetscher is simply an amazing oral surgeon, he truly have what I call gifted hands. He has done bone graft and several implants on me. While I am always expecting to have pain after such procedures I can honestly say that I have never had to take any pain meds afterwards even though pain meds are prescribed I never use them.The only discomfort that I have experience is in the neck region after intubation; which is expected due to having a tube down my throat but the next day it feels much better. I love that Dr. Loetscher is alway educating himself on the newest techniques and technology his office use the state of the art technology. I had my wisdom teeth removed at Dr. Loetscher’s office and had a great experience! All members of his staff were helpful and kind, and they made me feel comfortable and in very good hands before my surgery. They offered me laughing gas to calm my nerves, and they answered all of my questions about the procedure in great detail! Afterwards, the nurse (I believe her name was Sammy) who helped me out of the operating room and into the waiting area treated me so kindly you would’ve thought we were family! I was very loopy coming out of the general anesthesia and she made me very comfortable and helped me with anything I needed. She explained everything about my recovery and what I needed to do very clearly (once my mom joined us, of course) and I got a little gift bag with very clear instructions. Dr. Loetscher came to see me before my mom drove me home, and afterwards he called her to make sure I was doing well. Overall, Dr. Loetscher and his staff made the experience as easy and painless as possible! I would recommend him to any of my friends and family.

Dr Loetscher removed my wisdom teeth (all four) on a Friday and I was back to work on Monday.

I had all four of my wisdom teeth taken out this morning and Atlanta oral made sure the process was as smooth, comfortable and relaxing as possible. Dr. Loetscher did a fantastic job and was in and out in forty minutes. Additionally, my incredible nurse, Mary, made my time waiting on the doctor much more enjoyable and managed to calm my nerves. I don’t know if there is a person alive more afraid of the dentist than I am. However, this was the best experience ever! The office staff is all professional but friendly and really put you at ease. Everything is explained even the fininacial portion. Dr Loetscher is amazing. He’s brilliant at what he does and also I felt no pain! Even his IV was painless I would highly recommend this office if you ever need an oral surgeon or dental implants! I will be back! If you are looking for the cheapest then this isn’t the place but if you are looking for the best, then here it is 😀
