I was very pleased with my dentist. She is very good and I requested my crown to be ready in 2 wks and she made it happen. The crown looks really good. My dentist is accommodating , professional and really good at what she does. Also my male hygienist is very good too as well as the ladies in the front desk. Grateful that I changed to this dental office.

It was HORRIBLE! Gagging on the water she left running down my throat for 10 minutes! Digging and scraping to the point of bleeding gums and my entire mouth is in pain! I am 18 and never had anything g like this at the dentist before! Beware!! She had both hands in my mouth trying to figure out how to clean around my permanent retainer! And broke a tip off of my retainer as well.

The one and only doctor here is not friendly nor has bedside manner and they are not conscious of the wait time. I was just having a follow up routine visit after a crown and waiting took over an hour, the actual time with the dentist was less than 5 minutes...

I was moved to this office when another Great Expressions closed. The staff , while nice, continued to have issues with my account due to problems with my insurance. It was not until Chanda Oglesby arrived that my level of confidence, trust and professionalism went up. She came in and was the sole person who spoke with me, conversed through emails, got to the root of the problem and FIXED it. It is because of her that I returned back to the office because now I am one happy customer. I appreciated the Dr and staff, before, but my account issues were unbearable. THANK YOU CHANDA for all of your hard work, dedication to fixing my account and the TRUE FIVE STAR customer service that youve shown to me. Ill never forget it. Ill see your office soon!

The whole staff is amazing especially Shonda. Dr . Harandi is my dentist for life. I hope her assistant Earl never leaves . He is the best ! I highly recommend this office. I had neglected my teeth for years and the Dr. didn’t make me feel bad . She just came up with a two year plan and helped me restore my smile! Also they have really nice cleaning people to clean teeth! Also if you don’t have insurance they have a great plan and help make it very affordable! Love this place!

I had crown installed by Dr. Harindi: had a lot of complications and a lot of damage done. And it still hurts - Ill need to have it redone elsewhere. It took months of redoing and weeks of depression. Even though I complained about pain and smell doctor proceeded with permanent crown installation. It was my first crown so I didnt know better. After a month or so it was decided that gum surgery is needed and crown lengthening. Surgery was done on Friday, and apparently doctor didnt communicate well to assistant that bandage is needed, so my gum started bleeding on Saturday (cement holding temporary crown carved into the wound) , I couldnt find emergency help so I had to wait till Monday morning to get it fixed with masses of dry blood behind the cheek - it would start bleeding again whenever I tried to rinse). I didnt realize the scale of the surgery, so I was shocked when they cut so much. Doctor acts quick and careless: tearing corner of mouth and lips, damaging gum, doesnt trust the patient - my gum remained inflamed and I was flossing and cleaning my teeth five times a day and she didnt believe and blamed me that I dont floss, so she did nothing about inflamed gum - just glued another crown. This tooth still hurts.I had also cleaning done here twice and it was good - stars for that

I moved to Alpharetta from PA recently and have taken my entire family to Dr. Lyda Harandi. Dr. Harandi shows the utmost care in work. She has given me two crowns, has also did the same for my young daughter. Her office manager Chonda is simply amazing in making you feel welcome and most accommodating, she returns calls promptly and ensures you have the scheduled date you need to get you into see Dr. Harandi. Chonda is so friendly and takes the time to get to know you and your family. And, the practice is affordable providing top quality dental service.

I was there for over an hour and a half turning down braces, snore guards, and everything else they could try and sell me, waiting between each sales pitch. After an hour and a half I was told it would be another hour wait to get the cleaning that I came in for.

Only exist as a dentistry to try to convince you to get Invisalign. Will charge hidden infection control fees to get a simple cleaning. Although required in order to get a cleaning, it is not a part of the cleaning, so no insurance would cover it. A company with a couple brain cells would increase their cleaning price to account for increased COVID requirements, but this is not that kind of company.

Dr. Harrandi and staff are always welcoming and do a good job. Used their services for years and was never disappointed once. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an elite dental team.

I would give zero stars if I could. The staff in difficult and incompetent. The goal of the hygienists is to make money for the office. My hygienist wanted to treat infections and gum issues I did not have before. The additional treatment isnt covered by insurance. The price was expensive.

I’ve been very frustrated with this dental office for quite some time. Not sure why I kept going back. Maybe because it’s so close to my house.Over the last couple of years that I’ve been going, they often make me wait at least 15-30 minutes past my appointment time. Even if I am one of the first appointments. One time I actually had to reschedule my appointment because they made me wait so long.I went in early Oct this year because I had an infection in my gum. The receptionist and dental hygienist were friendly, but I didn’t feel that the office was clean or well run. The dentist was nice enough but I could tell she was very rushed. She came in and said that I needed a root canal and gave me little information or details. After doing the root canal, she said to come back in 2-3 weeks to finish the root canal but when I went up to schedule at the front desk, they scheduled me at 4 weeks out even though I told them the Dentist said 2-3 weeks and they said “it will be fine”. Well it wasn’t fine, During that first couple of weeks my gum continued to be infected and I called the office and sat on hold for 10 minutes two different times and then the following day they were mysteriously closed so I had to go to another office for emergency dental care.When I finally got back in to see the Dentist, she basically dismissed my concerns. Then she told me that I would need to see an oral surgeon to have a gum graft so she scheduled me with the oral surgeon that comes to their clinic. I waited 3 weeks for my appt (asked off work and made child care arrangements) At that appt he told me that I needed to see a periodontist for this matter. So now I have to wait another month to be seen for a consult and who knows how long to actually get the procedure done.Basically, I know the dentist has a lot of training and experience and the hygienists are friendly, but the management and the way this office is run is not good at all. I also feel like they don’t give you any information without probing and asking questions.

This has been the worst and most unknowledgeable staff Ive ever worked with. I tried to make an appointment for my son (who has braces) for a cleaning - since Sept 2020. One thing after another.....they have to move it, they dont have a hygienist available, they dont have a dentist on site. They had my information on file from September. On the appointment set for December, they cancelled it because another hygienist had quit. It was becoming clear to me that this same person was (1) lying (2) didnt know how to schedule or (3) the turnover was constant. They needed to set the appointment on Jan 6. Low and behold the phone rings 2 hours before the appointment. Its the same person again, from the receptionist who believes she is the manager of the entire location. Her words told me everything...we dont accept your insurance. They had managed to postpone the appointment until after the policy change. I was furious. I told her that they had done this so many times I had enough. Let me speak to the manager. Thats when she told me she was the manager as well as the receptionist. She started her speech of: we have a policy where you can get your first cleaning for $39.00 if you join OUR program. Oh how lucky am I. I had no choice. My son had already had the wire removed so I sent him over. The hygienist had taken Xrays and told my son he would need a special toothpaste and rinse because an oncoming of gingivitis (well that happens when you cant get your teeth cleaned for 4 months) was obvious. Then the dentist walks in and informs the hygienist to stop immediately because our insurance is not accepted. I contacted the office and now I had had enough. What happened to the $39.00? Well, weve already done the examination and we see gingivitis. So since we did the xrays and evaluated it - you now owe us $225.00. ARE YOU SERIOUS????? I contact my son to go to the front and get a manager. He tried to talk to the receptionist/manager and she was trying to collect money - before she began to tell my son to leave the office. I asked my son to hand over the phone to her. The receptionist/manager stated she would not talk to me because I was yelling. (Thats what happens after you lie to a customer for 4 months). I contacted the regional office who apologized and stated they would deal with it. The next thing I know Im getting a phone call from the Gainesville office. Based on their knowledge and ability to work with us I decided it was better to DRIVE 1 hour than to deal with the idiots in the Alpharetta office. I am in process of contacting as many review sites as possible. What an arrogant group of people,

Today was my first time visiting this location and I had a great experience. Not only did they stay on track of their time but also did an amazing job on my regular cleaning and had a great consultation to potentially get veneers. It was nice getting your teeth clean and actually being able to relax. The hygienist was gentle on my sensitive teeth yet got them sparkly white and beautiful. They were never pushy as far as getting additional treatments or services and that was something that had an issue with at the previous place I was going to. Thank you for the wonderful costumer service from everyone!

BEWARE!!! IT’s ALL ABOUT THE MONEY AS PEOPLE MENTIONED! If I could give NO STARS, I would. Went initially for a broker tooth, they said they had to refer me, but in the meantime I needed a $400 deep cleaning. Got deep cleaning and ended up having an infection, which they gave me antibiotics. Took a whole week to get referral. Got appointment with referral doctor who said I would need to have teeth pulled and build a bridge but needed to do it another day. Made another appointment and had to miss work and waited for 2 hours to be told work could not be done. My wife saw the dentist outside taking a break and checking messages. I hope they don’t bill me for NO SERVICES RENDERED!! Bad service and a waste of time.

I have been a patient of this dentist since relocating to the area in 2016. Dr. Harandi is an outstanding dentist. She and her staff are always so friendly. She put on 12 veneers for me last year, and they look terrific! I can’t give a higher recommendation.

Everyone in this office was absolutely fantastic. I had to have a temporary cap fitted in one visit and a deep cleaning the following week or so. Both the dentist and hygienist made sure I staid comfortable and did a wonderful job. They will also work with you regarding any billing issues or difficulties if any. I would definitely recommend the crew at Great Expressions McGinnis Ferry to anyone looking for a dental office that cares about their patients.

Earlier experiences were good but this time I was shown a different amount at the time of service $30 and was convinced to buy additional service as I had balance remaining of $30 so effectively I was not paying anything but at the reception I was asked to pay a different amount of $80. I was told that the extra amount will be waived. Will have to wait till next visit to see if the bill is settled properly.

This office is fantastic! Very professional, used all my insurance benefit to my advantage so i didn’t lose a penny. Have been putting off some much needed dental work, but this office is getting it done and taking care of me at the same time. I’m so glad i found them!

Be careful of their billing practices. I have been trying to reach them for charges for which I never received a product, and they have been giving me the run around. I have already received Final Notice and also a forward to collections notice, and I mentioned to the lady at the counter that I am up against a collections deadline. I have been trying to resolve this for the last 3 weeks, but a simple issue like this is taking forever for them resolve. I am documenting this today, just so if there is a blemish on my credit report then it will be because of an error on their part. I dont appreciate being treated like this.

The customer service in this place was Amazing! The front desk and the dentist did a great job. However my Dental Hygienist was fantastic! She was very thorough and did an amazing job.

Here is the big issue for me. After making a full payment of my Invoice I get another Invoice straight from the collector company stating you owe this much amount of money.Not sure why they send immediately to the collection company and Why do receive additional invoice after making full payment of my portion. Be carefully on that part.

This is an awful dentist office. I experienced very poor service in Oct, 2017. The billing of service is all poor service. I had to contact my insurance provider to request for claim to be filed even though I was in network. My insurance provider paid for the service and I requested a refund due to paying for services upfront. I just received a final bill today for the services and my insurance company have already paid for these services. I also have contacted the office trying to get billing issue solve and having a difficult time. My balance should’ve zero. I will not refer anyone to this office.

Made an appointment and one month later a few days before my appointment I was called by Paula to let me know the doctor wouldnt be available and they didnt take my insurance. How unprofessional is this? Two days before my appointment? I waited a whole month to get my teeth clean and then Paula went all the way left. She was very disrespectful when I voiced my concern with her about the professionalism of their staff when I asked why would they book my appointment when they knew they didnt take my insurance she said nothing. When I asked her why wouldnt the doctor be in on a Monday she replied because her son has cancer and hung up the phone.Or course I care if her son is ill Im not an insensitive person however the least she couldnt said was that the doctor has a family emergency and she would do everything in her power to make sure that I still get my cleaning. She did none of the sort I called corporate and all I got was an apology. not one from rude Paula just from corporate. Not a free cleaning at any location I choose, just nothing. I would never recommend someone going to this office or even with this company. They truly dont care about their customers just read the other reviews.

This is the best experience Ive had so far a dentist office in a VERY long time (including other Great Expression offices). Dr. Harandi is the best! I am very pleased with the level of service I have received since meeting her on Day 1. Her staff is kind and personable. Would definitely recommend.

If you look for smart and intelligent personnel, do not come here. Weve had tons of issues with this office over the course of a year and a half. If you try to resolve something over the phone it will be impossible, mistakes all the time. They forget something they promise you the would do all the time. They will gladly try to rip you off and tell you how bad your condition is. My wife had a perfect teeth and they still convinced her to get invisilign which I wish she had not agree to. Its been a mess. One day I came with an emergency and the office was just closed during the week. Just a closed door. Personnel is not gentle when they work on you and also the doctor is angry/in bad mood majority of the time with fake standard phrases of welcoming you. I could see the personnel didnt like working there because of an angry lady doctor. Do not waste your time coming here, better look for a place you will like. Equipment they use here is also super old.

I love Dr Harindi and the staff at Great Expressions. I began my Invisalign Journey close to a year ago and I cannot begin to describe how well taken care of I am. They are so nice , professional , courteous , extremely knowledgeable and very personable. I always leave feeling satisfied with no questions. To echo what other reviewers are saying, I went there for a routine cleaning and was told that before I can receive a routine cleaning, I need a $100 deep cleaning because my teeth are in such terrible shape. I was then told that I should consider Invisalign and that I need extensive dental work, including fixing a cracked tooth to the tune of $600.I went to another dentist shortly thereafter, who assured me the tooth is not cracked and that anyone who went to dental school should easily be able to see that. This dentist also assured me that my teeth were in fine shape, except for a cavity.This place is clearly a money grab that pressures you to book services you do not need by negatively exaggerating the condition of your teeth. They prey on customers lack of knowledge and try to scare you into overspending.

Been a patient at this office for about eight or nine years and have never thought about going anywhere else. From cleanings to crowns to teeth whitening, have always been happy with the quality of work. Staff has also always been very friendly, despite it changing from time to time over the years. Today I went in for my Invisalign checkup and I was disappointed because my teeth were not aligning correctly. They quickly suggested additional trays and completed the molding in less than an hour.

Unprofessional and ripped off. Don’t ever go here! They care nothing about you, only your money. I wish I could have given no stars. I can’t wait to see them in court.

Please do not visit this location. I had an extremely poor experience in December, and I said I would never go back. I waited 45 minutes to be called back for my appointment. The dentist was very uninterested, and after waiting 30 minutes for her to come and examine my teeth, she came in on her cell phone. They also tried to sell me unnecessary procedures.Because it was the easiest thing to do, I convinced myself to go back for a filling that I needed. I thought they might have had an off day. That is not the case. I waited 45 minutes to be called back...again. Once back, I waited another 20 minutes, and then I noticed the tools they had laid out for my filling were rusty and appeared to be very old. After leaving, I realize now that I should have snapped a picture. I decided then that I could not go through with the filling. The hygienist that brought me back to my room was no where to be found, so I simply walked to the front desk. I told them I had waited for over an hour and I would have this procedure done elsewhere. No one apologized. The receptionist simple said Okay.I will never visit another Great Expressions. It was a pretty awful experience.

Havent been to a dentist in years and I just so happen to walk into this establishment to find multiple smiles looking my way asking me do I need help with anything. They treated me with care and always look for my best entrace. Im glad I came here and I recommend them to anyone.

The Customer service rep was very irresponsible. She was very rude on the phone. They put me on hold for a number of times and they say that they are busy with the patients. Everyone is busy with work too and no one will be calling them for fun. Also, as the earlier reviews mentioned, they do this Deep Cleaning on which I Paid 550$ (Out of pocket) in Dec 2015 and 290$ (Out of my own pocket) in Aug 2016, even after having one of the best insurance plans.This is one of the worst practices and I would never ever go back to them.

I have been going to Great Expressions, the Alpharetta location, for a few years now and they have cured my fear of the dentist. I had bad dental experiences growing up and didn’t go to the dentist on my early adulthood, when I finally had the courage to go I’m glad I chose great expressions on Alpharetta. When I called and let them know I had not been to the dentist in a while and was having some issues they were able to get me a quick appointment. I had a few procedures done in one day and the staff made me very comfortable, I didn’t have pain, the staff were all nice and non judgmental and help erase my fear of the dentist. Then I began an Invisalign program and continued regular appointments and have seen an improvement and so happy to smile in pictures and I never am scared to go to the dentist now! They literally gave me my smile back and I always have a great experience. They really care and always give me good advice on tips to do at home. I have a dentist now and it’s great!

My today’s visit was for teeth cleaning and further review of Invisalign treatment which I am undergoing since past one year. I was attended by Dental hygeniest Ms Lynn. She was very friendly and professional. At the same time her way of teeth cleaning is such I was not able to realize when it was over without any pain. Probably because she educate the patient and keeps them engaged during whole process. I would highly recommend her to anyone and specifically to those who are nervous to get the teeth cleaned. Dr Lydia Harandi looked to my invisalign progress and she was happy with it just like I am. Wish I would have got it done earlier.

I was nervous about going to this Great Expressions location because I had a bad at a different location. Previously, I was told I had periodontal disease and was given an OUTRAGEOUS treatment plan over $1k. I knew this couldn’t be right so I did not have any work done and searched for another dentist covered under my insurance.I then found the Alpharetta Great Expressions location. Previous reviews shared the helpfulness and great care provided by the staff. I must say I agree. Sheriese, the dental hygienist was very knowledgeable, gentle, and informative. She reassured me that the treatment plan developed at this practice would be much different than what I had been told at a different location. The dentist, Dr. Harandi was very friendly and professional. I inquired about Invisalign and how it could enhance my smile.Overall, I was pleased with the front office staff, Sheriese, the dental hygienist, and the Dentist. I am glad that I found this location and I will receive all my dental care in the future at this location. I highly recommend this office.

Great personal, caring service

The McGinnis Ferry office has disappointed me many times. I have had multiple crows done. Many of the temp crowns fell off quick which required me to come in another day. Some friends told me what they paid out of pocket and mine is 2 to 3 times more. If you have extensive dental needs then plan on being there for 4 hours. One dentist working. I see gloves being changed but never hear any water runnimg to wash hands. I am trapped there until they get my work done which should be another 2 visits but will take 2 mtgs because there is never a spot open to book. I like the dentist but overbooking people is not right and just when I thought I was almost done then suddenly I needed 2 more crowns and a veneer. I am not made of money and taking all this time off work is not helping me to make money to pay the bills. I had a bad day with them today bur it was more about the newer receptionist. She should have owned up to her mistake. She didnt and the people in the lobby heard how pissed off I was this morning.

Dr. Harandi is very pleaseant to work with, she always explains the teeth condition and the procedures she recomemds. I have been going to this location last 3 years and i am happy with the service.

The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and they offer Great customer service to their patients/customers.

Called in the morning due to severe pain and was given same day appointment. Pain was managed and follow up appointment setup. Every step of the process was explained and I was kept engaged.

Don’t even want to give it a star. More like a -5. Great expressions as a whole is horrible. Started my Invisalign care here and wish I hadn’t. Communication is horrible. Service is horrible. Waiting time is horrible (especially when you’re the only one in the waiting room) and the fact that I had to transfer to another location that is further for me and turns out they didn’t even have my last tray. Wow.

Please read all of the reviews, this is the worst dentist that I have been to in decades! It is the first time that I have paid out of pocket, with dental insurance, for my free dental cleanings. They would not clean my teeth until I had a deep cleaning. They already took my x-rays, so I was stuck continuing the process with them. The next day, yes, another day at the dentist wasting my time. They did the deep cleaning. If they would have told they were doing periodontal cleaning I would have refused! Ive been going to the dentist for too long. Then came the bill, of course out of pocket. I would never recommend this business to anyone and will tell everyone to stay away from this business. It is nothing but a scam. Everyone should turn them into the BBB and the American Dental Association. I would give a ZERO star if possible.

Excellent, knowledgeable staff. I travel from my home in Sandy Springs to visit this Mcginnis Ferry location passing up several other locations.

Dr. Harandi and all the associates that work at Great Exptessions in Alpharetta at 5220 McGinnis Ferry Rd have been wonderful.I recently became a new patient and I have been well taken care of.Dr. Harandi is very kind and is extremely efficient at dentistry. I highly recommend this office.

Went here years ago, they told me I had gum disease (everyone does btw) and wanted to do about $300 worth of treatments, and acted as if my life was in danger due to this disease. They were very selective of their wording when questioned further. Refused to clean my teeth. Went back to my regular dentist, he maintained that I was indeed NOT due for planing and scaling. Never again.. This was the second time in Alpharetta on the Dentist upsell.

After a very long time this was a Great expression location i was very satified to go to. The hygienist “Sherrise “ was exceptionally good. Usually most location the hygienist would be done in no time i would know i m an not happy but never say but this hygienist did everything like she knew what she was doing, was very thorough. Even the doctor harandi was great not out to get u to do some new procedure in ur mouth. I could feel the difference. Great expression needs to have more like them.Shashi

I went to Dr Harandi after lifetime of extensive dental works done in due to bad genetics. So I was pleasantly surprised that her techniques were far superior than the dentists I used in Houston who replaced all my old silver fillings and crowns from Asia. I also dreaded the three root canals I had to do with Dr Harandi which turned out to be easy, painless, 3-short-visits each as compared to Dunwoody dentist. I definitely will stay with Dr Harandi to maintain my precious teeth healthy and clean.

So, I’ve been a patient of Dr Harandi’s practice for nearly a year. I came in with a terrible fear of dentists from bad past experiences that left my mouth in a bad state. The doctor has been very patient, answering all kinds of questions, and has helped tackle all kinds of problems. My company’s insurace changed at the end of 2017 and I was concerned that I’d have to find another dentist, but the Great Expressions affiliation has allowed her to remain my in-network provider.Recently, I had to undergo a pair of root canals and crown fittings because of serious decay. These are never easy procedures, and they required alot of work. Doctor Harandi gave the anestesia enough time to numb the area, and worked efficiently and professionally performing the task(s) at hand, even stopping mid- way if I showed any signs of discomfort. I was amazed at the results. Many thanks! Highly reccomended!

I found Dr.Harandi and her staff through my Aetna Navigator, and am I so happy I did! My first appointment was back in October. I thought I was going to lose my tooth do to a abscess on a old crown from when I was 10. I am 46 now. This tooth was done in a very uncommon way apparently and fortunately for me Dr.Harandi was able to save it! I am now in the process of getting my permanent crown, I have had my root canal done and a temporary crown. In betweenI I have started getting my cleanings.I’m going to tell you I am one of those people that hate going to the dentist, I literally have to be dragged by the hand like a little kid and if you tell me something I don’t want to hear. I don’t go back..lol..Dr.Harandi was very caring and talked to me in a way I felt comfortable. From her front office staff, to the hygienist to the dental assistants everyone is very nice, professional and goes out of their way to make you comfortable. I have definitely found a dentist office I will stay with. I highly recommend them! Amy Rios
