Dennis Mendelton ? was my counselor, he was amazing and I wish I could find someone just like him.I miss you and I honestly don’t know how to go on. I felt an instant connection to him.

The staff is very friendly. Coming here has been a life changing experience. Seeing Dennis is probably one of the best things Ive done for myself. Ive recommended Port Health to all of my friends looking into therapy and Ill continue to do so.

The lady at the front desk is extremely rude. I’ve called in the past as well as today expressing concern or looking for solutions for scheduling appointments or insurance issues and she was absolutely no help and had no concern for the fact that I was at risk of running out of my medication which I am dependent on. She has spoken to me each time with a tone and attitude that made me feel like nothing more than a burden to the point where I dread having to call them for anything and when I do I always have this exact experience. My therapist here is great, but as the receptionist she is the first line of contact for patients and beginning every experience with this type of interaction truly ruins the entire experience. Mental health is something so many people already struggle to seek treatment for and when you finally do and are welcomed with nothing but negativity it really makes it hard to keep coming back.

Don’t recommend coming here. As a medical facility that requires you to wear a mask but doesn’t have any available for patients and won’t let you in the building, I would find somewhere else to go. Plus the poor excuses of staff at the front desk weren’t wearing any masks. The place is absolute garbage and unprofessional.

One of the worst mental health places I’ve ever gone to. Front desk lady is rude and could careless about helping anyone. The nurse has never once picked up the phone (no exaggeration here) Including when i had extremely important questions about my medicine. I had talked to the coordinator about this issue and nothing was done. I recently called to ask them to switch me back over to my sleeping medication because I hadn’t slept for days and was told by the receptionist they absolutely cannot do that and that i have to wait until I have an appointment. She didn’t even try to help me In this situation and told me to wait for the nurse to call me. Obviously this was extremely frustrating so i had to contact another provider to prescribe me the medication. I had called Port Health at 9:00 am that morning which they stop calling people back at 4:00 pm and at 3:57 pm the nurse decided to finally take one minute of her day to give me a call back saying I was approved for my sleep medication.(shout out to the receptionist that has no idea what she’s talking about) Other mental health places get concerned when you don’t go/miss an appointment and will reach out but not Port Health! The lack of empathy and just overall health of their patients is appalling.

I have been with Port Human services for over a year and a half and my life would not have turned around without them. I use their substance abuse program and therapy. You have to be open to get better wheaterr is substance abuse or mental health issues or both. This is the best place in town and as long as youre honest with them it work well with you and even when you make mistakes they still work well with you. I couldnt make it without my support group

I had to leave a review because all these negative ones really upset me. I just switched here from another place because I couldnt keep paying 400$ a month to see the Doctor and they didnt accept any insurance. Everyone one Ive talked to or met has went out of their way to help me. I been to several places. And port health defiantly has been the fastest getting back to me. Treating me respectfully and actually caring about my recovery not how much money they can make. So I dont see how if this has been my experience so far how some of these reviews are true.

The doctor is so rude and demeaning. Went to one appointment and I’ll never go back. I went for mental health and ended up being accused that I was an alcoholic. I understand that is a place to seek help for people with a substance abuse issue, however, that’s not the case for everyone.

Left this place about 2 months ago which was the best decision I ever made! The Dr is very rude, cold, uncaring and just writes your script then sends you on your way while nearly rolling her eyes the entire time. She cancels appointments last minute leaving you without medication like I said she is very uncaring and unprofessional. I realize she isnt making much $ from this place however that is no excuse to treat her patients like scum. She talks to you as if youre a low life which is such an uncomfortable feeling she always assumes youve relapsed even when you pass all yours screenings she talks to you in such an accusatory tone then demands you to take a drug test again. Ive been transferred for nearly 2 months now and she still hasnt sent over my records she truly does not give a single care in the world about the people seeking treatment. If you are looking for TREATMENT with addiction I would not recommend this place. Everyone else who works here is fantastic so its a shame that the once person in power, the doctor, is so awful
