The protocol is to visit is very good. I had been to three other assisted living facilities before Via Christi today, and your facility and entry protocol were far superior to the others.

Very nice place! My mom loves it! She says they spoil her! Its a great feeling when your loved one is being very well taken care of! I highly recommend this place!

So far, we have been happy with the care received by my husband at Via Christi Village Ridge. The staff seem to really care about the residents and are well informed about each person and what is going on with them. Everyone we have had any experience with has been very nice and pleasant.

Everyone was great in helping me, to see my mother. I had 4 people helping me, not all at the same time. Very good employees!!!!

Very good staffing, nurses there on top of care and procedures! Have no complaints while my wife was there temporarily.

I will always be grateful to your wonderful staff who cared for my friend during her last year of life. She required much care and was not the best patient. Nurses are very kind and are helpful and cheerful with patients and visitors. The home is clean and welcoming. The entire staff has been great. So thankful to Via Christi Village -Ridge for caring for my husband!

One year ago, this month, I was admitted following knee revision surgery. I was a patient for six weeks and received excellent care. The nurses aides were caring and responsive whenever I needed help. The Physical Therapists and Occupational Therapist were very professional and were a joy to work with. I appreciated their help to the point that I requested to be sent back three weeks later after my new knee was in place. I spent another 4-5 weeks learning to use the new knee as an out-patient and was so pleased to be able to be back among Therapy friends! Ill never forget my experience at Ascension Living Via Christi Village and the folks in their Skilled Nursing Center.

The Nursing Staff is excellent at managing all the details of my Dad’s care with kindness in a joyful atmosphere.Even with managing the covid challenges on top of all the needs of their residents, they are providing excellent care.

Staff always has a smile and a friendly greeting, and very helpful with questions, facility is very clean.

My aunt signed herself out of this facility today, after being admitted Tuesday for rehabilitation, they forgot her meds at the hospital.....after a hip replacement. They would not answer her call lights. staff was very rude to her, just ignorance. She said they drug her from the chair to the bed with out allowing her to brace herself like a rag doll! This place needs to be under investigation for the neglect of the patients who pay good money to be in the facility

I continue to appreciate the safety precautions and level of care at the facility.

I have seen true compassion out of the caregivers here and am humbled by their work. There is a reason they haven’t had a citation for patient care in over 4 years and had back to back perfect infection prevention surveys. The caregivers that work here walk the walk everyday. There is a culture of process improvement and quality of care. The staffing ratios are miles beyond all other skilled nursing facilities and documented by regulating agencies, therapy is provided 7 days a week based on what patient insurance allows for, call light response time consistently averages at 4 minutes or less and is audited routinely, they employ multiple infection preventionists, physicians on-site 5-7 days a week versus other skilled nursing facilities with only a handful of hours 2-3 times a week, on-site specialist visits, 2 registered dietitians onsite, Chaplin onsite, coordination of care with priest and more. They were named to US News and World Reports best nursing homes in America because of their quality of care. There is a true dedication to serve the vulnerable and their families during some of the most challenging and stressful times.

Very clean, welcoming facility

The staff of Via Christi Village is clearly passionate about patient care and family support. The support they exhibit through the healing process shows that they are committed to a successful outcome for when the patient can return home. The facility is beautiful. It includes a full church with cathedral ceilings and stained glass. A very peaceful setting to recover in with a dedicated staff providing care.

Absolutely horrible communication with patients and their family! Had a case meeting where things were promised/agreed upon only to find out less than 24 hours later Via Christi village staff did not submit needed paperwork to insurance. Horrible experience for my dad and our family. Would not recommend anyone sending their loved ones here!

Great place.

My Granny was here for the last several months of her life, first in the skilled rehab, then transitioned into long term care. My granny suffered from a severe form of dementia that caused her to cry hysterically for hours a day. The staff here cared for my gran with patience and love. I couldnt have asked for more, and overall just the peace of mind of knowing she was being taken care of. In her last days her nurses showed her so much love and compassion until she passed on into the next life. Thank you all, especially the staff on B2!

My grandmother is at Via Christi Village-Ridge and she is thriving! The community she was in before, we were unaware of how the environment was negatively affecting her. She is much more alert and happy and willing to attend ALL the activities offered. The activities offered are AMAZING. The food is top notch...food is important! They are well equipped to take on their residents. The staff are friendly and kind and my grandmother enjoys all of them. I am happy for my grandma to call this place home. The therapy department is also phenomenal. All departments truly care about the patients/residents and their well-being. If we ever have had concerns they are addressed immediately and resolved. I would recommend Via Christi Village Ridge to anyone!

I was here before in November and had some good experiences and some not so good. I am here again and have had only good experiences.... great food and kind and courteous staff. I see an ernest and unified to give the very best compassionate Care.

Nice and helpful.

Excellent care. My mother has been there since November 2016. She loves it, great communication, always a phone call when something has changed. Always meetings with family for making sure there are no problems, they work great with the patient and the family so that all is happy. She gets her hair and nails done, plays bingo, listens to outside music that comes in and participates in all activities. They also take them on bus adventures. Nice clean environment. All rooms are single so she does not have a room mate. The therapy department is excellent. Could not ask for a more clean, caring and professional place for my mother. Really wish I could share the photos from what happened to my Grandmother. If you love you loved ones DO NOT send them here. Admitting your family member to this place is a death wish. Will be contacting the state and anyone else I can. Pictures truly are worth a thousand words.

This is a lovely facility with many amenities. The staff truly care about the welfare of the residents and work hard and overtime for the residents.

My mother is currently a patient here recovering from a fractured hip and surgery to repair this. She has to wait at least 30 min at night to even have someone come in and help her get on her bedside comode and than another 30 min for someone to help her back to sleep. There has also been an issue every single night with her pain meds. Perfect example, she has been waiting for someone to come in and wipe her and her hip is hurting so bad from being on the bedside comode for to long. Is this how your staff treats your patients? Yall need to get it together. I need a supervisor to get a hold of me or my father rico crespo today!!!

DO NOT LEAVE YOUR FAMILY MEMBER IN THIS FACILITY. My Mother-In-Law has only been there for 5 days some of the staff (evening) are verbally abusise, refusing to give her a shower after 3 requests, she had to wait until a scheduled shower the following Monday after being admitted the previous Wednesday, was not allowed to pick her own clothing and told so in a very rude manner. When I confronted this staff Nurse she started yelling and screaming out in the commons area that my Mother was lying and she couldnt babysit everyone all the time. A very unprofessional response . 1/20 ratio for evening care. This is not the place you want your family member. 7/17/2017 ..

Compassionate staff and friendly services for the residents :)

My father was sent here for rehab for a total knee replacement. There is no physical therapy Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Nursing staff does not bring medication on schedule or when requested.My fathers hearing aides went missing on his second day. After multiple conversations with the manager and police involvement the hearing aides magically showed up 3 days later and were returned to us.Awful and inexcusable to steal from the elderly and provide subpar care.

After visiting my grandmother here and her breaking down, more than once in tears, I would suggest you take these reviews seriously. The staff needs some serious training and or replacement. What she told me seems to coincide with what is in these reviews. Yelling from the staff, negligence, and medicine not being given. She has come here in the past and not had this experience however, it has obviously changed and this is not acceptable.

My mother there to receive skilled nursing requirements -- rehab after hospital surgery. Understaffed, overworked, and inconsistent care. They mix long term care with skilled nursing. No processes. Weekend night coverage for 20 patients one nurse, two CNAs. Nothing done on a proactive basis. Patients must buzz for everything. Bathroom, medicine, etc. Response time from 15 minutes to over one hour. Horrible communication. One nurse berated my mother at her mealtime in front of numerous other patients and family members for causing more work for her when doctor requested change in medicine. Told her happened again would not do it. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR FAMILY MEMBER ALONE if they need assistance for daily needs! Definitely operating as a cost reduction facility. Nurse unable to dispense medicine in a.m. until able to obtain a key to access meds. Everything locked up. They scrounge for everything. Check out whats behind the fancy decor before deciding placement. Kudos to Kathy and Lori - need more like these two as they are creative and willing to step outside the basics - Great customer service and communication from them.

Dont even consider this place for a moment. We cant recommend this Rehab facility to ANYONE! Let me tell you why...* NO structure, NO one in charge, NO one responsible* Staff very DISconnected, therapy, nurses, etc.* VERY UNprofessional at Nurses Station... Bar talk* Patient finished lunch, asked to return to room, needed assistance, was told to wait for the aides to return from their lunch!* Did not use medical belt at all times for a very WEAK patient.* Did not remove bandage when DR. had ordered them OFF. 4 days later whenfamily asked about it, they blew it off as no big deal.* Bus for patient Dr. Appointment was scheduled AN HOUR after the appt.* Staff asked patient what she wanted for breakfast, but it never came...When family went to check on it, staff said...OH, she cant have that.! Well, come ask what else she would like...*AND theres more stories besides these...JUST STEER CLEAR!

Management makes promises that they do not keep, which caused my loved one living there a lot of unnecessary grief, expense, and stress. We were told they would not keep him and then were refused the proper discharge paperwork. Do not recommend. Go to Catholic Care or another Via Christi facility as this one is poorly managed.
