My visit with Dr. Patel for a yearly check up was really disappointing. I could tell that while she was in the room with me, she was also chatting/tele-meding with a patient called Y***e C**z and wasnt really paying attention to what I was saying. At a couple of times she asked me to repeat my question again, because (I believe) she wasnt really paying attention. When I voiced some of my health concerns on various issues, she kept asking me if I thought that additional testing/imaging/treatment was needed to what I told her at some point, that she was the doctor and that I was just describing what I was experiencing, and was relying on her to make the call.Last, once she answered one of my questions, she left abruptly without asking if I had any other concerns (which I had), without telling me what to do, and without even saying goodbye (shortly after that I could hear her on the next room greeting one of tele-patients on the laptop). After leaving the office and ask the front desk crew what I was supposed to do, they said that they thought I was supposed to go back to the room and wait to get the referrals, which took another 20-25mins as Dr. Patel kept helping other patients via the tele-med application (I could hear her introducing herself to a few of her patients).Honestly, I am really disappointed with my experience with Dr. Patel, and plan on requesting a different PCP from Bay Care, or a different medical group.

My GP was not open to addressing my concerns. Told me to get supplements off Amazon for a severe vitamin D deficiency and I had to press her to write a script for a prescribed dose of Vitamin D. Off amazon? Why see a doctor. She barely examined me. It was almost an after thought to have me lay down to do a 1 minute exam. Im shocked how unconcerned or maybe its disinterest for anyone bc of Covid. I found the office to be dirty and just unorganized.

Appointment was at 11:15, I was out the door by 11:28. The nurse taking vitals was unprofessional and complaining that this was not her actual job and she was just covering for someone. Then Dr. Patel came into the room for ~5 minutes, scrolled quickly through my bloodwork on a computer screen, barely listened to anything I said and was extremely dismissive. Ultimately, she advised me that every one of my concerns would be resolved if I just did more cardio - Im an active runner and yogi, eat relatively healthy, and work daily on my mental health so to be told so blatantly and dismissively that I can fix every health challenge I am experiencing with more running was extremely insulting. Both doctors I have seen at this office are hugely lacking in bedside manner and I will NOT be returning.

This was the most impersonal doctors visit I have ever had. I came in to establish a PCP and for a physical. Dr. Patel spent maybe a grand total of 5 minutes with me. She hardly did any normal check ups (eyes, nose, lymph nodes, throat, reflexes, etc.) or even have my vitals done before she saw me. When I told her I had fasted so I could get blood work done, she told me she wasnt sure if they took my insurance so I would need to go separately. She didnt offer for a medical assistant or anyone else to come help me figure that out so I could have it done in office like most normal PCP offices do. It was a pretty disappointing appointment and I definitely dont recommend her to anyone looking for a doctor to spend time with them in the room and invest in their health.

Last month I tried to get meds refilled. Pharmacy faxed request over 3 times then I called 3 times before any action was taken. They could have told me the first two phone calls that I had to see the doctor for meds refill (not narcotics). They said I need bloodwork done but never sent in an order even after I called twice about it. I had to reschedule once, then the doctor rescheduled my appointment because she was not going to be there. I said fine, but Ill need one more refill on 3 medications. One medication was forgot and I was REFUSED a refill on my Duloxitine 30 mg. Pharmacy faxed over 3 requests first, then, I called FOUR more times after that conversation and finally got someone to actually talk to the doctor after the first 3 people said well take care of that but NEVER DID!!!. She said she would refill but make sure I made my appointment (the appointment that she rescheduled). I am done being disrespected and treated like a piece of garbage. Being denied access to a medication that I need is unacceptable.

Thin walls, loud doctors, no privacy, I heard everyone’s medical history in the office, and I’m sure everyone heard mine. Rude front desk, could never refill my prescription, they read inaccurate information referencing dates before I was even a patient to defend why I couldn’t refill the prescription I’m dependent upon without a new appointment. They shared that for the first time knowing I was already completely out of the emergency dose. Only ever trying to sell something, no one there cares.

This was my second visit to Dr Patel. I transferred Dr. from within network and my first visit to my previous DR consisted of what was in their interest than mine. I have had prostate cancer some yrs back I currently have blood pressure and have a history of stomach problems, none of these were addressed at the first DR not even if I needed medication of which I had ran out of blood pressure medications. they offered only to give me a vaccine because I was over 65 which I declined. I was given a blood test I assumed I would be called it to go over the results. Never at any time while visiting that office did I feel that happy customer service feeling from anyone. I received a phone call stating that my results was back and just that I must diet and exercise. I decided at that time to change DR . My first visit to DR Patel was the experience any patient wants from their DR. She walked into the room and introduced herself and already knew my history from reading my files and just from her question and probing I knew and felt that that I was in good hand. I would definitely recommend Dr Patel, she will never make you feel like your five mins has expired and she is also a great listener. If for any reason this sounds over the top to you, understand that I am 65 yrs old and have had my share of Doctors and feel that past experiences give me the right to make the above statements.Thank you D Patel.

I came in for a physical to get specific paperwork filled out for school. With everything going on with COVID, I was trying to minimize the # of appointments. I sent the paperwork in to the office ahead of time and they sent out for bloodwork. They didnt include the TB test nor the immunity/antibody test to know if I received the MMR shot, so I needed to get additional blood drawn (while at the appt) and a TB test that I had to come back in later (ie another day). I sent in the paperwork that was filled out to school and there is further delay as the MMR results arent on there. I called the office to access them and they tell me I can get them by coming in. Again, with COVID, I dont want to come in and put my family at risk. I asked if I could access it from the portal (this is my 2nd time asking for access to the portal) and they said I should get an email within 24 hours w/the link. Its been 24 hours and I havent received the link. Still, the reason I made the initial appointment is yet to be resolved. From start to now, its just been a bad customer experience and frustrating. Im only giving feedback to hopefully help the next person as this has already been a bad experience for me. All things aside, love Dr. Patel and her straight forward feedback, which is the only reason I havent left to find another practice.

Everyone here has always been professional and polite. Dr. Patel is very thorough and spends time listening to patients. I like that she takes notes while in the room, as there is less chance of error. I never feel rushed, nor do I have to wait in lobby or room for very long. Dr Patel is not a super bubbly person but she is kind, honest, accommodating, and encouraging. I have been to a lot of doctors over the years but I continue to return despite now living about 25 minutes away.

I cant even explain how horrible of an experience I had. I felt completely like a number and felt as if the business was just trying to suggest more test or things in order to collect more money. I didnt get a warm feeling and didnt feel listened to at all from the physician. I felt the check out was not private at all and appointments were attempted to be set up that me and the physician didnt even speak about. In the interest of saving time and not having to wait for another primary care, I am going to follow through with my treatment plan with baycare. However, as soon as I have the things addressed that I came there for, I will be changing physicians immediately! I dont think ive ever had an experience as bad as this in any doctors office.

If I could give a zero, I would. Read this: I highly recommend you know your rights as a patient before visiting Dr. Dipali Patel. Get the list of questions you will be asked in advance so you aren’t billed for it- Be aware of the questions Dr. asks, she is finding a way to bill your insurance. What is the point of visiting a doctor if you can’t answer historical medical questions to diagnose the real problem? Is this ETHICAL? My company provides 2 wellness visits a year, I scheduled my 2nd visit and Dr. Patel coded it incorrectly with the assumption my company allows 1 annual visit. She continued the visit and then billed me. She refuses to acknowledge the mistake in her end. Baycare does not have a formal dispute process or complaint process. They are extremely disorganized. No one takes accountability for their error.

I felt completely taken care of at this office and I have been going through a lot of health issues for a long time and from the ladies at the front desk at reception to the nurses to the to my doctor Dr. Patel they were just amazing. They really really care about you for example I was losing weight and I just so happen to be there when they had lunch and one of the nurses came in and asked me what I wanted on my taco or burrito and went back and fixed it for me and came back in with a plate of food while I was waiting for some results.I also feel like they are very thorough and that is very comforting when there may be a few different things wrong. I’ve never waited longer than 8 to 10 minutes tops in the office is very nice. I feel very blessed to have her as a doctor and you have met the nurses that she has because they are truly amazing. I also want to note that I have never ever left a review for anything so that should tell you something they’re doing something right!

My doctor is Dr. Seufert. I had an appointment with Nancy, she rushed in and out and I was very upset because I had questions. My next appointment she came in and apologize to me because she knew I was upset. She told me they are to visit with a patient for only 15 mins. Thats not enough time. A time limit shouldnt be put on a doctor as to how much time they spend with a patient. Each patient case is different. I dont know who came up with policy. But, put yourself in the patient shoes. See how you feel if your doctor rushed and out. I have been a patient at that office for 27 years and always received good service. I would like to continue in that office. So, think about the patient when making these new policies. Also, would you like it as a patient yourself.

Sadly, I am updating my review. The last few appointments I have felt extremely rushed and uncared for. I am switching to a different baycare office and provider.I have finally found a primary in Tampa that I am comfortable with. First, her front office staff was friendly and on point. My appointment was right on time. The online check in was convenient. Dr. Patel took the time to listen to my concerns and explain to me in laymens terms what she thought was going on. She was very personable and made me feel at ease. She was nice enough to combine my blood work for her with a request I had already from my endo. That way I wouldn’t have to go more than once. I would recommend her highly.

This pyscisian I saw did a fantastic job of throughly evaluating my symptoms and interpretating my words and actions during my exam to assist me in a way in which I am comfortable with the changes to my health care needs, without loosing the option of being placed on a different treatment plan, or returning to my previous treatment plan, if the new options given to me are found to be unsuccessful for my personal health care needs as an individual.I have also selected Bay Care Medical Group as my childrens pediatricians, as they are a wonderful, caring, and encouraging group of doctors, in which would not pressure me as their patient, or my children and I into making health care decisions in which were not necessary, or could result in unhealthily or negative outcomes later on in our lives. I have not found many doctors offices in the Hillsborough County area of Florida, that were able to understand the health risks as a patient and parent, without being pushy, rude, overly judgemental and un-carrismatic, towards myself, my children, and my family, due to our beliefs, ideals, and expectations of our treating health care providers. Thank you for your time and for assisting myself, my children, and my family with further treatment options not considered or that had not been recommended previously by our treating doctors, to help myself, my children, or my family members with the best options available for our individual health care needs.

I am increasingly impressed by this health care facility. Since it moved to its new home on Swann and Melville in South Tampa, I have watched as the operations have become more streamlined and user(patient)-friendly. I was frankly underwhelmed by the facility in its former location on Church St. A combination of long wait times for appointments, front desk staff who did not appear to know anything about customer satisfaction, a nurse who drew my blood and created a situation for me because of her ineptitude, etc. etc., and I had almost decided to take my business - and my health - elsewhere. Gave it another chance and am glad that I did. In-office blood draw was excellent and drama-free, no wait times for this or the appointment itself a week later, and no sense of hurrying me up by Dr. Patel, as she gave me her full attention during my annual physical and answered all my questions. Prescriptions were handled that same day, as promised. Three minor complaints: 1. I forgot to ask for a physical copy of my bloodwork, and it was not offered to me. 2. A few of the tests could have been a little more in depth - but again, not discussed with me prior to having blood drawn. 3. I went to my patient portal to see if I could print out my bloodwork results and had a lot of difficulty navigating it. Never did find the results, so will have to call the office and ask for a copy to be emailed or sent to me via snailmail. All in all a pleasant experience, probably 8.5/10, and this very particular patient would have no qualms in recommending either Dr. Patel or HealthPoint in general.
