I have been going to Dr. Ferrera for all my dental needs for over 25 years…not only is he Amazing and professional but his staff is Outstanding both in the front office and his dental team…Over the years some Hygenist move away or change but there is no one better than Brooke… She is Amazing and will spend all the time necessary to make your teeth as perfect as possible. She even removed stains on my teeth that I was told could not be fixed …. Thank you Brooke!

First timer at Dr.Ferreras office. I scheduled an appointment online which was easy and convenient. The office was nice and clean. The staff were ALL very professional, friendly, caring and courteous!I have pretty bad anxiety, couple that with feelings of embarrassment because of putting off dental due to other serious personal health issues and finances.Dr. Ferrera and his staff did everything they could to put me at ease. Dr. Ferrera (and his staff) seemed to be understanding, professional and nice.I have only had xrays, an exam and consultation thus far. Procedures are scheduled upcoming. However, I am highly confident in his skill and expertise from discussions I had with Dr. Ferrera. I really appreciated and was impressed that Dr. Ferrera takes the time to educate his patients.I had a little existing knowledge about how infections look on the xray. Dr. Ferrera did not know this, yet he took the time to show me and explain that, along with everything else we were looking at. I learned more from him than I have at any other dentist. I feel that by him taking time to do this it helps put his patients at ease and allows them to make an informed decision on treatment along with his recommendations...Long story short, I highly recommend Dr.Ferrera. Went in for a routine teeth cleaning and right during the middle of the cleaning, Dr Ferrera walks in and tells his dental assistant to stop during mid-cleaning because I didnt have updated x-rays which I refused to get because Im pregnant. He made me leave with only half of my teeth cleaned! Unbelievably unprofessional. I will NOT be coming here again! AVOID THIS DENTIST LIKE THE PLAGUE!

I am a new patient and am scheduled for my dental work to start on Friday. I met with the doctor and his assistant, Maggie and was very very happy. I walked in very scared, but left the office feeling as though Dr.Ferrara understood my fear, Dr Ferrara took a lot of time with me and made me feel more than comfortable. Maggie stood with me throughout the entire visit and was a very positive influence. I would recommend Dr Ferrera to my family and friends.

Absolutely horrific service. They are quite unprofessional. They like to accuse new patients of being drug addicts, and like to tell them to grow up because they are afraid of the dentist. Clearly no consideration that they may have PTSD from prior dentists at a younger age. The dentist didn’t even introduce himself when he came into the room. Just began accusations. After leaving, I called back to speak to the head dentist or manager and the receptionist refused while having an attitude the entire time. I recommend staying clear of this business.

Dr. Ferrera has been my dentist for over two decades. When I first met him, I required a four unit bridge in the front of my mouth, top teeth.The bridge was a work of art, and lasted for 22 years. This alone speaks volumes about Dr. Ferrera and his awesome team.He will be replacing my bridge he put in all those years ago. I’m not going to use my real name. Your office has my contact info. I doubt it’ll be too hard to find a patient that matches the description below on the date above...Original Post:The first appt I had with this dental office, they stated I had a cavity in a tooth and it required filling. They suggested I would be paying outrageously more than what my insurance stated my copay would have been, so I sat on the decision.Fast forward six months to my second appointment and they didn’t mention anything about a cavity or a need to get a filling. I specifically asked if there was anything out of the ordinary that required attention and they said no....I’m not sure about the quality of dental services here.It seems like they either want to squeeze out money from patients for unnecessary procedures, or they honestly don’t know what is or could be wrong with my teeth. I’m sure if I suddenly need a root canal they’ll feign ignorance about not knowing about the cavity.

Found a good dentist and happy with the services. Just brush and floss, take care of your teeth 😃

So I have put off this review for a while to make sure I am not being over-emotional or incorrectly restating the situation. I can not in good conscience recommend Dr. Ferrera. His work on my teeth was painful, prolonged, and expensive. I was a compliant patient but was told by Dr. Ferrera that I was overly anxious and obviously had never given birth because when he asked I stated that I was in pain during a procedure. This was 2 weeks after I had a very emotionally draining miscarriage which I had mentioned to him. He also got upset and continually yelled at me about not opening my mouth wide enough (not something I can control) and later found out from a different dentist was because I grind my teeth. He and his staff continually talked politics and welfare and kids these days even when I mentioned that I was a teacher and in spite of the fact that I did not engage them in this topic at any point. I repeatedly gave them chances, did not submit reviews, and generally put my comfort aside because Dr. Ferrera seemed to have a temper however after a year awful treatment and now seeing how dentistry can be done in a more calm manner I am certain that my treatment was not appropriate or warranted. Perhaps it is because I am a younger person or my profession that caused the issue but either way I hope to spare someone else future issues.

As always the whole group is great. Super friendly and efficient. Marci does a great job with my cleanings. Dr. Ferrera takes great care of my teeth. Fully recommend them to anyone looking for a new dentist.

If you must see a dentist, see Dr. Bob Ferrera for excellent care in a pleasant environment at a reasonable price. I spent a few hours in his chair this week while he and one of his assistants, Liz, replaced a crown and filled two cavities for me. They made it tolerable. I know I chuckled throughout. Dr. Bobs front office staff is great as well. Whenever I have to call or am in the office, I am taken care of right away. His office is conveniently located on Bruce B. Downs Blvd. just north of USF.

Around last year, I came in to the office for a root canal. They assigned me to another doctor to get it done. I got the root canal and the other dentist told be to go back to Ferrera to get my crown one but the doctor at Ferrera kept talking to me throughout the appointments telling me about everything else I needed to get done and was taking too long to get my crown on. Recently, my tooth broke as a result of lacking immediate treatment. Now I will need to get a large surgery to take care of the damage done because of this office.
