This was my first visit. The wait time was minimal. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Dr. Bruckner spent time with me, answered my questions and had a good bedside manner. His nurse assistant, Stacey, was wonderful, both caring and sweet.

Everything else was done correctly. He was very knowledgeable about my condition, and offered a solution that Id not tried. Im having surgery done shortly and the medication, combined with pain medicine is not appropriate at this time. This will allow me time to try the low FODMAP diet he gave me.

Everything. Dr. Bruckner is exceptional. My case is acute and rapidly getting worse. Dr. Bruckner was so kind and gentle with my emotions and fiercely committed to resolving the issues and treating them. He went above and beyond for me and truly listened. He is totally on my team and for that I am forever grateful.

NOTHING WAS DONE RIGHT, IF HE WAS GONNA RUN MORE TEST IT SHOULD OF BEEN A MRI SINCE A CT SCAN WAS DONE ON THE 19th at ANOTHER HOSPITAL. THEY LEFT ME IN THE BED UNTIL I DEMANDED TO LEAVE, NOTHING WAS BEING DONE, MY HUSBAND ASKED FOR A WHEELCHAIR AND HE WHEELED ME OUT IN THE SAME PAIN I CAME IN WITH. MARY BLACK WAS A GOOD PLACE TO GO TO 20 YEARS AGO BUT IT IS BEYOND PATHETIC NOW!! A BUNCH OF CLOWNS HIRED AS DOCTORS. NEVER AGAIN!!

If you need care for you or your loved ones dont make an appt. To see this guy it is sad that I have to say this but the truth is that he is old and has no clue how to treat his patients that are in need of help to try to belittle a patient is cold hearted I am gonna call my insurance company and ask what is there I can do to prevent him from receiving any form of payment

Dr. Bruckner was the only one to figure out what was wrong with me. I felt though the last time I was with him I didnt feel like I got anywhere. There was one time he was running late from procedures and I waited and waited and I could either reschedule or see the NP which I saw the NP and loved her. I had an appt today and they called this morning saying he was in procedures and may be late for my appt would I like to wait or reschedule. Of course I said no to waiting bc I work and that I need to reschedule. The lady was like well it will be July. I told her I would just find another dr and in her happy voice she said OK. I explained to her it wasnt right I have to wait that long when they are the ones cancelling on me. She said sorry. I repeated I will just find another dr. Once again OK!! So, I will no longer be using this office.

Health Care at its best! Dr Bruckner is great GI Doctor! Highly recommended for your GI/Liver Issues!

Dr. Bruckner helped me while I was in the middle of a major ulcerative colitis flare up. I couldnt get any help at my local hospital and luckily I found him. He hospitalized me for 20 days and saved me from having my colon removed! Im healthy and eating whatever I like these days. If he wasnt so far away from where I live, I would still be seeing him today. Id really like to thank him for helping me

Poor bedside manner, arrogant, and condescending. If I didnt stand up for my husband the way I did he may have been much worse off. Thankful for the Mary Black ER doctor and Spartanburg Regional team of doctors, nurses, and medical staff who took it from there and have been absolutely amazing!!!

I have never in my life been so disappointed in medical care, let alone a specialty. My photo wasnt taken as a new patient, my records werent there and he asked if I brought them in. Paper records? What in the world? And then basically said Well I cant really help you until you have those, so have a good one. Didnt even say thanks for coming in, Im sorry you werent made aware that you had to bring them in on P A P E R. I was given another patients lab orders to take downstairs (HIPAA violation). He used the most condescending tone Ive ever heard in my life. I told them that Im not one to complain, and I never have about care until today. Through multiple ER admissions, different states, specialists, doctors, and teams, never. Two months for a wait and $40 down the drain for a co-pay. Zero stars. And I know that this is a teaching hospital, but at least ask your patient if youre comfortable with having a student in the room. I would have eagerly said yes, but the question was not asked. I dont want others to make the same mistake here. He looked at a blood panel I had done by an amazing internist and said It could be pre-diabetes, you could have a fatty liver, so should probably lose some weight. And he wanted me to have a liver ultrasound, based off of labs from nearly two months ago. Ive seen TWO doctors and neither had said a thing, and he clearly couldnt see that since that visit, Ive been losing. I was so embarrassed. An awful experience all around. I will be calling whoever I need to for this god awful mess.
