Great initial visit! Hadn’t been to a dentist in too long due to a lack of dental insurance. Everyone was super nice, and friendly. I didn’t feel judged for not having been to the dentist in a while, and the staff is super supportive and conscientious of their patients’ anxiety and pain sensitivity. Overall great experience!

I will give Dr. Annie Sohn a great review as she was very decisive and knew what to do and also hesitated for my highest well-being and outcome. I had a great conversation with the receptionist on the phone but when I met her in person she was very impersonal which should be corrected. We are all there for one reason or another and should be greeted in the best way regardless...my opinion.

Smile Esthetic is THE best dental office around! All of the staff are professional and friendly. Dr. Sohn is excellent, a constant learner, and so incredibly competent. She surrounds herself w/qualified and compassionate staff w/a clear goal of making sure each patient is comfortable throughout any procedure. Special shout-out to Tashona who may be about the best hygienist EVER. My teeth are super sensitive and she figured out a way to clean my teeth w/out numbing them (Ive preferred numbing because I tend to tense up). Ive been able to keep them cleaner between visits which helps in terms of needing to be numb. Still...AMAZING :) Bravo to all!!!

This place is the best. I’d never have thought I’d say that about a dentistry but there you go. Friendly knowledgeable professionals running a tight ship. My family has been coming here for years. I’m posting a review now because they’ve gone above and beyond during the pandemic. They provided light childcare for my toddler while I got my teeth cleaned! And (no surprise here) they offered a safe supportive environment for my toddler’s first teeth polishing.

Dr Sohn is an incredibly knowledgeable dentist. I am repeatedly impressed at her efficiency and effectiveness. Her team too is very friendly. I’ve had two instances when I needed an urgent appointment and Dr Sohn was able to fit me in the same day.

I have been coming to Dr. Annie Sohn for 2 years and have experienced great dental service that I feel confident and comfortable with both Dr. Sohn and her staff.I initially came in because I had broken 2 of my front teeth and needed to fix them with veneers. Dr. Sohn made sure I was comfortable, explained what needed to be done, and provided me with options (she also mentioned the costs which I really liked). I have been returning for routine care as well as a tooth extraction.Also, the entire office is modern yet cozy. No more daunting, dusty, old dentist offices!

I’ve been going here for about a year and I always have a great experience! Dr. Sohn is always great at explaining what she’s doing and if any work needs to be done and why. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful as well. The hygienist I had at my most recent visit was the best so far!

There were three main problems:1) Nothing was explained to me and it was extremely confusing to understand what was being done, why, and most of all, how much it would cost. I kept being told things like, dont worry its covered by my insurer. But I have an annual max, so I have to be careful with all the extras.2) We had a lot of back and forth about x-rays and they were quite pushy about it. My old dentist had not forwarded my history (which is on them) but knowing I was a new patient transferring in I would have liked this office to be more proactive to ensure they had received them before the visit. I was told well we dont have time now to wait for the your last x-rays to be sent in. I was basically told that they couldnt do anything without x-rays so I got them done, but after the visit I realized they didnt even look at them, or certainly didnt discuss them with me.3) I had specifically asked to see Dr Sohn, after having heard good reviews. Instead I saw someone else who was clearly very new to the profession, which I support and is important for their training. What I wasnt happy about was that no one explained this to me, she didnt introduce herself to me, and I had to keep asking people: are you the dentist, the hygienest, the nurse? It was very confusing. Also, she kept forgetting things she was meant to do (the nurse kept having to remind her) and she forgot things I had asked her to check. Fully supportive of people in training, but please be more transparent and honest about everything.Front of house was excellent.

I brought my 3 years old for a check up. The dentist was so good at dealing with her. She was patient and was able to check her teeth even though my daughter is stubborn and has a strong well. She was so happy and said she wants to come back for another check up. I totally recommend

Dr. Sohn is very knowledgeable and kind. Since my 6 month cleaning was pushed back by COVID, I had a little more build up than usual. She was very gentle but me feel comfortable even with all the scaling. I appreciate her and her team! My mouth is happy! 😁

I was charged for two extra services that were not preformed. I caught it on my way out after going through my final bill with the front desk staff, $350 became $200. Ask what specific services will be preformed prior to sitting on the chair otherwise you are in for a full, unnecessary treatment. Bi annual cleaning and the exam took around 15 min total which I think is way too rushed. Very friendly staff but the quality of dental care is overshadowed by their drive for commission. It was my third visit and it just kept getting worse.

I guess this is a good dentist if you are looking for that mafia-light bill pay experienceI went in for a routine cleaning and the dentist decided to recommend (up-sell) I get a bite-guard for sleep.I said How much will it be out of pocket?I waited as they called the insurance company, did some math, and said it would be $200 out of pocket when all is said and done.Seemed a bit steep for something you can get for $30 at Walgreens, but I agreed to get it.They scheduled another appointment to come and get a mold made.After that appointment there was another to actually pick up the mouth-guard and get it adjusted.After that last appointment, they said, Whoops, looks like your insurance doesnt cover anything. That will be $550.I told them to keep the mouth-guard, I am not paying that price which isnt anywhere near what I was quoted.The dentist came out and said, Sorry for the mix up, we will honor the price you were quoted.So I paid $200 and left.Fast forward several months, and I get a text saying You owe $350 on your account, this is your final notice. You have 10 days before we send your account to collectionsSo much for honoring the price we quoted you.To be clear, I had not received any bill or any other notice. This final notice was also my first noticeended up paying the $350 because when I called they had no record of this agreement

If i could I’ll give negative ratings due to highly unprofessional behavior of their staff. The doctor and assistance is good but at the end they recommend some treatment while booking the appointment and once confirmed they do something else. The front desk lady is ignorant and arrogant enough to annoy. I would highly not recommend this place due to their behavior and professional courtesy

I have a lot of confidence in Annie and her team. Annie is friendly and funny, and she takes the time to explain options and the reasons why she recommends a course of action related to dental health. Ive had basic work done for cavities and such, and no issues.

Friendly staff who made the check in process a breeze. They also reminded me my appointment and answered all the questions I had. Annie was very personable and made me feel comfortable throughout my wisdom teeth procedure. She even called me after my appointment see how I’m doing. Overall, very welcoming and highly recommended.

The flexibility, approachability of the auxiliary staff and facility is great. They do a good job of explaining your options and letting you know what you can do. The only reason I took off a star is because Dr. Sohn can be very rushed and has a tendency to talk about the patient as if they aren’t in the room. The dental assistants are great and explain what’s going on if you ask but Dr. Sohn seems too bothered to give you that time.

It’s been a few years since I visited the dentist and I’m so happy to have found Dr. Annie Sohn! Everyone at the office was kind and easy to talk too. There is nothing worse than waking up in the morning and realizing you have a cold sore. I remembered Annie mentioning this diode laser treatment during my last appointment, so I thought I would give it a shot. I called the office at 7am and she was able to take me right away! She is very positive and encouraging and explains everything she’s seeing a doing, which really puts me at ease. All of the staff at her office are equally as kind and understanding. Edit - If you live on a budget watch out. I like to go into offices knowing how much I will spend out of pocket... if you do too, be careful here.I naively thought it was great that they shared a detailed budget with the total out of pocket costs for the procedures. The detailed cost plan showed that these small procedures would mostly be covered by my insurance and that I would only pay around $100 out of pocket. The best part: they had this plan with everything that needed to be done and checked with my insurance how much would be covered. So I thought we were good to go. I did the procedures and paid the $100 I owed. However, a month later I got a call from them saying they actually went above my insurance cap and that I had to pay and aditional $500 out of pocket.I asked for a discount on the value given the circumstances - they said they were going to reach back out with an answer... never got a answer - only the $500 bill in the mail.I paid the bill, but I am reducing this to one star rating and letting customers know to be careful and not trust when they say they checked with your insurance.If I had done all the procedures they had recommended these “surprise out of pocket costs” would be in the thousands- glad I pushed back.

Dr. Sohn is the BEST dentist I have ever encountered! She is polite, friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and extraordinarily passionate about health. I have severe dental-phobia, owing to some very bad experiences in the past, but Dr. Sohn makes me feel at ease and comfortable. Dr. Sohn recruits many of her patients through opencare, which SAYS that shes in your insurance network; shes not. She billed for around double what preferred in-network dentists charged. She and her staff give inaccurate information about what is covered.In my case, she charged me for two exams, told me I needed fillings because of a mistake she made. I asked if she would waive the cost, since the cavities were the result of her mistake. She refused and told me she would offer a payment plan where I would be charged interest. I submitted a complaint to the WA Dental Board and Dr. Sohn responded by telling me she would no longer be my dentist. She had already taken my exams for the year, so I couldnt get a dentist to fix the cavities for which she was responsible (without paying out of pocket for an exam). Her staff said I could get another exam covered at a different dentist. I checked to confirm with my insurance, who said her staff was either misinformed or lying.I absolutely do not recommend Dr. Sohn. While she has a bubbly and warm personality, her dental operation is riddled with traps and her staff will mislead you in order to charge around double what other dentists charge.

My experiences at Smile Esthetic have always been nothing but positive. Really great first experience here! the dental hygienist was very nice and communicative. She helped make sure I was comfortable and everythingDr Sohn was also great! Shes talkative in a good way. When she talks about dental stuff while working, she explains it in laymens terms so we can understand to. Never had a dentist do that before so that was great. She also asked for consent before getting to work may I touch your face which was unexpected but professional and appreciated. She is a little rough but I didnt mind too much. If you voice discomfort Im sure they will accommodate.They gave me a little goodie bag with toothpaste and such as a new customer and it was also a pleasant surpriseDefinitely would recommend this place. I just wish they were open on weekends (and maybe played better music )

Dr. Sohn fit me into a same-day appointment to zap my cold sore with a laser to prevent it from getting out of hand and from coming back in the same spot. She also wrote me a prescription for a cream in the event I could not get to her office in time. She and the office staff are so accommodating (and kid friendly too!). Jayme at the front desk was able to confirm insurance benefits prior to my arrival. Although the office is out of the way for our family, we make every effort to see Dr. Sohn because she and her staff provide such great care and service!

She was very informative and gave me all my options, unlike other dentists that recommended numerous treatments and/or procedures saying it had to get done ASAP. Dr. Sohn explained how certain treatments would be good preventive measures, but I did not have to go that route if I wanted to just wait until something had to be done.Everyone Ive met in the office has been super friendly and helpful.
