I was in extreme pain for several days and Gentle Dental was the only clinic to see me same day. Called to make an appointment by a third party for Dental emergency. Once there the process to see the dentist was quick and easy. Even WITHOUT INSURANCE my tooth extraction was very very affordable! The staff were caring, understanding and sympathetic to my discomfort, finances and time. Thank you all! The pain is gone! I couldnt have ask for a better experience or dentist.

Nearly impossible to reach by phone. They did have an employee that did not have a good rapport with customers but she no longer is there. I need my dental X-rays to switch dentists but they didnt answer the phone for the new dentist so Ive got to continue to try to get my x-rays so I dont have to pay for them again. A fill in manager said he would help get my money back to me that I put on the books, and Ive been trying for about 6 months. He said I could reach them by email even though the previous person that worked there said they did not read emails when I had asked why they hadnt responded. They do not have a good record with the BBB. I was going there for care because it was nearby. I will never again prepay for any dental work I am told will be needed in the future. I will be glad when I can finally establish services from another dentist. My new dental service was well aware of the reputation of this provider. They said they got many clients from here.

Called to make an appointment and was told there was a special for $50. I received 2 reminder texts. When I arrived the paperwork said $84 and was told that promotion doesn’t include their Seattle locations. Everyone was pleasant enough. The person who took my X-rays apologized 40 times for things that weren’t bothersome.I’m shopping around for other opinions. My treatment plan quote exceeded $6000. Considering the untrustworthiness of numbers so far, I would not recommend Gentle Dental if you are at all concerned about your budget.

The staff were very personable, kind, gentle, and fast! Each appointment has been promptly scheduled, finished ahead of time, and had painless easy crown replacements. I would definitely recommend this dentistry.

I was a patient here for about six years. Most appointments went smoothly. However there several times they seemed very unprofessional. Once I was left in a room and forgotten - I sat a very long time before someone realized I was there. On two occasions, my dentist Dr. Fletcher canceled at the very last minute - one day I was told this at the time of my appointment which was a huge hassle because I had requested time off work and commuted there. Once when I tried to cancel an appointment with quite a bit more notice than that (but maybe less than 24 hours?), the receptionist told me in a rude tone that I would be charged in full for the appointment - youd think they give me more leeway given how forgiving I was after those occasions. On my last visit, I was overdue for X-rays/an exam in addition to my cleaning and the receptionist called and asked me to come in early so the dentist could see me before leaving for the day. I hurried there and arrived when she said to, but Dr. Fletcher had already left. Additionally, now that I moved and switched to a new dentist, Im surprised with how much more thorough they are - they noticed multiple things that were missed including a fractured crown that needed to be replaced and a chipped tooth that needed a filling. Every time the dentist examined me, it seemed rushed.Also I dont know if it was the dental hygienists fault, but after cleanings there was visible brown staining left on my teeth which was disappointing and not fully addressed after I pointed it out.

I really love this office. I’ve been going here for 5 years and have had such a great experience. They go out of their way to make patients comfortable. They inform patients when they are going to touch them and why. Dr Fletcher is so kind and professional. The hygienists are excellent and provide direct and helpful feedback that have improved my oral health. I now live 20min away and still plan to go to this office.

I have been a patient since 2017 and never had a problem with them. These people are so professional. They will make you feel welcomed. Treatments and procedure wise, excellent. I had a big issue with my insurance and Natalie had helped me all throughout the process. She is an awesome lady. This clinic is highly recommendable!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about the whole team here from the front desk staff, office manager Natalie, to the dentist, dental assistants and dental hygienist everyone is so kind, professional and accommodating. I needed several large metal fillings from my childhood crowned but had been putting it off during grad school and because, despite being in the medical field myself, I’ve always had anxiety going to the dentist. Dr. Fletcher and dental assistant Marley made me feel so comfortable and have made the entire process as painless as possible. I’ve never felt like any of the treatments recommended were unnecessary as I have with past dentists. Dr. Fletcher has always done beautiful work and clearly has so much experience, he takes the time to explain the procedures and why they’re necessary. I’m so happy with how my crowns have turned out (which is so important to preserve the health of my teeth for a lifetime). They’ve been able to get me in consistently to get the work I needed done quickly, while making me feel safe and protected during this unprecedented pandemic. The hygienist has also been great, keeping my teeth and gums beautiful and healthy. I will definitely be a patient here for life, special thank you to the whole team for working and taking care of your patients despite this pandemic.

I have pretty strong dental phobia & anxiety and I can honestly say the filling I just got with Dr Fletcher was the most pleasant dental experience I’ve ever had. The team was so kind and patient with me, explained everything, checked in often. I felt like I could pause if I needed to, but didn’t even have to. I can’t even believe that I’m reviewing a dental practice, much less giving it 5 stars, but here it is. Truly. Go. And no, I didn’t opt for the nitrous offered so I’m not high writing this. I am, however, still numb cuz it didn’t hurt a bit!

If not for the orthodontal services, I would give this clinic 5 stars. Dr. Fletcher is a wonderful dentist who is able to fix any dental problem. He is caring to everyone; me and my kids were his patients for several years and never had any issues with his treatment. The problem is the orthodontal clinic that is appearing and disappearing at random days; its not always there. They will make you sign some bogus contract and then harass you over it. They will want the money before they even give you the braces. Be very careful with their orthodontists. My son had a really bad experience there. They gave him a thumb crib that did nothing other than hurt him. That also damaged his teeth and they fell out when he was 9, even though Dr. Mattis said they will fall out when hes 12. The new orthodontist, Dr. Cousin said that my son needed a therapist to help with his damaging habit and there was no need for the thumb crib. However Im still being harassed with a $3000 bill.

They have really helped me get my teeth fixed they are nice, not judgemental or pushy. I also love the office manager!♡♡♡ I cant thank them enough for helping me!! I went there because it was close but Id travel to get there!!

This office is simply too busy to adequately care for anyone. If they/you need to reschedule, they won’t have openings for literal months, and sometimes during visits they do not have enough time to complete everything you need, so there is need for another visit. I’ve never experienced this with another dental office. They also are not helpful with fulfilling their own recommendations, I’ve asked on multiple visits about the night guard they said I should get and never got a follow up.Do yourself a favor and find a dentist who has the appropriate time for you. This office only cares about maximizing their profits, not your care.

Dr. Fletcher does exceptional work and keeps me comfortable with my sensitivity. I no longer have high anxiety going to the dentist. It used to be so bad I wouldn’t go and paid a price for that.All of the techs are super friendly and know what they are doing. The office manager Tress is super fun and handles the financial part well. I enjoy going there and I highly recommend this place.

Jhef the hygienist is great for squeamish people like me. He had the gentlest touch and made what could have been very unpleasant very tolerable. The staff at this place are so caring and take such good care of you. Natalie will bend over backwards to get you scheduled in what is understandably a busy practice.

Gentle Dental on Broadway exceeded our expectations big time. My boyfriend has been going for a few months preparing for a partial denture on bottom and full on top....I didnt even know they did this service? Natalie the office manager is an amazing support with kindness, knowledge, patience and truly caring about the people that come in. She explained the process multiple times to us since we knew nothing about dentures and helped with the anxiety my boyfriend had over this this long overdue procedure. Everyone was professional from the front desk to.the dentists. Visiting the dentist can be scary especially in Covid and they were on it with temp taking and sanitation. I/we would recommend to everyone who needs this type of work done or smalller jobs. The boyfriend was embarrassed about his teeth and they treated him with the respect and dignity he deserved with no judgement. He hasnt stopped smiling and looks so amazing and natural. Dr Fletcher made my appointment the most positive dentist experience I’ve ever had. I was incredibly nervous to come in for gum cleaning, and am very uneasy around shots, especially in my mouth. Dr Fletcher knew that I was nervous and was so incredibly kind and caring when he was working with me and made me feel like my comfort and experience truly mattered to him. I would 12/10 recommend this office because of him! Thank you so much!

They attempted to over charge me over $4,000. I recommend anybody having significant work done to verify their pricing with their insurance company. My estimate went from nearly $6,000 to under $2,000. They left a lot of patients high and dry and didnt reach out and provide alternatives to their patients who needed care after they shut their doors for covid. If you have an insurance plan that requires everything to go through your home dentist as I did, this can over complicate things immensely. They definately need to get their office in order.

First appointment, scheduled easily over the phone with clear-spoken, receptionist. The hygienist introduced himself and explained the sequence for my appointment. AfterDr. Fletcher came in, introduced himself and went over my Med history, the hygienist executed the X-rays quickly, speaking encouragingly throughout. The digital X-rays appeared on a screen in front of me. Dr. Fletcher returned to review the X-rays and check the fillings and gums in my mouth. His procedure was systemic, and the hygienist documented carefully. Dr. Fletcher showed me the things he saw, pointing to the X-rays. I was taken to the front desk where I received a print-out of the recommended treatments, complete with estimated costs, insurance coverage and estimated cost to me. I was able to schedule the treatment within a few weeks despite the holidays.(The only reason I took off a star, is my preference for completing med history ahead of appointments using a keyboard, instead of trying to remember it on the spot in the waiting room.)

To call Dr. Fletcher amazing would be an understatement. He is an artist with an acute eye for detail and extremely sympathetic to boot. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone. The staff working here also exceeded my expectations, you can tell they know and trust each other very much, which says a lot about the quality of the people behind the curtains.Tl;dr I always leave with a smile on my face, Im sure you will too.

Been coming here now for 2 years for routine dental care (cleanings, x-rays, etc) and have been very happy with my experience.The staff is friendly, professional and accommodating. (Danny at the front desk is awesome!)I have had the same dental hygienist, Angela, each time and she is great! It is nice to have the continuity.Fortunately have not required any dental procedures, but from what I can tell, the dentists are professional and well trained.Great place!

The hygienists and dentists are all VERY friendly and knowledgeable. They do a great job of making you feel comfortable and educated about your oral hygiene. Biggest shout out to Danny for his outstanding warmth, friendliness and customer service. He’s a great first person to see when you walk in and a great chit chat on your way out! ***Update as of January 18th 2021.***Natalie Shaw, calls me from their office to chat about an invoice and states if I dont return her phone call then she will send my bill to collections. Not knowing whats going on I call back at 4:11pm, as the office is closed at 4pm. Very nice played Gentle Dental. I do have the voicemail saved and will be considering legal action for your unprofessional services. Since youre doing this kind of tricks because of a bad review, then this can be settled in a different way.They have extremely poor communication and business practices. Dr. Matthys was providing my ortho treatment, but after spending over $3,000 the results are not what I expected them to be. Every visit I had to point out certain things that were bothering me with the alignment of my teeth, but they were not address. She is not a good orthodontist at all. I was due to get my aligners in March before the pandemic started, and was promised an appointment to get those after they opened, well here we are August 5th, several months later, my teeth have shifted, the office does not respond to my call nor they care. On top of that Dr. Muller & Dr. Fletcher did an extremely poor job fitting a crown that not only looks like a square piece of concrete but it also caused discomfort for months. I had to see a different dental practice that was able to fix the crown and showed care about their patients well being. I never knew they would treat a long time patient with silence for no reason. This office wasted 3 years of ortho treatment with little to no results at all, I am extremely disappointed.

Unfortunately Ive been to the dentist many times in my life. Over the last 4 years my teeth have gone from crooked and full of cavities to straight and clean. The ortho team, the dental hygienists, and Dr. Fletcher are all true professionals who always greet you with a smile of their own. Another special shout out goes to Danny, who expertly manages the front desk, and is always a bright spot in my day at the dentist.

Dr. Fletcher is very thorough and caring. I have yet to receive anything less than top notch service from the staff at Gentle Dental and unlike most dental offices they always keep you in the loop re the cost of each procedure while working to keep it to a minimum. I have been a patient at Gentle Dental for over 4 years now and I wouldnt go anywhere else.

Best dentist appointment ever, which is a weird statement. Everyone is super friendly in a sincere way. Dr. Fletcher personally cleaned my teeth (usually the hygienist does) because he told him to take the morning off and likes the opportunity to get to know his new patients. He was very understanding when I requested limited x rays. They use a hydro-jet cleaning method instead of the classic scraping, which feels so much better and is very time-saving. If I wasnt moving, I would go out of my way to make my next appointment here!

I used to start sweating about 3 days before my dentist appointments as I USED to have an extreme fear of any dental work.Gentle Dental is very, very upbeat and friendly, totally capable and up on the latest techniques and equipment, and above all, they really are GENTLE!For me, no more gas to get through a cleaning, no more sweating, no more cancelling last minute out of fear.I still have my irrational fear, but I know now that when I go to Dr. Fletcher and his staff that I am going to be fine.I cannot recommend the Capital Hill office enough -- from reception to service to special consultations to accounting --its all professional, friendly, and fair.Update: I recently had gum grafts by Dr. Buddula and his assistant Brian: they are equally professional and very friendly and cordial. Dr. B even gives you his cell number in case of problems: and he answered! He and Brian took great care of me! Im sticking with Gentle Dental!

Over charged without explanation. Was hopeful that this would be a convenient place to go, but now realizing the front office is way too scattered to offer decent costumer service. If you have the option to try a different dental health provider, then I highly suggest it. Really.

Honestly, my whole experience here was great. Every staff member I interacted with was extremely professional and sincerely KIND and polite. The experience of going to the dentist is something many people fear, but at this place, theres nothing to worry about. Dr. Fletcher and his staff are truly some of the best in the field of dentistry. I have had everything from cleanings and fillings to crowns and an Invisalign consult and have felt ZERO pain. Additionally, the rates are very affordable and the work is impeccable. I always have a great experience when I go to this dentist office. And the dentist himself is absolutely amazing. Another dentist from the East Coast had done some dental work that incorrectly and he fixed it in such a short amount of time with no pain. And now I feel great.

I had a very disappointing experience with this office this past week. We spent a lot of time finding an office in our insurance plan that had both general dentistry and an endodontist because we knew my partner needed a root canal, and we picked this clinic for that reason after the receptionist explained all the work could be done there. Then after the dentists there did half of a cleaning, we learned that they no longer had an endodontist. They offered to find us one at one of their other locations. For reasons we dont understand they ended up having no access to endodontists at other Gentle Dental locations. So we are on our own again finding another dentist to step in to finish this work, even though the dentist at Gentle Dental who examined my partner indicated the work needed to be done in the next week or two. It was also disappointing that the next available appointment to finish the cleaning was more than two months out. Finally, the billing we received was unintelligible to an ordinary person, and the office was not able to provide estimates for the cost of the remaining care until it was actually coded by the person doing the work--too late to comparison shop. All this amounts to poor care overall and a seemingly disorganized business.

Extraordinarily pleasant service, reasonable prices, and a convenient location. Im always especially impressed by Jhefs cleanings, and Dr. Fletcher provides insightful and compassionate care. Best dentist Ive ever had!

I visited Dr. Fletcher for the first time in the fall after moving to Seattle. He took x-rays and told me that I had 9 cavities and scheduled 4 different appointment to get them all filled. I was surprised, since Id never had more than one cavity at a time before, and my teeth didnt really hurt, but I figured he knew what he was talking about.I got a second opinion from a dentist my coworker recommended, and he found NO cavities. That means that I would have spent over $800 (after insurance) for pretty much nothing.Everyone at Gentle Dental was extremely nice, and the facilities were fine, but I would highly recommend getting a second opinion before getting any work done besides a general cleaning.UPDATE: Two years later and still not one cavity or pain at all!

I go here for regular dental care and Invisalign orthodontics. The dental care here is above and beyond anything I’ve experienced before. Every time I go for cleaning, they rate the gums by each tooth and put it in my chart. My gum health has improved greatly. I’ve also had tooth whitening there and am very happy with the results. My teeth are much straighter and my bite is better after months of Invisalign treatment. Dr. Fletcher, Dr. Matthys, the dental assistants and all the staff are wonderful.

AWFUL scheduling!! I scheduled two appointments over a month out over the phone, received a confirmation email, for a different day/time combo, called during business hours and got kicked to voice mail so I left a message and never heard back, so I walked in for the appointment they sent me a confirmation email and I confirmed, only to be told I didnt have one! Im going to a different dentist that can get their scheduling books in order, because rearranging my entire day around an appointment they told me I had, only to be turned away because they were too busy is not how I wanted to spend my Saturday.

Everyone at Gentle Dental was very nice as was the facility, but they would not stop trying to strongarm me into services I did not need. They tried to convince me that I had all sorts of problems and my teeth needed deep cleanings that would have cost me hundreds and hundreds of dollars. I declined and got a second opinion and guess what? One cavity. Gentle dental will lie to you about your health for money. Dont go there.

My experience with Dr. Fletcher was abysmal. I have never experienced anything like what I went through.The the person assisting Dr. Fletcher was awesome and front office staff is very friendly and accommodating. Like other reviewers, Dr. Fletcher saw 8 or 9 cavities on the initial visit. For this particular visit, I had to have 3 filled. The doctor numbed my gums. After waiting for the anesthetic to kick in, someone from the front office motioned to the doctor that someone he was expecting had arrived. The doctor left and stated that he had another patient that required his attention. 30 minutes later, with no apology from the doctor, he proceeds to start drilling. The anesthetic had begun to wear off. I could feel the drill almost immediately. He shot more novacane into my gums. Began drilling again. I could still feel the drill; he did not allow the same time to pass, as he initially did, before drilling. I still felt pain. He put more novacane into my gums. After finishing, and still with no explanation or apology, I left the room, paid my balance, and left the office. The person helping the dentist was apologetic but Dr. Fletcher was not. My appointment was at 10AM, I left at around 12:30; however, the numbness did not wear off until well into the next morning. I will not be coming back to this location and will definitely not be recommending anyone visit Dr. Fletcher.

Go anywhere else. My significant other was in agony for over a week with an absessed tooth because these people couldnt be bothered to answer the phone or return calls after numerous messages. Fed up, we went in on Saturday as soon as they were supposed to open, and lo and behold they decided to take the day off. They were friendly enough at the initial appointment but they really couldnt care less about their patients. We ended up going to 8-to-8 dental that day and the dentist there, even though he was booked solid that day, made time to see my significant other. Those folks really do care. Not to mention their procedures are so much less expensive.

Any negative reviews about Dr. Fletcher are false. Best dentist in town ! The most brilliant work I’ve had done . Thanks !

After my follow up of deep cleaning there, I am experiencing the greatest pain from my tooth and mouth ever in my life for about a week right now. And the hygienist told me it was ok during the follow-up.

My first visit with Dr. Fletcher was great! I need to have a lot of work done and I was embarrased to go in at all, but the staff put me at ease and treated me without judgement and lectures. He was concerned about my anxiety and took the time to talk to me after the appointment answering all my questions. We decided on a plan of care together pinpointing the most urgent issues putting me at ease. A BIG thank you to all the staff I met there! If my care continues this way I will definitely refer family and friends. =)

Absolute terrible service. I had an appointment scheduled to get my braces looked at. I scheduled it in person at the end of my previous appointment. But when i called, about a week prior to scheduled appointment, to ask them a question, they said that my next appointment was scheduled to be in capitol hill. I did not schedule it for capitol hill because i live in lakeland hills and have no desire to drive to seattle during rush hour when i can go the the lakeland hills location like i have the past 8 times. Also one of my fist appointments i scheduled, they put my name in completely wrong, not even close to what my name is, which was annoying but didnt think much of it until this kind of stuff kept happening. I also called about a week before this capital hill appointment so see if a doctor can look at a problem that has started in my mouth and the lady i talked to put me on hold, got back and said Yeah the lakeland location must be closed today, its just ringing and ringing for some reason soooo I guess i can leave a message and have them get back to you? They never got back to me, went online and looked at their hours and it was 1pm on a Wednesday and they were not closed. You would think they would know the hours of their own locations, not just assume they are closed and hang up. I would never recommend going to a Gentle Dental to anyone, cant seem to get anything right. Nothing but issues trying to get appointments scheduled. On a better note, the lady that i talked to today in lakeland hills was very apologetic on her co worked behalf for messing it up and made sure to reschedule with her in the future which i will do. As soon as im done with this invisalign I will never go back to Gentle Dental.
