I went here for about 7 years because of my proximity to the location, and felt like it was just okay. I thought it was a little off that I had so many cavities all the time, but after reading their reviews, realized I was not alone in this experience. I also had a cavity that was not fixed correctly and ultimately needed a crown - I was giving them the benefit of the doubt as they had said it was a difficult spot to really fix. However, realizing that this was not the norm, I decided to go elsewhere and realized that I had been going somewhere that was not looking out for any prevention, and only treating the end result and not helping me with my ongoing dental health. The past couple of years have also been a struggle with records after they had issues with their computers where records disappeared and I had to remind them of what had been done previously - ever since then information has disappeared with regards to insurance and billing intermittently and Ive received random invoice emails that should have been taken care of. The dentist had even forgotten that she had done a root canal on one of my teeth about 5 years earlier - which was my final straw. The hygienists have always been pretty good to work with, but did realize there is lots of turnover.Ive since left, and realized that I could have been having a more positive experience. My mistake for not realizing sooner...

Where to begin. I very rarely do google reviews but I had to make an exception this time. From my experience, this practice is poorly run & have frequent turnovers of managers & staff due to that reason. Record keeping & billing is also problematic. Please save yourself some stress & headache and find another dental practice that is responsive, transparent & communicates with their clients well. Otherwise, make sure you get a complete copy of your treatment plan that shows exactly how much your copay is & keep all of your receipts. It is a good idea to request pre-authorization from your dental insurance first before doing any major procedures especially if it will cost a lot. This dental practice took so long to submit the necessary dental records to my dental insurance to justify a certain claim, that my insurance was trying to bill us the entire cost of the procedure. They have requested the records multiple times & I had to call this dental office & my dental insurance back & forth just to make sure that it is taken cared of. I didnt need to do all of this in any of my previous & current dental office.I am just glad I dont go there anymore. I hope this review will help future clients thinking of going there & also a way for this dental practice to improve in the future.

Wonderful dentists and they are so very good. I had 12 fillings and a deep clean without a trace of pain. It was like a beautiful beach vacation with a margarita as I sat there looking at the colorful artwork on the wall.I now have beautiful white white teeth and a super healthy smile. You need to go there from now on:-)

I have been a patient here for 19 years, and missed going during the worst of the pandemic. It was a wonderful experience to come back yesterday; felt safe in the office (no one else there but the staff), and as always, cared for by Dr. Harvey. She is an amazing soul

Ive been going to Dr. Harvey and her team for over a decade - weve been through a lot of dental work together! She and her team provide top-notch, compassionate care. Her recommendations are holistic, based on what will be best for my teeth and me as a patient in the long run, rather than whatever service is the trendiest or most expensive. Everyone is very friendly and helpful, and foster an atmosphere of family. Im a bit of an outlier, since Ive always kind of enjoyed going to the dentist (cant beat that clean-teeth feeling) - but its because of places like this!

Completely disorganized office. Can feel the franticness when you’re in the chair and the stress to get people in and out. Frequently long waits in office and a new front desk people every time. Have had the wrong side of my mouth numbed twice and a tool break in my mouth. Also have had many cavities called out and when I finally left and met with new dentist at a new office, it was not the case at all. Would not recommend. There are much better dentist offices out there.

Wish I could give 0/5 stars. Please avoid if you can. Got two cavities filled in December 2020, one of them continued to have nerve pain/ pain with heat and cold for a month afterwards. Called to see if they could help, went in and they filed down the tooth and said if the pain is still there in two weeks come back. I went through this cycle of filing and waiting 4 different times, getting charged for X-rays every time I went in. I still have not had this tooth fixed.Went in last week to get two cavities on the other side filled, tooth 15 and 18. Was told my painful tooth would also get fixed that appointment and it didn’t. Upon leaving I looked in my mouth and the wrong tooth had been filled (tooth 17 instead of 18). No idea how this mistake was made, since 17 is a wisdom tooth and I am planning on having them removed. I had a feeling they may try to claim they were always going to do tooth 17, so I got all of the paperwork/statements emailed to me stating it was tooth 18 that needed filling/got filled. So today I go in for a consult appointment with Dr. Mahvash Khajavi-Harvey to actually verify the wrong molar had been filled. When I showed her the teeth she said that 18 didn’t have a cavity at all (which she claimed there was claimed in December), that 17 did have a cavity, then stated that the front desk must have written the wrong tooth down on my paperwork. When I said I never wanted my wisdom teeth filled, she immediately said I could have a refund (why offer a refund if you did the correct tooth?) and that if she had time right then she would redo my painful tooth. She quickly left the room and 3 minutes later one of the techs came in and said “oh sorry we don’t have time today.” Left the office today with no apology and no plan moving forward. Other small annoyances with this place have been never being brought back on time, and once they actually just straight up cancelled my appointment while I was in the waiting room because they didn’t have time for me that day, blaming it on computer issues. Never coming here again.

Went here for a couple years because I lived nearby and had bad experiences on a regular basis. Frequently long waits upon checking in or waiting for the dentist after seeing the hygienist. Both my partner and I experienced having the wrong side of our mouth numbed prior to receiving a filling. They were always telling me I had 3+ cavities every time I went. After going to new dentist I learned this was not the case.First time reviewing anything on google, but I hope it helps someone avoid a similar experience.

SCAM. HIPAA violations. ASK FOR A SECOND OPINION. They nearly drilled into half my teeth (I had ONE cavity), the billing lady violated my HIPAA rights multiple times by refusing to give me my patient file and loudly claimed that I was being unusual and made a scene for me asking for my XRays, and almost scammed me out of +$3000. My new dentist was horrified to discover that they recommended 14 unnecessary fillings (yeah, you read that right), an extremely dangerous, invasive, and completely unnecessary wisdom tooth extraction (Id already gotten it looked at by a competent surgeon who said it would be irresponsible of him to extract a tooth so close to my nasal cavity that wasnt impacting anything so it was all risk no benefit), and their refusal to give me my patient file (thats your legal right as a patient btw). I still dont have it lol. Moral dubiousness, negligence, and flagrant disregard for the patient. This isnt just about the money. Im not a shark that infinitely re-grows teeth. I feel utterly violated that Dr. Harvey would use her license to scam people. The billing lady also violates HIPAA with every patient. She discusses payment, the procedure, payment plans, patient full name right in the lobby so everyone can hear exactly what procedure you got that day. (Also, whats the point of getting a patient treatment plan AFTER you procedure? No informed consent.)Hoping that others avoid my awful experience.Switched to Banner Dental and their professionalism and transparency is night and day.

DO NOT go to see Dr. Harvey at Fremont Family Dentistry and DO get a second opinion. Check Yelp reviews for a better representation. Im saddened to see that other patients have had good experiences, where I am still trying to work through issues with them after completing Invisalign treatment 6 months ago. Their billing practices are skeptical and the least transparent I have experienced with a dentist (boy did I miss my regular dentist through all of this and Im happy I had a positive point of reference). In comparison to other reviewers, I had to do all the calling and checking with my insurance company, so not sure what that patient had experienced. Dr. Harvey and the entire staff are not trained to administer Invisalign treatment, per a second opinion I received afterward. I was also overcharged for the whole process, at $6500 for 4 months of Invisalign treatment, where there are specialists in the area that will do this for much less, which I now know. On multiple occasions, I have had to outline all of the payments that I have made so they know what I owed, because they have horrible record keeping. Even after all of that, they are randomly charging my credit card now. I cant stop feeling like Im being scammed. I cant imagine that they arent taking advantage of patients who may be less aware. As a side note, I was REFUSED a retainer at the end of treatment, which was supposed to be included. It took 3 months of arguing with their office to finally get one. But only after wearing my final tray for 3 months, which eventually broke and didnt hold my teeth in place. Needless to say, the final result did not turn out great. Save yourself and see someone else. I promise, there are much better dentists out there.

My other half and I went in to get a regular cleaning and they said we each had over 3 cavities that needed attention. We were a little skeptical since we haven’t had cavities in years, but we allowed them to fill them a few months ago. Our teeth still hurt where the fillings were and we both think they just wanted to make money off of us because we were new to Seattle. I would highly recommend to stay away from this practice and find an honest dentist who has your interests in you and not just making money off of you.

STAY AWAY from this place! I trusted them and Im still in pain after more than a year. They performed an expensive crown lengthening that I did not need, they placed a crown on it and there was a gap between the crown and the gum tissue. They said it was normal. It looks awful and it still hurts. On top of that I had to go back several times because they overcharged me. Thankfully I was careful enough to notice it, and eventually they give me back the extra money I paid. Dont waste your time and find a good dentist.

So you have extreme dentist fear? Then this is the place to go. I am a grown ass woman who, after making an appointment for a deep cleaning was shaking and sweating and even attempted to cancel my appointment. The women who work in the office are incredibly patient and empathetic. After a Valium, a playlist and a stress ball, I was barely able to get through the local anesthesia. The hygienist even held my hand and they kept reassuring me through the process, in a totally non condescending way. Ashley was very professional and gentle. Im telling you guys I was CRYING in the chair based on past traumatic experiences, and I dont think I could have gotten through it at another practice. I highly recommend them, especially for folks with dental phobia.

I have been coming to Fremont Family Dentistry for almost two years, and I could not be happier. Dr. Harvey is great and the staff are so friendly and helpful. I had gum disease when I first came to Fremont Family Dentistry, and I didnt even know it. Jen is the most amazing hygienist Ive ever had work on my teeth. With her help, my gums are healthier than theyve been in 20 years. I see her every 3 months, and I actually look forward to having my teeth cleaned. My whole family has been going to Dr. Harvey and her team for about six years, and I cant recommend them enough. After moving to the east side last year, I thought we should find a dentist closer to home, but after going to another appointment, I was again reminded why we make the trek across the bridge. The staff is always helpful and patient, even when I show up with all three noisy kids in tow. The hygienist that usually works on out teeth is incredible. She has taken my squirrely, dental phobic kids (after being scared by previous dentists) and turned them into kids that can calmly sit still and have their teeth cleaning, x-rays, and exams done. She is patient, kind, and listens carefully to each of them, as does all the rest of the staff weve encountered.Dr. Harvey herself has done lots of work on all of us, and she has been amazing about working with my autistic kiddo especially. Shes always listened carefully to all my concerns and questions, and has graciously helped us out when we needed it.Parking is a little dicey (there isnt much of it), and the waiting room is tiny and shared with the doctors office side of the business. I cant recommend this place highly enough though. Well still be going to Dr. Harvey, Jen, and the rest of the crew until we move too far away to make to commute!
