Really the only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is that things are hard to find.

Who doesn’t stop by the pike place market if you are in Seattle. If you are worry about parking, across the market, there is a target. Free 2 hours parking once you purchase $20. Very touristy, but super fun place to visit while in town. Fish throwing is a great experience, but its been different since Covid. I had the best fish tacos of my life here! Just know that everything closes early during the week, including the bathrooms. First Starbucks always has a long line, so I suggest getting your picture in front of Starbucks and getting coffee from another cute local coffee shop. There is a fun one directly down the stairs on your way to bubblegum alley.

This was my second visit to the Pike Place Market in 5 years, and it did disappoint. We arrived on a Saturday around 11:30am and by that time parking was few and far between. We drove around for about 30 minutes before we finally found somewhere to park. I’d highly recommend parking several blocks away from the market, as closer parking to the Market is extremely expensive. We saw parking as high as $45 across the street from the Market. We ended up parking a few blocks down for $12.It was a nice partially sunny day in Seattle, so the Market was very crowded. There is an awesome variety of stores, and you could literally spend all day here window shopping, eating, and buying some unique finds. The Pike Place Fish Market had a lot of fresh fish, and if you stick around long enough, you can see the workers toss the fish back and forth behind the counter. There were lots of bakeries that offered unique baked goods such as Cinnamon twist donuts, Texas sized Apple Fritters, Chocolate Chip Cream Cheese Cinnamon Rolls, Raspberry Bear-Claws, and more. The Flower shops sold a nice variety of fresh cut fall flowers, and eatery’s had staff standing near offering some tasty samples. If you are a fan of Art, there are tons of art stores that sold individual art pieces. Jewelry stores in the market sold everything from Native Indian works, Sterling silver, beaded jewelry, hand-crafted jewelry, and more. There was even a store that sold comic books and rare trading cards. I’m sure they have just about everything you’re looking for in this Market. The bathrooms were very clean; however, I was not a fan of the ½ sized doors on the bathroom stalls in the ladies room. If you like Starbucks, the original Starbucks store is here in the market as well. The line to go inside of the Starbucks was about 50+ people long on my visit, so we opted to skip it. They also have the famous GUM wall here as well. I am a bit of a germaphobe so I looked at the wall from a distance. My kids found it entertaining though. We spent roughly 3 hours at the Market just window shopping and exploring, and for the first time in history my 9yo son was not bored once.If you plan on buying anything at the market, I’d highly recommend bringing both cash and credit card with you. Some vendors will not take cash due to Covid, while other vendors will take credit cards, but they will also charge you a service fee on top of your purchase for using your credit card.I highly recommend a trip to the Market if you’re in the Seattle area. It’s definitely a unique experience you won’t find anywhere else.

Located a block off the waterfront, this place offers dozens and dozens of seafood markets, stores, flower shops and scores of other vendors. About 3 floors worth...Lots of happenings going down here. Despite the beauty though. I was actually afraid. The crowd here was huge, close together, 99% masked but man...still scary. I was scheduled to get my Vax once I got home and didnt need to get sick that close to the goal. If you want to get out of the crowd, do what we did- Walk across the parking structure behind the place, go downstairs and cross the street toward the piers and Seattle Aquarium. You will also find shopping and dining in the open air right on the water. No COVID anxiety. There are cruise ships headed to Alaska parked right there with really fun people with interesting energy.

This place is very fishy so if you hate seafood id probably avoid lol the atmosphere is one of a kind and really resembles an old fisherman’s town. Plenty of places to explore, eat and shop. You can get lost very easily if you’re not careful though it may not be such a bad thing as you can find vintage stores and interesting people float around.
