Terrible initial call with this practice. They sent me a confidential survey asking for a brief explanation of the situation. I provided a response as wanting to get help on being able to trust more and have better long term relationship. However, at the very beginning of the 1st phone call, the consultant said we are treating for depression, right? I said no, not depression. She said shes been seeing many patients and mixed up. I totally understand, though she should not have asked that so quickly if she was not sure. During the call, she does not appear to show any empathy at all, and just wanted to place me in a mental disorder category and write me a diagnosis for my insurance to cover the sessions. Also, she had many other questions. I was shocked by the way she was talking and went silent for a bit without knowing how to react, she kept on saying hello, hello, can you hear me... I felt totally disconnected with her.

This community is very helpful and nice kindly mostly the people working there they are very kind and helpful Is personaliy same and nedly thank you so much for everything I dont have a word to say thank youfor all this community ....thank you for helping me to chenge my life ...

Beautiful community facility offering counseling, case management, food bank, job seeking, pharmacy, cafeteria, and a variety of classes including fitness, dancing, and art (and probably more services Im not aware of). Serving all populations, not just Asian. Remarkable art throughout the facility. Main parking lot and secondary lot across the street.

I dont wanna talk bad about any company or business or treatment center. But I had the worst experience with one of the housing case managers (Rae)! In my opinion, he doesnt have what it takes to be a housing case manager! He made an appointment with me, and never showed up! I left several messages in 4 or 5 days but never returned my calls! he didnt return my call until I talked to his supervisor named Kelly. He pretended like nothing happened, didnt even apologize! Basically, they both didnt want anymore caseloads! If thats the case I understand but I couldnt understand why he kept blowing me off! Whats the point of making an appointment if youre not gonna show up? Wow!It happened between Dec. 2019 to Jan. 2020.

It’s good to have the organization for those who need help and services provided, but I don’t one thing that is very frustrated when we need to communicate with the staff. Almost never answered the phone, I don’t know what is an issue.

I debated writing this review quite a bit, but I’m still seething. I don’t know where else to put this. I don’t want to make a formal complaint either due to what I’ve heard from others who made complaints about therapists whose actions weren’t clearly wrong.I am a second-generation Vietnamese-American. I am twenty years old and mentally ill. I’ve had trouble holding down a job and staying in school. I had a difficult childhood and have been mentally ill for several years.I went to therapy for two years before coming to ACRS. I improved quite a bit, but I was on medication that I needed to get off of. This was why I went to ACRS (my previous place stopped offering medication management for ‘minor’ cases). I planned on leaving after I had tapered off my medication, which is why I allowed these things to happen for so long.I kept telling myself that it would be a hassle to change. Please keep this in mind as you read this.My case manager often scolded me and was openly disapproving. Therapists can’t express approval or disapproval of their clients. They are only human, so it happens from time to time, but she’d regularly say “you can’t spend your time doing x” or “you need to do x”. My relatives got me to apply for SSI in the past and it was an ongoing case. I kept stating I wanted to drop it, but she kept telling me to leave it open.My first therapist said that a therapist can only teach a client how to fish; they can’t catch fish for them or feed them.I still tried my best to explain my intense trauma, and she would chalk it up to Vietnamese culture.She would tell me that my mother was a good mother. Therapists need to remain neutral.She was often aggressive. I would tell her anecdotes about my friends when they were relevant to our discussion, but she thought that I was worried about that happening to me and scolded me. I was too timid to try to clarify.At another point, she told me, “You cannot come to your appointments to only talk about your week.” She also told me, “You need clear goals for your therapy or you will get assigned a new case manager.” (This is exactly what she said, I found a text I sent to my friend immediately after the session).Some people only go to therapy to talk.Once I talked about switching from Seattle to the Kent location with a new case manager after I tapered off my medication. I was told at my intake that Kent only had a doctor once a week, so I chose Seattle even though it was further away. I asked to switch because my mother wanted me to remain in therapy.She told me as soon as I asked that Kent didn’t have mental health services and only has classes. I found out later, through the Department of Health website, that they do. They just don’t have substance use or pathological gambling services. I still wonder if she intentionally lied to me to keep a client or she genuinely didn’t know.After I was groped by someone I trusted, I felt as though she was blaming me for what happened. It’s very murky because it was traumatizing but I remember her asking “why didn’t you…” or “why did you…”She also didn’t understand that treatment is not one size fits all. At one point she said, “You aren’t making any effort to improve, why don’t you do what I suggest?”Every appointment I had with her I left feeling worse. I dreaded going.She constantly questioned why I was so obedient to my mother. I’m financially dependent due to mental illness and also scared of her.After tapering off, I had one last appointment with the doctor, but the agency closed due to Covid-19. She kept checking in. Quarantine played a part in making my mental health deteriorate. I soon begged my mom to let me drop her and when she wouldn’t, I went to my sister, whom my mother trusted more.Please be careful. Many clients who go here can’t speak English and don’t know what good therapy is. After all, therapy is still highly stigmatized in Asian countries and not often spoken about openly. They will think this is fine.

This is an absolutely horrible place. Theyve called and sent me text messages (robo texts), yet I have NEVER used their services, called them or visited their website or even knew this place existed until they continually harassed me with unwanted text messages in the past month. I asked to be removed from their contact list 3 times, blocked the number which contacted me, yet I continue to receive messages from a number I havent blocked. Be wary if you actually intend to use their services. Spamming me does not endear me to your services.

Job Club on Tuesdays is useless. Before they leave you on your own to find jobs, there is a brief lecture on etiquette, etc...I dont need to hear that, Im not in school! Im not there for a lecture! After their etiquette lecture, the case managers & employment specialists just leave you at the computer, while you look for jobs. What a waste because ppl. with computers can do that at home! Case managers and employment specialists dont have any suggestions & are not even helpful or useful. They do not provide you the resources for a career. Also, some case managers get a little impatient with you.

I want to address a review on here about how if your not Asian this place will not help you. My suggestion? Give ACRS another chance because they help me & Im not Asian. Another suggestion is you have to know what you want and state that specifically, if one person doesnt seem helpful then ask for someone else because then that is the only way that you will get anywhere. If the staff seem abrupt dont take it personally they have a tough job, I know because Ive worked front desk, answered phones. But ACRS is a great place so dont write them off. Try again.

Mai P. Bui was not a good case manager, she is unhelpful. She should not show off her experiences to those who are unexperienced. It makes the unexperienced feel worthless. All the other case managers at job club arent helpful either.

This is a terrible facility. I had an appointment scheduled, and they failed to call me to notify me that the intake person was out sick. The receptionist said I could be seen in an hour, so I waited around only to be told I couldnt be seen. Furthermore, the intensive outpatient program is a joke. The material consists of PowerPoint presentations on different classes of drugs and their effects. The instructors show up late and the claseses never begin on time. To make things worse, there are numerous translators in the classes, so there are several different languages being spoken all at once. Needless to say, this is very distracting.Bottom line: dont waste your time here unless you absolutely have to.
