The Dr. Sacarin Listening Center is an amazing place. I worked with children within the center for a few years and I saw so many beautiful transformations. Some examples - I saw multiple children who had very little emotional regulation slowly develop the ability to self-regulate. I witnessed children begin to relate to others pain who could not before. I witnessed children have improved balance issues, improved confidence, improved learning, and make more eye contact. I also spoke to multiple parents who were in tears of gratitude for this work, one told me that their child had begun speaking who had not before. Every positive improvement (no matter how small or big) will deeply impact children throughout their lifespan. I am truly grateful for the time I got to work with Dr. Liliana Sacarin, she is a truly gifted clinician.

I had the opportunity to work with Dr. Sacarin at her center for several years and I highly recommend her and the work she does. She is profession, compassionate, and devoted to helping people. In my capacity, I mostly saw her work with children who had autism, down syndrome, learning disabilities and trauma. The positive results were incredible and life changing for those individuals. I remember one child in particular who came as highly autistic, nearly non-verbal 5 -year-old. By the end of the program I witnessed the child look up, point to a toy and say I want that toy. It made the mother cry because this child had never said a sentence like that before. I would not hesitate to send my own child to her or to go to her as an adult myself if the circumstance granted it.

Dr. Sacarin is a much esteemed colleague whom I met at a conference in Switzerland. She was giving a lecture on the effectiveness of listening therapy on clients with cochlear implants. On a phone, she explained one thing, when we started the therapy it was another thing... She was trying to make my son put headphones on by forcing him and holding. He was screaming and crying there so bad. Just made it worth. He stopped trusting me and had just bad experience. Wouldnt recommend this place. Our family traveled across the country to have our young son - diagnosed with mild ASD - work with Dr. Sacarin. A physician referred us to her clinic, given her long experience with young children on the Spectrum. Dr. Sacarin and her staff were extremely caring. We learned a lot more than expected and our sons abilty to interact and communicate has improved considerably already after the first sequence of treatment and consulting with her. She has unparalleled expertise in treating children like our son, whether she uses family interaction, sound-processing or behavioral treatment approaches. She has been extremely generous with her time and did not charged our family for the tryal sessions which she offered to see if our son is ready to wear headphones. Our family is currently seeing Dr. Sacarin for Tomatis Listening Therapy for all of us and our son has just completed phase one.The Tomatis Method is an Educational Program that can help to improves motor, emotional and cognitive abilities, through music and language. We have also done iLS and the Safe and Sound Protocol, and saw improvement, but nothing drastic.Admittedly, I had reservations if Tomatis would offer anything as dramatic as what I had heard from so many families. We came on the recommendation of several other families and my sons school who had seen so much cognitive improvement in their students after seeing Dr. Sacarin. I am so thankful we took the leap as we are already amazed how much better our son is doing all around. He is so much calmer, able to focus, and so much less anxious and less sound sensitive, and more cooperative.
