Chantelle is a great cosmetologist. Dont expect to walk in and get in her chair unless youre lucky enough to time it with a canceled appt. She has women and men clients and does cuts and colors unlike some places that divide services between people. Shes personable and can carry on an intelligent conversation on many topics. She also has a sense of humor and an infectious laugh. Her prices are in line with industry standards for her level of expertise. That means her prices arent cheap but shes well worth it

Everyone is always super friendly. I get my waxings from Dannie and my hair cuts from Taylor. They are both fantastic and so fun to be with!Now with the pandemic going on, theyve been taking extreme precaution with every person walking through their door, making sure their employees and customers are safe!

Dannie made my dream come true. I now have eyebrows! After two bouts of cancer I havent had eyebrows since 1989. So wonderful to wake up with perfect ones! I have been looking for someone to tattoo them forever and would stop people on the street. LEAHA at Banfield Vet off Harvard Street in Capital Hill gave a great recommendation. A big hug to Dannie!!!!

This salon is a large open space with a cozy feel. The reception staff is always quick to help with politeness. Steven Barrett is a hair styling genius! From haircuts to highlights, he never disappoints. He is the best hair stylist Ive had in years & The Collage is always pleasant. I cant imagine going anywhere else for hair care in Seattle.

Jonathan is great with cut and color. Ive gone to him twice now and will keep doing so. He has years of experience, is personable, doesnt rush, does what you ask, but will also have good ideas if youre not sure what you want. The salon itself has a nice cozy ambiance, is clean, and has a friendly staff.

Sydney did an awesome job on my hair. We did a full foil. It took a while, but I knew that was going to happen since i have a ton of hair! I love how it turned out.

While I get my hair done elsewhere, the vibe here is great and they have a lot of talented people! I come here for facials with Dannie!! Ive seen Dannie for years and i used to work with her at Gene Juarez downtown back in the day. She is a genius at brows!!! Shes the only person i let touch my brows! She recently microbladed them for me and they are perfect!! I am thrilled!!! Ive gotten so many compliments. And my friends who Ive sent to her look amazing and are thrilled with their results too! She also gives fabulous facials - not only do her facials leave me glowing, but the experience is deeply relaxing and restorative. My favorite part of working with her, though, is that i get to work with her. She is light and bright, but also real and soulful and i treasure my time with her. I always leave looking and feeling like a million bucks. Shes a gem! Highly recommend!!!

Shannon Harris is an extraordinarily talented designer who has been my stylist for many years. Shes artistic and innovative, and really listens to what her clients want and makes it happen. I have a preference for short hair and, until I found Shannon, had a hard time getting the cut that I want. I can continue to be athletically active but can also look flirty and feminine and often get compliments about my cut. She also knows a lot about hair products and keeps current on whats on the market and what will work best for her different clients hair type and cut. I have recommended her to several friends and acquaintances who also love her work!! Additionally, the helpful and friendly staff at the Collage Salon make my trips there a pleasure!

I’ve been going to Jonathan for 11 years for my cut and color- he’s the best in Seattle! In all the years I’ve gone to him I’ve loved every single cut. He’s also given me great advice on how to keep my long, thick hair healthy (but doesn’t push products). Highly recommend.

I always come here for haircuts. I originally chose it because it was a 5-minute walk from my apartment, but Ive since moved out of the city and still go out of my way to get my hair cut there. I always book with Taylor and shes great! I dont have to be too specific with what I want and she always does a fantastic job. Everyone on the staff that Ive spoken to is very nice. They also have a great selection of products that Ive started buying regularly. Booking online is easy and they send you reminder texts. Cant recommend this place enough.

I think this place is just over hyped. Dont see anything really special of why this place is good. Wont recommend. Wont go again for sure.

Very foolish recording system. It is impossible to enroll in the procedure without a separate consultation. I asked to leave time after my consultation for my procedure (I knew exactly what I needed and what they could do) and they agreed. I arrived 10 minutes ahead of time, I wait, 25 minutes pass and the master has not yet been released. I asked to do it as soon as possible, because I do not have time and I need to make it exactly today and now. as a result, they took me half an hour later and the master did not have time left for my procedure. I did not do anything, but only advised !!! Because of them, I will remain without hair !! I would put 0 this salon, because 1 they are not worthy. nor foot more in this place

Sorry, but I asked for a certain style and I received a really bad hair cut by Jerry Tapia..I thought he would be able to do what I requested. My side bangs looks terrible and my hair is uneven.

I came in to have my roots touched up with Sydeny. My appointment was scheduled for 8am & I was instructed to show up 15 minutes early. When I arrived the salon was closed. I sat outside waiting to be let in, until another client arrived & called her stylist on their personal cell to let us in (this was after 8am). After being let into the salon, I sat and waited for them to finish setting up before they were ready to see me (meaning my appointment started closer to 8:30am). My service took about 3 hours (just for a root touch up). Then, I left with tiger stripes on the top of my head. You can see a very obvious line where the new highlights end (where Sydney tried to touch my roots up) and the old highlights start. I asked the owner, Lisa, for a partial refund and she declined. She explained that unless she saw my hair in person she could do nothing for me. I was very understanding of that being the normal policy but explained that I was out of town assisting family members post hurricane Michael, in Florida, and that I wouldnt be back for a few months. I provided more photos of my hair to try to give Lisa a full view of the service I received & asked her to make an except on the refund. She accused me of altering the images and lying about being in Florida and said that unless she physically touches my hair she would not be willing to issue any kind of a refund. She also stated that I left the salon looking happy (she concluded this from her security video footage not actually seeing me or speaking to me. She was not there) so she felt her hands were tied. The quality of service I received was not up to the stands of a professional salon that The Collage is claiming to be. My parents have owned an Aveda salon (out of state) for the past 12 years. Therefore, I am very familiar with procedures/best practices and VERY disappointed on how the owner Lisa handled this situation.

Pros:They have free consultation time for 15 minutes where in you can go before booking an appointment for your hair and can talk and discuss what you are looking for and what would best suit you.Cons:Lack of transparency and miscommunication.Even when they realized that they did not communicate clearly, they weren’t ready to do anything about it knowing that I was very disappointed.I am not going to recommend this place to any of my friends.Here’s my story:I had to get touch up for my hair. I booked an appointment for consultation. It went good. We discussed about colors and different options I had. I just wanted to be sure about the price so I asked the stylist what would be the the total cost for getting touch up. He told me it is going to be $70 and up the extra color they use. I was fine with it and then he suggested me I get a haircut as I had split ends. I just got my hair cut done 2 months back and I was in no mood to trim my hair. I asked if there was extra charge. He told me it is included. So, I booked an appointment for getting color done.I went to this place on the day of appointment. Everything went well. Got my color done and then stylist asked me how should I get the hair cut done. I really didn’t want my hair to be cut. I just asked to trim at the ends (one straight trim at the ends with no style or trims anywhere in between) and the bangs. He could see I was in no mood to shorten my hair but just as it was complimentary with cut (which I thought was, as communicated to me), I thought I would get it done. I had also read on their website page that bangs were complimentary for regular customers. So, I finished my touch up and everything and went to pay at the reception. AND they said 160$. I was really SHOCKED. How could the price shoot the price from 70 to 160? I was so pissed off. I told them the hair stylist had told me it was going to be 70$ plus extra color they use and I was here just for touch up. They called the stylist and he told me yes, it was 70 plus extra color and haircut. I had expected extra color to be max 20-25$ so I had somewhere in mind I will pay under 100$. I told him I didn’t ask for hair cut and that he had told me it everything would be done for $70.I explained at the reception and to the stylist that it was just for one straight trim at the ends and bangs. I mean I didn’t even want a haircut. I could have gone to some other place and got the bangs and trim for $10 and here you are charging me extra 60$ or so. They could see how disappointed I was. At one point they decided to discount $10. Hah!!! Then stylist and the receptionist went on to discuss something and said its $160. They just made sorry faces, didn’t do anything about it in-spite of the fact they knew how disappointed I was.

Lisa is the best stylist in Seattle, and the setting is fun and unpretentious.
