Go here if you are satisfied with the staff only using the trimmer to cut your hair. Otherwise, AVOID. For the same price you can get a MUCH better haircut at Sports Clips.The staff is otherwise fine.

Called about availability and was answered by a very rude woman, instantly changed my mind about visiting this location.

I’ve been a great clips customer for over a year at other places. However this experience in Queen Anne has changed that, I got a haircut from Denny (bald Asian guy), he was extremely rude and arrogant the entire time. He seemed to be in some sort of hurry and ended up giving me a cut on the forehead with the trimmer during the haircut and was rough the entire time. The haircut again was extremely bad and I regret getting it. Never visiting this place again, being cheap is not an excuse to be rude to customers.

I received a hair cut the other day & I do like the result. Thank you. However as I looked at my receipt I noticed a charge of 25 dollars for cut, & I gave a5 dollar tip, however it stated 30 tender 5 back!,but it was a tip. Oh well the reason I am posting this is Ive had a problem w receipts in past ( other places.) Most likely for tax purposes?!. Thought Id share.

I’ve been coming to this great clips store for years without issue. Until yesterday. I went in for a usual haircut and it was great, my stylist was awesome and my hair is superb. Then things took an incredibly bizarre turn. I had hair all over my hands from when the cloth was removed from my shoulders which happens, so I paid and tipped my stylist first, then on my way out I was going to wash my hands. As soon as I start walking toward the restroom a stern deep voice from all the way across the room aggressively shouts SIR, SIR. I turn around and a completely different stylist I had not even spoken a word to during my whole visit accuses me of intending to make a mess in the bathroom. Not only did this stylist visibly mistake me for someone else, which would have been fine, but he did it abruptly in a room full of others silently staring at us both. Employees and customers alike. Taken aback I said I just wanted to get the hair off my hands, I do that. I’m grabbing my things and he GOES to the bathroom to patrol whether or not I was in fact the person he thinks he knew would soil a great clips customers-only bathroom. We all have bad days, but this guy clearly needs some insight into how you speak to people who give you their money in exchange for services.You don’t speak to complete paying strangers in an accusatory manner, especially in front of others like it is some kind of play to be put on.Sadly I cannot say I will be coming back here.

Budget friendly haircut place for both the men and the women. Almost after every cut, they offer discount coupons for the next hair cut. I really appreciate the fact that they keep track of type of hair cut you had in the past.

I have been visiting great clips at various locations (across country) for almost 5 years now. This was the most horrible experience I ever had with them. The gentle man who cut my hair didnt listen to what I was trying to tell him. He ignored all my requirements and did a horrible job (Had to wear cap for almost 2 weeks). I might never visit this location again. This store is effecting reputation of great clips.2 stars because its inexpensive.

I was very impressed with the speed and skill of the folks working here. I came in towards the end of the evening on weeknight and had three folks in front of me. I was out there in about 40 minutes. Muhammad was fantastic, clearly skilled, and had a few fun stories to tell along the way. Will definitely come back and see them again.

Below average budget haircut place. Ive had a few good ones but the stylists generally refuse to follow directions like dont cut my bangs. Other locations, like Cap Hill, are better at following directions.

Wow! What a Ripoff! I walked in with freshly washed hair in to have 1 inch trimmed from my bangs and about 5 curls with a curling iron on the sides of my A-Line Stacked bob. NO shampoo. NO haircut. NO hairdry blow out! ... Time In and Out 15 to 20 minutes max. The cost on this? $38 bucks [plus tip!] ... I wont be going back!

Went here to get my long hair, that Ive been growing out for a year, cut shorter. I usually do it myself, but it had been a while and I didnt want it as short as I usually cut it myself. The first person lined to help me didnt understand my vision. The second person got it and was doing a wonderful job, but I think they got frustrated with everything I wanted when I reminded them at the end of the last thing I wanted (stated at the beginning and easy to do right if only theyd actually listened). As a result, my hair went from nearly complete and almost awesome, to butchered.I went somewhere else to get it fixed and just barely at that. They say theyve never seen anything like what happened to my hair...I wont be returning to Great Clips (any location), as this is just another bad experience with the business. Cheap begets cheap.Fortunately, hair grows back... but its still troubling when someone butchers your hair, either on purpose or accident.If you go here, be clear what you want. Dont expect anything that takes effort and except a cheap hair cut for the price you pay.

I will never recommend this location of great clips. Its not just bad skillls, its bad customer service. They do not how to behave with a customer. Dan cut my hair and she gave me worst hair cut ever. She was done cutting my hair in 1 minute at most and when I tried telling her that my hair is not even, etc. she was not ready to listen and did not even try cutting it again.

I would give this negative stars if I could. Im new to Seattle and made the mistake of going to a cheaper barber shop because I wanted to save money, and I very much regret it. The person who cut my hair, Luan, was rude and gave me the worst haircut experience of my life. After spending not more than 10 minutes on my hair, he immediately unbuttoned the cloth and said he was done without even asking me for my opinion. I had to tell him that I wasnt satisfied with my cut. He seemed visibly annoyed and put the cloth back on me without the white neck cover and buttoned it forcefully, which pinched the skin of my neck. It was painful and I said ouch loudly when it happened, and he didnt even apologize or acknowledge that I was in pain. Then he proceeded to cut my hair. I actually had to stop him because it was so uneven and he was going way too short. I was so mad at how unprofessional and rude this service was, and didnt even care if he finished my haircut (it probably prevented him from doing any more damage anyways). I just paid the $20 and left.This has been by far the worst service experience Ive ever had. On my receipt it says that Great Clips guarantees satisfaction on all services and products, but this is obviously a big fat lie given what I had to go through today.Great Clips, you just lost a customer. I will also advise everyone in my network, friends and colleagues alike, to never go to this location and save themselves from an atrocious experience.

Been here 3 times till now. Totally different experience every time. Latest stylist was so careless about customer experience. He was so rough and I literally had to tell him to slow it down. He just tool trimmer and applied max force he can which end up hurting me rather than smooth experience. He used same notes from last stylist still haircut is way different. I am not sure why even they have those notes. One stylist before this, was good. She took enough time to cut hairs and listened to all my comments.But since you get random stylist, I wont prefer Great Clips and rather stick to specific stylist in area.

Great service, fantastic haircut. My hairdresser certainly knew what he was doing. The ambiance was very nice, and there wasnt an overwhelming stench of hair products in the air. The haircut itself was inexpensive, and very professionally done. Highly recommended. This is a no-frills haircut - in and out, with a minimum of fuss.

I dont care if you are in Seattle or on the moon. $20 for a buzz cut is too much. I am also not a fan of being quizzed on where I live an my phone number for a walk-in haircut. I need to find service and value in your store before I am willing to be part of your market research. My haircut was acceptable if you ignore the price and the staff was courteous if nothing else. The shop was clean.

The only great clips i go to. Dan is my always hairstylist and She is amazing. By far the best great clips i been to in the country and definitely in the entire seattle and kind county. Period.

Lower Queen Anne location of the Great Clips franchise. Smaller shop that can be busy. Stylists are always great. There can be a wait at busy times, but the online check in function on the website can help you avoid that. Parking can be a trick in this area so if youre driving you may need to walk a little bit.

Great cut from Luan

Great place. There is an app where you can check in and know how much time you must wait. Also they keep your preferences and you dont have to tell again what your style is. The employee are very kind and they suggest you some changes to improve your style. I am happy happy with the results.

Decent. Not Great as the name suggests. They would barely use scissors for the haircut, its almost all trimmer. But does its job. It is 20 bucks plus top for the haircut so cannot expect much for that price. They may try to sell you hair products with discounts, steer clear. Nice mobile app to checkin while on our way to the salon. Long queue on the weekends.

I add myself to the wait list online before going. I get a coupon for $3 off my next visit after each haircut. I get the same haircut as more expensive places ($17 with the coupon). Great deal!

The service is really inconsistent given that you could get any of the hair stylist depending on the time you go. They try to keep notes from one haircut to the other but it still doesn’t seem to work. Sometimes the hair stylist would literally follow what is on the notes without putting much thought into how the hair cut looks overall or whether the client is happy with it.

I dont usually patronize chain barber shops, but went in on a whim with an extra hour before a meeting. Mohamed was a great barber, personable and friendly, who saw me right away, and Great Clips kept my preferences from the last one I visited years ago. That was a pleasant surprise.

It’s very annoying to have such inconsistent experience here. I have been going here for the past 3 years and it’s always a hit or a miss depending on who is cutting your hair. The most annoying part of it is that some stylist do not even understand english more than just talking inches and numbers, and what ever happened you tell them they just do the standard buzz cut. If you want consistent experience, like what I finally am going to do now.

Went in for a trim and new bangs. Just needed a couple of inches gone. They took off 5 even after discussing the length I wanted and me showing them pictures. The cut turned out okay, but it was NOT what I asked for. :/ They did get the bangs more or less right. I think theyd have done better with hair that doesnt curl.

I like it here, been here twice now and both times I was satisfied with the quality of the haircut as well as the hair dressers. Will definitely be coming back for my next hair cut.

I showed him a picture, he offered suggestions, described each step of the cut and what exactly he was going to do, and in the end offered me a great deal on some product and a coupon for my next cut! I can always get in for a haircut relatively easy and I love my stylist. The app allows me to check in for my appointment prior to arrival and I rarely wait more than 10 minutes for a haircut.

Decent haircut for $20 but definitely nothing special. It probably varies greatly on who you get cutting your hair. I had several uneven patches that I fixed myself at home. You get what you pay for.

So many reviewers have dissed this salon and based on the negative remarks I went for a haircut. Its actually much more reasonable than hair salons in proximal distance of the same venue, or downtown. The staffing is rountine manned by the same individuals who do quite a bit to move their clientele and set up a style for each one they see for a haircut.Professionally trained, well seasoned and experienced. I found myself returning to the same hair stylist for an updated look every three months.Located just off the main intersection on Lower Queen Anne its tucked away in-between building entrances. An open air concept salon with modest accomodations for men and women.Nicely appointed by the regularity of return clients, business is steady and not hard to simply walk-in off the street for a quick appointment. Relaxing. Yet, very stylish in ways that seemingly is impossible to see past inside the City Center.

I had to go back to get my haircut fixed... Not my best haircut. I will not be going back.Edit. So Ive now been here a few times. There is one person who is terrible. Luan. He will spend no time on your hair and leave chunks missing. Zero attention to detail. I hate to disparage someone but he should not be cutting hair. I went in for a simple trim and to add some layers. The man who cut my hair was SUPER rude. He was rude to the point that it seemed personal. He wouldnt make eye contact with me, wouldnt talk to me, and was generally unpleasant. In addition, he didnt seem to understand what layers are. When I got home I had to finish cutting some pieces around my face. I will not be going back here.

I would give it a 1 but I gave it a extra one because this was the first time they did so terrible. I normally get the Asian guy but I got some other new dude (at least since Ive last been in) 1st he told me he couldnt cut it to the length I needed because his fingers were too large so I was like ok Ill just get it a little bit longer no big deal, then I told him to not cut my side burns short and to leave them at their lowest points well nope I guess he didnt understand me because he cut them equal to the same level as the top of my ears also while blow drying my hair at the end he roughly rubbed my head which was weird as hell ...terrible absolutely terrible...I gave him a 3 dollar tip because for some reason I feel obligated to provide a tip however I didnt realize how terrible the haircut was until I got home and looked in the mirror and now Im irate, so I thought the only way to do something now a days is it post a review and hope future customers see it so they dont make the same mistake as I.

Terrible experience. There is no such thing as customer experience at the 21W Mercer St. The staff was bored to death and kept constantly chatting in native language. The gentleman who gave me haircut was stubborn and impolite. He just finished the cut and walked away without setting up the hair and without asking for feedback. Upon asking for slight readjustment he became loud. Worst haircut till date.
