Rick has been cutting my hair since we moved to Scottsdale. He is an excellent hair stylist and colorist. He is also good with mens hair and childrens. He is very reasonable and professional. The shop is clean, welcoming, and friendly.

I am absolutely obsessed with Roslyn at Americos Hair Salon. Never before (in my 26 years of life) had I had a hairdresser. People always talk about their hairdresser and how they couldnt go to anyone else. I never had that.... that is until I met Roslyn! The first time I got my hair done by Roslyn, she took the inspiration photo I showed her and explained how that would look on me, and sought out if I liked the thought of it and if I wanted to change anything about it. In the end, she captured perfectly the mix of what my inspiration photo mixed with my own style looked like. Since then, I have gone back to her religiously every 8-12 weeks. My hair has never been healthier and I get so many compliments on the color (2 different color of blonde highlights in my brunette hair). It has grown out healthier than it ever has before.Additionally, Roslyn offers a wide selection of nice hair products and tools for sale. She often helps me pick out the products that best suit my hair and styling needs. However, she never forces anything down my throat in a typical salesperson fashion. She understands that most people are on a budget and knows that I cant buy something in addition to the hair cut and color itself every visit. She always makes sure to let me know about sales she has going on as well.The salon is very nice and well-equipped. They have coffee and water to serve customers. Additionally, its in a nice part of town and easy to access. Sometimes Roslyn even has freshly-baked chocolate chip cookies to share with customers!

I had the pleasure of getting my hair cut by Rick. He was great! Super nice and friendly! Answered all my questions and gave me the best hair cut. I recommend coming here to get your hair done! The place is clean and welcoming! Thank you so much for the experience!!! 😊😊

I have been going to Americo’s for 10+ years. Rick Cosentino is an amazing stylist and is up to date on all styles. I have my hair cut and colored every 6 weeks and about twice a year I have highlights done. My husband and I lived in Scottsdale and have retired to Sun City and I would make the trip into Scottsdale because Rick is the only one I would let style my hair.The salon is very nice and the people there are very friendly.I highly recommend Rick Cosentino

Ive been searching for a great hairstylist for many years to no avail. Angela @ Americos finally broke the search...She is so fantastic! I could tell the moment we started talking that things were gonna look up for me and my hair. Hair for me is my most self conscience issue and I was starting to loose confidence that I would ever have beautiful hair again. Angela knows her products extremely well and what works for someone. I have extremely curly dry hair and being in Arizonas dry climate doesnt help. I had a base, highlights and a smoothing treatment done and my hair looks 10 years younger and fresher. Ive never been able to achieve this look that Ive so long desired and now I have. Frizz is gone and style is back. Highlights usually dry my hair out to a brittle frizz...Her highlighting products gave me shine, depth of color and a softness that I didnt think was possible and adding a smoothing treatment gave me silky soft curls. Give her a try! Im really happy I did. Also everyone in the salon is so cool and pleasant to talk to you wont be disappointed. Thanks Angela!

I checked a few reviews and called to inquire information on pricing, availability/hours/days open, etc,..Got right in for a cancelled slot -for a half hour later!Perfect timing!I can see how some may feel their hair is chopped with the technique Roslyn uses to provide a haircut with SHEARS.I, am unfortunately not a fan, but to each their own.I am actually VERY UPSET with my hair, (and uneven/or longer than other side pieces), and have been keeping it in a hat outside of home, as well as in an awkward ponytail at home/with family -Even on Mothers Day, with our big get-together finally.Guess I shouldve done more homework on it! It was so spur of the moment, due to waiting so long to have it done -Hadnt in 1-1/2 years, since a bit before the pandemic started.Soooo long & a perfect canvas for someone in this field, and I needed it cut at least for now.Not sure about where to get my color again, or fix this now after it grows out for a bit.It was not worth the $40 I paid, unfortunately.She IS however, so very sweet, and very considerate!She really tries and means well.Asked for pictures if I had any, certain ways Id like my bangs, etc.SHE REALLY MADE ME FEEL VERY COMFORTABLE THERE.LIKE I WAS HOME.This is why I’ve given any stars.It is a very convenient location, with being in the Frys shopping center, fuel and food/restaurants nearby.I did not get any pictures for this review, but wanted to make sure to give out some information.

I love this place. Angela and her Mom are just the best. So friendly. My hair has never looked better. Every stylist in this place is friendly and personable. I highly recommend Americos.

Angela is the best ever!! I was working in Phoenix for 3 years and saw someones color who I loved who went to her. I have long layered hair and get ash blonde highlights. Everyone else seems to always give me gold which I hate! I was with her for 3 years and now that my project has ended and I had to go home to Florida I am struggling to find someone new that can do as good of a job.

Erika is amazing!!! She took my hair from shoulder length, to a pixie cut; and it turned out FREAKING AMAZING! And she made absolute sure it was what i wanted to prevent that old hair cut remorse. Their prices are great for the area, and the whole shop was so friendly!! 10/10!

I rely on reviews to help find reputable businesses with reliable service when in unfamiliar areas and I will add to the outstanding reviews for Americo’s. Erica did a fantastic job on my hair today. The color looks great, my hair feels smooth and is fresh from a stylish trim. That’s not easy when you have never worked with the client before, to match the normal color that has been sun faded and has grey taking over. Salon was clean, everyone was friendly and services were reasonably priced. Thanks Erica!

The reviews brought me here. The service will keep me coming back. My previous salon became too pricey for me. I was willing to sacrifice some quality for affordability, but luckily I didnt have to! Roslyn was patient, listened to what I was hoping to accomplish, offered suggestions, and worked MAGIC on my hair. I am thrilled!

Angela was freaking awesome. High energy, light-hearted, fun to be around. She was super easy to schedule with, was great to bounce ideas off of and talk through what I wanted, and she slowed down and took the time to be detail-oriented (despite my hair having taken ages of her time) !She answered my eight million questions with a smile and enjoyed teaching during the process too, if you care to learn :)10/10 would recommend.

I always get nervous going to a new barber or salon for my haircut. I just moved here from out of town, and Americo’s had amazing reviews so I gave it a shot. They have amazing reviews for a reason!!! Rick (the senior barber) cut my hair and it looked amazing the first time. The second time around I told him I wanted to switch it up, and he styled it better than anyone else I had ever been too. My haircut in LA would sometimes be as much as $100, and they could never do what he did for me!!!

I have very thin, fine hair and when I leave her salon, I feel like a million bucks. I also have very sensitive skin and she went out of her way to find a product recommended by my dermatologist so that I would be able to have my hair done without side effects of most hair dyes. Ros used the three blade shears on my long hair to give it amazing movement and subtle layers without losing too much of the length. She also taught me how to take care of my hair - will definitely be back.

Dont go to Vanessa. chunks of hair cut short, causing cowlicks. back of head looks weird. she also told me my hair was yellow, & dull. it makes me cry. the other employees were also staring at me when I was there, which was just creepy.
