Not enough consistency. Hair stylist need to listen to their clients, and I’m mean this in the best possible way. Not trying to come off rude just trying to leave an honest critique. Other than that I think they’d do great.

I went in to get a simple cut. I asked for 5in straight across no layers. When I got home and really looked it was completely uneven on the back so I went back and asked them to fix it. Now all of my hair is uneven and looks like I have layers. They over charged me as well. The lady who cut my hair was named flo.

I brought my son here when he was 14 for his first haircut (not including the shaved head his dad leaves him with) after going somewhere else and being treated like it was an issue to look to the person who cuts hair for advice.The woman who helped us took my son to her chair and started asking him questions about what he may like, she took the time and he loved his new hairstyle. It was enough to bring me back for his second haircut. And as long as the end result makes him happy, Im happy.

The lady who cut my hair did an awesome job. She really took her time and mase sure it was right. I dont have easy to cut hair. Half the hair cuts I get arent right. First time here she knocked it out of the park. Will be back in a couple weeks.

I think its important clarify, this is great clips not a high end salon. Haircuts can be great, or they can be terrible. This location has historically had a better average of great cuts to poor cuts, in my opinion. To some of the more negative reviews, its hair, and it can and will grow back. All that being said, all of the staff I have had interactions with have been pleasant. This location can get very busy, so I would highly recommend checking in online before.

Poor service. Stylist took no effort to listen to feedback from me that my hair needs more fixing. Instead she was hurrying me to get off the chair and remove the gown.

Bailey is the best. Worth the wait... Shes always got a line.... Because she knows whats shes doing. Not everyone can cut curls. Glad to hear she will be there a while. Shes a lot nicer than some of the other ladies there.... Maybe they are upset... Their chairs sit empty while Bailey has a Line...wonder if their attitudes have anthing to do with that?Lucky For this review.. BAILEY WINS ALL THE STARS.

Have been a regular here at this location for years, and I Always request Juanita, who does a tremendous job. As an old geezer, Juanita styles my hair so I get lots of compliments AND, with a little color later, I look closer to my Facebook age than my drivers license age. Ask for Juanita- she is definitely worth the wait

I totally agree with a previous post. I had my hair cut here and I am very unhappy as well. Danielle cut my hair and she did a terrible job.She completely butchered my hair. She did horrible on the layering and my hair doesnt blend together at all. The back looks super choppy like she used a lawn mower to cut my hair.So now, my hair is choppy as hell. The only way to fix it would be to blend it and fix the layering, but that would require going even shorter. Im very upset and hate how my hair looks now. I have even considered wearing a wig until my hair grows out. Worst hair cut ever!

Then a lady named Danielle cut my hair and she did a terrible job. I asked to keep my length and now its quite short. For example in some spots its barely four inches now. She did horrible on the layering and my hair doesnt blend together at all. The back looks super choppy and you cannot even see the V of the cut at all...And want to know the best part? I used one of their books as a picture reference to show her what I wanted. So now, my hair is medium length and choppy as hell. The only way to fix it would be to blend it and fix the layering, but that would require going even shorter. Im very upset and this was my first haircut in Arizona.

I took my son to this Great Clips for his first hair cut and they did an awesome job. My son was a bit nervous but the staff did an amazing job calming him down, distracting him, and making him feel comfortable. What could have been a disaster turned into a fun and memorable experience. The hair cut looked good too. Nice job, Great Clips!!

The times that I have gone to this Great Clips the Staff and Service have been great, very polite and they do a great job!!

I understand that the haircut is cheap, and the hair cuts have to be done within five minutes or so. But all I wanted was the bottom cut short. My hair is shaved up the back, and so short on the sides, I look like a man. I want to know why a simple trim turned into this? Why wasnt I listened too?

I went in for a basic trim and thin, but the lady was completely unprofessional, didnt pay attention to what she was doing to my hair, and now my hair is completely destroyed! she didnt even get the layers! on top of that I will now have to get a pixie cut just for my hair to grow back normal!

Came here about a month ago to get my hair cut. I would not recommend it. The woman who cut my hair was cold as ice. No smile, no empathy, no personality, just an empty shell of a human being. I tipped her because I felt sorry for her. Shes this kind of heavyset Caucasian lady with short hair that is multi-colored and I think she has blue eyes and might be in her 40s or 50s. She needs a lesson in customer service. Didnt demonstrate an ounce of friendliness. Personally I think that many Scottsdale establishments have very rude snooty staff and I guess this one made my schitt list. I highly recommend the one on 7th Ave and Osborn. MUCH friendlier.

I had to try a few of the staff members, but for my short, spikes do, Colleen is a perfect match! I only go when she is working and my flexible schedule helps. If she ever moves, I will follow her!

Check in online to reduce wait time. Every stylist Ive seen is friendly. They treated my post-stroke mom with kid gloves and kindness.

Unfortunately, Ive had my hair destroyed one to many times here and now avoid this place like the plague. This last time i went i called first to check how busy they were and was assured by the woman (thick accent) that i could come in and they would get me right in. I show up and theres 5 people in front of me.. Annoying

I go here once a month. They keep the details of your hair cut (how it is cut, styled, washed, etc.) In the computer which is helpful in the event that your normal person that regularly cuts your hair isnt available for your next visit. In theory, the next man ir woman should be able to glance at the screen, confirm with the customer and then get to it. Prices seem to keep going up, which unfortunately only takes away from the tip, but I know for me atleast, Im bringing a $20, if the cut is $10, its a $10 tip. If the cut is $15 its a $5 tip. And as of late, if the cut is $17 or $18 then the tip is only whats leftover in that $20 that I brought and have been bringing to my haircuts all my life. Not going to all of a sudden start bringing $25 just because corporate keeps spiking the base rate of a simple damn haircut, but thats neither here nor there, and has more to do with capitalism and the state of our economics then the abilities of this place to cut my hair. Yeah Id recomend this place for a quick, decent, walk in haircut. I usually slide right in on my way home from work and am out in 15 or 20 minutes.

Mediocre at best! No love or pride for their work. I have long hairs behind my ears even a blind person could see. The lady took less than 5min to cut it. I stopped her and told her to use scissors to even the cut. She acted like she didnt know or cared.. I hate people who dont put pride in their work. If I could I would get my money back. Sometimes Ive walk there and had a cut from people who are obviously on prescribed drugs. People should know about this. Dont spend your money at this place.

This place is not the place to go if youre looking for a trim up, guys. $14+tip for 10 minutes? No thanks! Consider offering men a trim for less, you might get more business.

First , I asked for a half inch of the top and got more than an inch taken off. Then the person hacked at my sides with the clippers with one hand besides or behind her, I couldnt really see.. I wear glasses so I usually take them off. So I cant see whats going on until after the fact. I also understand you have other customers coming in but the person kept walking away to check other poeple in. She spent more time checking in people than cutting my hair.

Abbey was excellent... a nice, clean haircut in around 10 minutes... very friendly and we had a nice conversation...highly recommended!!

I go here relatively regularly to get my haircut. Once you find a hair stylist who does a good job by you, its a great way to keep looking clean.

Terrible Service.I was in the lobby (having check d in online 30 minutes earlier) and watched the online app list me as next up (3 minutes), then it bumped me to 16 minutes when someone else walked in.Then 35 minutes after this person sat down.I asked about it and explained and she just laughed like it was funny.Then she said it won’t be too long. There are only 3 people ahead of you.I asked what happened and she said just chuckled again with a hug smile.I started to argue but decided to leave and write a review instead.

Just pay the extra money to a better place. Staff is nice but skills are lacking.

First time ive ever walked out half way of a haircut. Been growing it out for almost a year now, and the older African American stylist didnt listed to a WORD about what i was trying to do. Livid.Response to owner: The mistakes that were made by your employees cannot be fixed. I was just glad i was able to make it out of your store without a scene, even though i was so angry i started to shake.

I normally would give this place a 5, only because of flo, shes awesome, but my last visit flo was not there and i let someone else cut my hair, they screwed it all up, had to go to diffrent great clips in mesa, and they thought i tried to cut it myself, i have no idea how a professional could screw up so bad, all im saying is it was a man

I just got my hair trimmed this evening, and Im very glad I made the decision to go there, and with a new group of stylists at this location; their service was friendly, and welcoming. I know Im going to keep coming back.

I asked the stylist for a trim. She talked talked the entire time, not really paying attention to my hair. It was not until I got home I realized she layered it unevenly, which I never asked for, she cut my side burns uneven too. I have gone here in the past and not been happy. This will be the last time. It seems all the stylist just do what they want with asking the customer.Too bad there is nothing lower then a 1 star reviewe.
