I called to find out what a general exam would cost and ended up going round and round with some of the people there in the insurance dept.for a total time of 1 hour on the phone with them! Even though I told them my monthly income, source & family size, etc., all I got was an estimate that went from $45 to $145! Very frustrating! I was told that if I wanted to know what it would cost I would have to go into the clinic in person BEFORE my appointment! What? Why would I have to come in to the clinic just to know what it would cost? They were reluctant to tell me anything other than a very rough nonspecific figure that could be triple of what the low end on their mystery scale might be?! Ridiculous! If I give you my income, insurance info and all, why would it be such a problem? Your quote would be based on the info I furnished...so why the big mystery? Finally, after multiple calls and wasting my time I reached someone who said I could probably qualify for the CDP Program which covers the exam, labs and radiology costs...so after talking to half a dozen people, finally got a clear comprehensible answer from the receptionist! Please get better organized and better inform your people who handle the phones! Thank you!
