As a man going through divorce I had no where to turn as I was the parent raising my children while the wife worked. Everyone in the office was kind to me during this time. I was lost, scared, sad you name it. The lawyer who took my case was and is an incredible lawyer who I owe everything too. I kept custody of my three children and our lives were forever changed by the outstanding work of my lawyer. I am so grateful to the Pro Bono Project and am forever indebted to my lawyer for her kindness and passion in what she does! Thank you Pro Bono Project, Thank you H.U!!!

Some of the people there are wonderful, but the management lacks integrity. One supervising lawyer didnt even bother to introduce himself to his clients when meeting with them, until someone noticed how he was treating people and called him out on it. Mgmt pretends like they care and even call themselves trauma informed, but its total BS, unless that means gossiping about vulnerable clients or each other and backstabbing to get ahead. Id go somewhere else if you expect to be treated with dignity and respect.

They brought me hope, but basically just referred me to the family court self help center. They gave sensible advice, and semi-listened to my cases specifics, but its evident that they only have enough time to give a minimal effort. If one wants good legal representation, then you get what you pay for.

They are awful. I submitted my information, called them over and over again for an appointment. Then I get one with a woman that listens to me. Then she goes in the next room and talks to a mean old man to see if they would take my case. It took several months and he called me and said they couldnt help me. Then he got angry with me because I was in shock and asked why they waited so long. He told me I was an intellegent person and could figure it out. He told me I was making him angry. Wrong person to have invilved in helping people. It was domestic violence and they took that long which means every attorney I talk to thinks I waited to long because of this jerk. Now I have nobody to represent me two years later. He should be disbarred. Dont donate to them they are just a waste of time and stressful. Just people collecting checks.

This place is for people that cant get enough information from the notredame court house self help center. Unfortuantely i had to wait several months to find out, you have to go through a screening process, i was called once to schedule an appointment and they gave it away to someone else. Again i had to wait. When i finally schedule the appointment i was greeted by an attorney and was given instructions and thats it. They made copies of my court papers and evidence but that was all. The instructions to set up court for Judicial conference but i willl do all this by myself, i will not be represented.Dont waste your time or cling onto this place. I wish i could recommend a different place but i will try to find an affordable attorney.
