The store on alum rock has a variety of items. From kitchen ware to purses, backpacks and shoes. They have baskets, glassware, rows of clothes ranging from jeans to shorts.There is also a wide assortment of Halloween costumes for purchasing. Help the community by shopping at Goodwill.

This Goodwill fell off in terms of quality of products and staff. One of them were extremely rude and gave me an attitude. The store doesn’t carry good stuff anymore, in general.

Friendly staff and good deals. The only issue i have is the parking. Now that OSH is gone and fenced off, the parking situation isnt that good. Other than that, I would definitely recommend this store if you are looking for some thrifty deals.

Decided to visit the Goodwill 4 the 1st time in our neighborhood to see whats good Deals they had and I found a large selection of cell phone cases! The tag on it was for $30 but I paid less than $4.00! Great price for an LG case. there were many cCricket cell phone cases in different colors, styles and varieties to choose fromQuite a variety of new items and lots to see but I just went in to look for the cell phone cases. I asked the cashier her name and she told me her name was Isabel P. Isabel P., th young lady was kind and helpful along with her baby bellee.... thank you for great customer service, being kind and helpful along with the girl that showed me cell phone cases in the glass case.

Expensive and trashy products. Discounts are really insignificant discounts.Their new employees are so rude! Young men with zero knowledge!Plus, I observed them pulling the blue tag stuff off the shelves. (Blue tags were on sale.)Dont go there! Youll regret it.

Goodwill is a great place to find treasures of all sorts.

It was fun shopping at the Goodwill of silicon Valley today. it was kind of crowded ,you had to wait in line for about 5 minutes. But it was worth the wait I found a necklace with my initial it wasnt gold but its really cute. I also found some other items Christmas decorations - the old-fashioned kind, not the cheap decorations that you find in the dollar store you, but pre-loved Christmas decorations it was fun.I plan to go shopping again next year when everything opens back up I give Goodwill five stars.

New to the South Bay area and checking out local Goodwill stores. This stores home goods section has a large variety but they are way overpriced. Items selling at IKEA currently are cheaper at IKEA than they are at this store! This is just wrong. It feels like they are taking advantage of people who cant get to the local IKEA that is a bit out of town. The frame sections is large and the frames are not damaged like they are at many stores, but over priced. They attach bizarre items together with tape and the price for the items is way overpriced if you only want one item. Seems like a poor business choice. Why not sell items separately and at least sell the items. The best buys at this store seem to be the clothes which are reasonably priced but nothing special. Goodwill San Jose in general is a big disappointment. I suggest they look into business practices of other Goodwills on the west coast. I really liked the young men working at this store. They were direct in communication and friendly. Overall Ive had a positive experience with San Jose GW staff.

Always unique and sensible things found on a GW treasure hunt. And cashiers are exceptional and most friendly. But prices on many items have increased and you can get new at retail for same or less, so know your prices

It’s a hit and miss like any other thrift store. One must pay close attention to the pricing, as many items are overpriced and can be purchased for the same or even less for said item at a department store.

Wow how rude the customer service ppl are. I called just to ask a question bout dropping off donation this was today March 2nd, 1220pm. VERY VERY VERY RUDE.BECAUSE I XANT DRIVE VERY FAR ITS GHE CLOSEST TO ME, BUT NOT AGSIN AFTER TODAY.

Wow I helped my friend clean out his storage. And goodwill took all of the things he didnt need anymore.had to sort out the items but no problem. Got a recite for the donation and off we went.

Due to Covid19, they are one of the few Goodwill locations that are open for retail and donations. Donation service is self serve and the staff are very attentive and helpful. Inside store was well ventilated.

Clean and very open space, not thrilled with the prices, most goodwills have increased prices and I normally do not visit although this time I did find one treasure for a fair price

Parking is not that great and I wouldnt mind it as much if the staff didnt lack so much courtesy. I understand customer service jobs can be a pain, having worked in the industry myself and COVID doesnt make things easier, but Ive reserved posting a horrible review on the off chance it was just a bad day. But its always been a rude experience from their staff each time. Id much rather drive further than deal with them at this point.

I went to drop off some clothing and shoes I no longer use.

They closed the doors at 5:55, and did not want to let me in. The store closes at 6 not at 5:55.

Called the store on Alum Rock and a girl answered the phone. She already had a bad attitude answering the phone. I asked if they are accepting donations and she said its first come, first serve before the bin fills up I said Ok thank you, where---- then she hung up. geez Customer service from her is the worst.

I called this Goodwill location around 5:50 p.m. and was told that he cut off time for donation drop offs was 6:45 p.m. I drove over here and arrived around 6:20 p.m. I tried to drop the donation off in store and I was told to go outside in the back of the store. I got back into my car and drove to the back of the store to find the gate locked to the drop-off area. When I called the store and tolded them the gate was locked. They told me the guy working the donation drop off left early. That that I would have to come back tomorrow. Thanks for wasting my time and gas.

Staff are friendly. The selection of items are not too bad. Some days are better than others. Overall, a good experience. Definitely one of my go-to thrifts

Customer service at donation drop off can use an improvement. I dropped off 20 lbs of new and only worn once clothing, furniture and misc stuff and the GW employee didnt greet me or thank me at the end of the drop off. I didnt even get offered a receipt for may truck load of donations. Maybe the extra miles to Salvation Army will be on my list next time.

Look. Its a thrift store, but the pre-owned merchandise can be in very good conditions. I go in to browse and seem to find new. Nice folks working there, ready to help. Minus1star because clothes sizes are mixed an not in the size marked on rack.

Its everything I would expect a good will to be. Its a little messy and could use a coat of paint. I also wonder what crimes some of the employees committed to end up working there.

Yesterday I took two large plastic bins of kitchen items to the Alum Rock location (including glassware, cups, other glass items) and the employee took my bins and turned them upside down dropping all the contents into their large bins. I’m not sure what items remained intact. This was disrespectful to me, and certainly to your business. I’ve been to the Milpitas location and nothing like this happened.

Best place to shop all time.

This location is very clean and has a large selection. While it is a second-hand-store, the prices arent incredibly decreased. Sometimes you can find something really fun and unique. Youd only really come here for clothes, as their other items (furniture and miscellaneous items) arent very abundant.

Liked the store and the people that work there. Just did not like the lighting in the store is depressingly dark in there. Maybe some natural lighting will help.

I seem to only go here as an after thought when I go to the hardware store across the parking lot. I can usually find a lightly used polo shirt or light jacket for a fraction of what it would cost new. I do wish they would sort their pants and jeans by size, it would make finding or not finding one much quicker.

I love this place. Some of the things are pre-owned though. But other than that, its great!

No clothes very few levis.

Bathrooms are always locked. They cannot find keys and 5 mins later a “wet paint “ sign is posted. Asked cashier and she acts like itsnother problem. Last time I shop there.

I like the furniture and nick nacks they have...some of the clothing is also good 😊 what I really dislike are the customer representatives(specially the older man that acts super unprofessional as well as the two african american store managers. They do not know how to run the store or provide good customer service. So sad!
