Excellent grocery store in central downtown that feels extremely safe and clean during these COVID times (especially when compared to the Ralph’s just a block away that feels like a virus breeding ground upon entering). The produce is fresh and I love the deli and pre-packaged grab and go style foods available. Their meat, seafood, and vegan options are all very good and the ingredients are listed clearly so you can read how healthy your meal is! I love their deli options and the ability to sample items beforehand. There’s also a bakery and section in the back for natural skin and body care.They offer validated parking at Horton Plaza too! Free for an hour.

Fresh pressed juice made to order and its better priced than Discount Nutrition. The juice bar also offers in house pre-bottled juice for a lower price. The grocery store is very clean and organized. They offer an all ORGANIC salad bar and other hot and cold foods that are ready to eat. There is a small Cafe where you can actually sit down inside and enjoy your meal. Highly recommend.

Excellent shop! I was blown away by the reasonable prices, excellent service, and delicious provisions. This has by far been the best natural food store that Ive ever been to. The selection of all products has a refreshing variety and impeccable quality. I would highly recommend this to anyone interested in natural health food stores. From the juice bar, salad bar, cheese center, produce, seafood, wok bar, fresh juice/other drinks and hygiene items to the friendly staff and other food/water products you will not be disappointed.

Great store! Really good deals on some organic produce such as chard--consistently cheaper than Northgate Market. Occasionally they also have really good deals on vegan mayo, vegan cheese, and some wines.Their ready-made and made-to-order sandwiches are also fantastic!Lately it closes at 6PM everyday. Sadly, they seem to be getting a raw deal from the mall re-developer, so the store may or may not reopen, which would make Ralphs the only game in the Gas Lamp for health food products :-/

I found this store during my very short visit to San Diego while I was looking for a market that sells organic fruits. Several reviews mentioned that they have great hot, ready-to-eat breakfast items on their buffet and they are all organic, which was hard to believe!Those few reviews about the ready-to-eat meals inspired me to try my next breakfast in the store. I do not regret it one bit! They have the salad bar, hot meals, cold appetizers ready in morning hours besides the eggs, cheese and other simple breakfast items as well.Although I chose to build a salad for my breakfast, I liked the other available options so much that I decided to have my dinner and the following breakfast here as well. For dinner, along with raw salad from the buffet, I went for poached salmon and spiced Thai rice salad from the cold mezes section, which were both incredibly delicious. You can read the ingredients used in the meals, which I really appreciated.The price tags are high indeed, but unfortunately until the organic becomes the norm, healthy options will come with a price. Besides, eating at Jimbos Naturally! is not only more cost effective than eating at a nearby restaurant, but also you have the ease of mind that you are eating healthier, and also supporting a cause, which I really care about.

I LOVE Jimbos. The extra care and attention to detail the employees take with the customers makes it feel like home. There were times i went in to ask for something they didnt have that day, but they made sure to have the next time i came in. Jimbos truly cares. I am very sad to see the Horton location closing (hopefully temporarily), but I will definitely be taking the trip more North every weekend to continue to shop from this incredible company.Hoping to maybe see a Jimbos in Mission Valley someday with the growing scene there as well as the future of SDSUs stadium and surrounding area :)Thank you Jimbos staff for being a cut above.

Great selections. VERY healthy food, drinks, and supplements. All natural medicines and they even have a deli where you can get healthy lunches made for you. They have a VERY friendly staff as well that make you feel welcomed. This is one of the first whole foods stores Ive personally started going to and I am happy that I did. I love Jimbos. They have made a happy customer.

All the best all natural, farm to market, organic, vegan or just plain tastes good can be found here. Prices reflect the premium quality of the items on the shelves. Fish and meat markets are excellent with only the freshest clear eyed fish and freshest butchered meats.

Have gone to Jimbo’s multiple times this month and each time mentally note how positive an experience it is. The hand baskets are sanitized, they’ve a guard at the front door ensuring everyone wears masks, and the store is nearly empty, which means no concerns about staying 6ft away from other shoppers. The sandwich deli is open for freshly made sandwiches to order and other hot foods are available pre packaged.

Lots of healthy choices. They have a salad bar, a juice/smoothie bar/ sushi bar/ hot foods/ organic raw vegan foods. A little pricey, but you really do get what you pay for.

Great place for natural food and organic products. However, I received an email today that this store will be temporarily closed. It is located within Horton Plaza but they are doing a huge reconstruction there right now.

So sad that they had to close, the whole situation with the mall left them no choice. The staff was always so friendly and helpful. We are eagerly awaiting the day when they reopen the location!

Similar to while foods, only better!! I ordered an organic green smoothie. They juice the produce while you wait. Mine had 4 stalks of celery, kale, spinach, almond butter, blueberries, Ginger, lemon, and maybe some honey?! It was amazing! I also grabbed a container of grilled tofu veggies off the salad bar, again amazing!! The hubby got one of the home made juices, I think it was mostly beets with lemon and Ginger... Really yummy!!

I came here to do an initial supply before my Pacific Crest Trail hike. It was amazing! I ended up buying food here and shipping it ahead as the loose stuff was so great. Id highly recommend.

Jimbos is a solid store. Comes with everything you’d expect from a natural food store. I have had 100% positive interactions with Anthony in the Bakery. He has helped me pick out numerous treats for work parties and personal events.Would have given 5 stars but Monique has 0 customer service skills and was quite unpleasant to me. I know we are in stressful times, but I thought we’re all supposed to be nicer to each other than ruder (???)Will probably still shop here regardless.

Cant go wrong with Jimbos where everything is organic and easy. Their sushi is all organic and delicious as well! Burrito bowls are huge and amazing!!

I could not wait for this alternative healthy grocery store to open. All the healthy alternatives I need are here! They also have a juice bar, so I do not have to drive to Hillcrest anymore! My favorite is the beetox. I specially love the excellent customer service, the high quality, and the competitive pricing. During this pandemic, I trust them to keep things clean. They are also prompt to get more cashiers when a check-out line starts forming. There is mall parking reserved for Jimbo customers.

This is the most amazing place Ive ever shopped at, everything they make from scratch is delicious..... Everything is so fresh, organic absolutely phenomenal. I go every Sunday and get their big 16 oz fresh juices for the week and some of their food to go. This place is magical and the people of downtown should support this wonderful store because its the best grocery store in all of downtown SD!!

My first visit to Jimbos Horton plaza was great.Every employee from the entrance to the cashier treated me with courtesy and was eager to help. Every item I purchased was quality#1.Jimbos is pricey, but less than I expected. Jimbos is worth it. Ill be back.

My fave salad bar in San Diego. Also great for groceries, liquor and sustainable odds and ends. The groceries are all organic and crunchy, which is good for your health but can be tough on your wallet. Also parking is available for free in the Horton Plaza garage with validation.

I like this place a lot. I’m on a pretty unique diet compared to most, and they have what I’m after for a pretty good price. I love the emphasis on high quality ingredients. The store is clean and well organized and it’s overall a pleasurable shopping experience.

Jimbos is my go-to lunch spot. I love their hot-bar and deli. The kale and sausage soup is better than anything containing kale has any right to be. The employees are so stoked they make Trader Joes employees look depressed. I love coming here.Other highlights include the Palm Desert smoothie (it has dates!), and the free parking validation with a receipt.I eat lunch in their indoor seating area and watch people go into and out of the 24-hour fitness. Thats probably how I should be spending my lunch, but at least Im eating healthy.

I love this place and everyone that works at this store is super nice and helpful. Weve shopped at Jimbos heavily the past decade, but the Front Manager at this location in Horton, Tess, seems to give an unpleasant experience with each interaction. She has a personality that should not be interacting with customers and looks unhappy to be there. If she could only smile one time and try to make it seem like she is enjoying her job that will be great. .

Wow, what a store! Everything was stacked perfectly I didnt want to ruin the displays. If you love buying organic, this place is for you. It was a bit pricey but cheaper than eating in a restaurant.

What Whole Foods would be if they really wanted to offer healthy foods. Everything here is ridiculously good for you. No junk to be found. It also seems to be the only place downtown I can reliably find wheatgrass. $3.99 for a pallet, $1.49 for a little pot of it. I love the wooden nickels they give you for bringing your own bags. Really great customer service; people behind the counters know their products backwards and forwards.

I love this place! So much better than Whole Foods. They have fabulous items you won’t find anywhere else. I am worried this place is going to leave due to the downfall of Horton Plaza.

Love the market. Wonderful products, snacks, sandwiches, vegeterian meals, fresh brewed coffee, fresh squeezed vegetable and fruits juices...All organic. A little bit higher prices than any other same type market. Its worthed to pay for better quality in food and drinks. After all, everything goes into your body....

I love the bakery here but I dont like how they rotate the baked goods daily, you cannot depend that your favorites are available.

Poor customer service from the cashier. The manager said hed talk to her. Had to wait for Work hot food server. Pork was pink, I did not attempt to eat any of it. Now I have to waste time returning it. Pics included. Returned the pork, manager was unapologetic, upon the return, said, Youre all set.

While staying in the Gaslamp district for a week, Jimbos was one of my favorite places to eat. I loved being able to buy a fresh papaya, take it right over to the indoor dining area, and use the provided plastic knife and spoon to eat it for breakfast. They have an excellent mini quiche with spinach and cheese thats great for breakfast. Sandwiches and salad bar are fantastic, too.

Great place for a variety of healthy foods.

I visit here often to buy drinks, coffee or lunch. I like their dinning area and prepared food selection. Prices are a bit high but that is the cost of quality I suppose . One thing they do need improvement on is the long lines to pay. It is annoying sometimes when there is a long line and only one cashier available.

I visited here for some supplements and found the staff to be super helpful and the selection to be good.In terms of pricing, it was comparable to most other health food stores.I found some store brand (Jimbos Naturally) peppermint breath spray, and I love love love it - no artificial garbage, was a stellar find, and I would recommend it. I found this one at the checkout.I recommend visiting here for vitamin/supplement purchases - nobody else nearby has a similar selection, not even close.

A much larger and nicer-looking store than I anticipated. You definitely get what you pay for, so it will cost you, but youre getting high quality groceries. Great Hot Bar and salad bar - way better than buying some premade sandwich somewhere.

The sandwich deli and the hot/cold food bar are really where Jimbos shine. They use top quality ingredients, its reasonably priced, and you get a lot of food for your money. The grocery store part of Jimbos is pricey like Whole Foods, but the deli and food bars make up for that.

Jumbos is a little pricey for my budget, so I only go in there about once a month. But the quality and unique products make the trip worth it. I just think its too bad Horton Plaza is dying.

Quick in and out and great cold snack. Cashier was great, forgot to catch his name. Spicy tofu Vietnamese rolls were tasty and yummy with peanut sauce.

A friend recommended us to try Jimbo’s and we really liked. Their variety and knowledge of what they offer is incredible. I received a whole explanation on melatonine options and end up choosing Sleep Deep that is truly a miracle for me. Everything is fresh and natural and never end options.

The security needs to stop staring me down all the time when I go in here otherwise its a very nice place you know nobody needs to be judging me and I never steal anything from their store so we need to just calm down and leave me alone like I go in there I purchase my items and thats it twice Ive gone in there without buying anything but I do use their microwave just to heat up my ramen noodles I dont see whats so wrong with that I bought my ramen noodles from a different store but came here because there wasnt a microwave and that store but I could get them cheaper over there.
