Really qualified trainers and a safe space for kids to be wild. We love Apex for their kids classes and well built gym.

Horrible supervision and absolutely not safe. My son attended a weeklong summer camp and enjoyed some of the structured lessons during the day. However, open gym time was another story and ruined his experience. He got injured and bullied by other kids while the coaches stood in a huddle laughing at their iPad, not doing their job. I complained to the owner, Keith, 2 times during the week, and a third time on Friday. Although he said he would talk to the coaches and managers, by the end of the week nothing had changed. In fact, Keith sat at the front desk watching a screen where he could clearly see his coaches just chatting with one another. I showed up early to watch my son do some parkour, and instead watched as he got pushed and slapped in the face by another kid. I also watched a pretty bad fall. The coaches who were supposed to be supervising didnt see any of it, of course, because they were not watching the kids. Coaches also had no way to see the trampoline or the foam pit from where they stood, which is where my son said a lot of the daily chaos took place. I am completely disappointed in this experience, and just glad my son came home without any broken bones at the end of the week. We are going to look for a different place to do parkour and I would never recommend this place to another parent. Ive attached pics of the coaches not doing their job.

Attentive coaches, amazing gym set up and equipment and wonderful staff! My child loves going to Apex and not only has learned so much about parkour, but has gained a ton of self confidence! She has attended a week long summer camp and homeschool class so far and she is always so excited to go. Everyone there is wonderful and treat the kids with kindness and respect. We are very happy with this program so far and will continue going! Apex is definitely worth the hour and a half drive for us!

APEX is amazing. My 10 year old has attended and enjoyed youth parkour classes off and on for the last 4 or 5 years, as well as parkour spring camps and parkour summer camps. He also loves the open gym sessions. I am consistently impressed with the amazing coaches and their positive approach to new challenges and small victories. Its a great place.

This was my very first class doing parkour. I was sore the next day! And that made me happy. Well worth the money. I’d recommend everyone.

Stopped in while on vacation. Took a vinyasa class with Emily, who is awesome. Instruction was clear and easy to folllow. Music was soothing but hip, not hokey. And at the end, while in Shavasana, she misted each of us with a cool lavender water that just put the class over the top. #travelyoga

We love this facility! Everyone is super nice from front desk to coaches. My son loves the classes, the camp, open gym and parents night out (we love it even more)! Just signed up for the birthday party and looking forward to it!

Updated: Before I gave 2stars but changed to 5stars. Today there were over students and two well trained instructors taught kids. They seemed very professional and cared all the kids well. This time my kid got better focused on their lesson.Me and my son visited at Firestorm Freerunning in Irvine and my son loved it. I asked the owner if there was anything similar to that place and he introduced this Apex movement in San Diego.I brought my son to Apex but I kinda disappointed. The facility looks great but the ratio between an instructor and students today is 1:10. The students seemed out of his control. I feel like they need more instructor to support kids. Or the instructor need more training.

My son knew APEX when he went there for a friends birthday party. And he loooved it right away! We have a membership since then... and counting. He likes everything about APEX: the classes, the coaches... As a mom, I like their way of doing things, how coaches engage with kids, the nice environment. Way to go APEX!!!

The kids loved it, its best solution that i know for the tablet blues. Just couldnt watch the kids sitting with the tablets the whole weekend so took them there. Its old school activities, climbing, jumping, doing all the things that I used to do as a kid. Also the Staff there is really nice and kid savvy. Totally worth it.

Apex Movement is amazing! The staff is so friendly and the coaches really know how to work with kids of all ages. My son is loving his Intro to Parkour classes and it is really helping him channel all the energy he has. When we first started going the class sizes were small but it seems like the word is getting out and the class sizes are growing which is a bit of a bummer but if a kid asks for extra help the coaches are glad to give it.

We love Apex! This place is unlike any sport my son has tried and he cannot get enough. The teachers are great, the owner is out there with the kids, and the kids are plenty entertained. Great place-- well be back!

My four year-old son loves the open gym and parkour class. Also, the people are very nice and attentive. I highly recommend to anyone who has a rambunctious kid with a lot of energy because this is one of the few places that embraces this aspect of a kids personality. You and your kid will love going to Apex!

I took my 5 year old son to Apex for day camp, and he loved it. I was a little nervous about leaving him all day but when it was time to go home he didn’t want to leave. Great coaches and great experience!

Apex school of movement is an absolute gem here in San Diego. From there very first open open gym we were hooked. The facility is centrally located and easy to get to. Its always clean, with a great support staff from management, coaches, and the parkour community. Our son has participated in classes, open gym, competitions, and special events. He is at Apex at least 3 times a week and always looks forward to it. They are always adding new skills, classes, and obstacles to keep it feeling fresh and challenging. If you havent been, its a must!

Terrific facility that is well maintained and is operated by personable staff. A great place for all ages, and very popular for birthday parties on the weekends. Summer pricing makes it too good to resist!

I signed my 6 year old up for the parkour summer camp. I was pretty nervous due to the high ledges and the fact that I don’t ever send my kids to unknown places off google. However I really needed child care that week so I went with it. So glad I did!!! My son loved it and I felt safe dropping my kid off. The facility is awesome and staff and owner are very friendly and accommodating. Will definitely send my son again and are considering monthly classes.

We love APEX. My son has done class, camp and his favorite is open gym. The staff are so nice and on it. The facility is clean, safe and comfortable. So many options on the floor with foam pit, tramp, ropes, balance bars, slack line, etc. Highly recommend checking it out.

Brought a group of kids for a one day summer camp experience. Kids had a blast. even the kids that are not necessarily athletically inclined had a super great time. Staff was great and encouraging. I will be booking them again many times in the future.

We love love love Apex week-long camps for our 7 year old parkour enthusiast. He has tended to be the only kid at camp or one of a very small group and he loves the attention and the activities. We will continue to look to them for winter and/or spring break camps.

I had a lot of fun and learned a new skill. Not Jackie Chan but have a better feelFor body mechanics. The staff is really helpful and I enjoyed everything about Apex!

Had my sons 7th Birthday party here. All of the kids had a blast! None of them wanted to leave. The staff was friendly, clean facility and Coach Daniel was AMAZING with the kids!!! Highly recommended ☆☆☆☆☆

Apex is seriously a great gym if you’re looking for somewhere with a ton of creative potential. Most of the blocks are movable to help people build their own courses and the recent addition of a few new bars makes the gym even more enjoyable than it already was! The coaches and staff are all helpful and friendly, so don’t be afraid to ask for advice! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to practice parkour, from people starting out on day one to seasoned veterans.

Friendly and professional staff that is great with kids. My son had a fantastic 9th birthday party there. Kids ages ranged from 7-12 and they all had a great time. Highly recommend!

My daughter has been participating in parkour classes at Apex since October. Previously she was very into gymnastics, so she is strong and competitive by nature. At Apex, she is in a mixed gender level 1 class and beams with pride everytime she accomplishes a new skill and is rewarded with a skill band or just the satisfaction of knowing she is strong and in control. I love parkour classes at Apex for my daughter bc the foundational skills each coach teaches her continues to fuel her understanding that she is capable of any movement, if she works hard enough and applies herself.

Very dynamic set of instructors whom each possess unique wisdom to help you improve your skills. I had previously done parkour at another facility, and in building my foundations for it again after a year off, I am learning little tools, tips and tricks that help my form big time!

It was a great place to go I have been wanting to get my acrobatic side out for a while now and it was the perfect place with new equipment friendly helpful staff and great people to be around I didnt get to be a part of the class because I wasnt looking for that my first time in but from what i saw the instructions and the instructors were very friendly hands in learning helping every step of the way definitely going back again!!!

In San Diego visiting with my family. We were looking for something active to do and discovered this gem/gym. Only $15 drop in classes for parkour. Our 11-year-old daughter took a class and had a complete blast. Then the three of us decided to take a family class and it was a spectacular time. Challenging and rewarding him! The coaches and the owner a really personable and adapt classes on the fly to each individual’s ability. Definitely coming again! They have yoga here, too. My daughter was begging to hold her birthday party here and we found out that is an option!
