Chris and his team are trustworthy, kind, and valuable! We have been getting our cars serviced by them since their North Park location days, even driving down from North County after we moved. Loving their new location and the service continues to be unmatchable. Most recently, went in for an oil change and asked them to check tires due to hydroplaning with some of that rare San Diego rain. Noe was wonderful - he explained how bad my tires were (showing me that they were thread bare in some spots), and walked me through my options for new ones, highlighting the pros and cons of each brand. Given the extra work they were doing in the car, they even offered me a ride so I didn’t need to miss out on work. Miguel, the driver, was professional, courteous, and a safe driver during the chaotic commute hours. After I had my car back for a couple days, Chris reached out to check in and make sure that all was good with the car and service.If this all sounds over the top and like I’m being compensated for writing this, I am not. I just really appreciate these folks and the work they do. We will continue to bring our cars here for sure.1 Way Auto is, by far, the best place to take your car for service in San Diego.

Chris and his team make sure that everything discussed in the pre-service meeting is taken care of. If any issues arise during the service, or if some parts are not available, they always call to discuss the options available before proceeding with any changes. The people who work at 1 Way Auto (formerly Texas Street Auto Clinic) are the best: extremely friendly, honest, thorough, and they wear great smiles! My car broke down while driving and I was able to have it towed to the shop and they diagnosed what the issue was immediately and recommended the necessary repairs with the prices up front. I never buy new cars since I find them to be poor investments, but if you only drive cars with no warranty, having a reliable and honest mechanic in your back pocket is a must.I take all my cars here and there’s nowhere else I trust more. No upselling of unnecessary work you don’t need like the auto dealers push on you and all their work comes guaranteed.They do everything from a simple oil change to full engine swaps. Chris and his team are honest, hard working people. Came in for an oil change and a stud replacement. Told him I was driving a across country and to do any necessary maintenance. Although the bill was high, I never felt pressured to do any of it. He is an advisor, teacher and wants what is best for the client.He even texted me a few days later just to make sure I was happy with the service. Now that is impressive. These guys are fantastic. Ive been going to Chriss shop for over 8 years. He does very good work and he is an Honest mechanic. When he moved his shop to this new location, I followed him, because I trust him and his mechanics to work on my vehicles. Great place.

My wife and I have been taking our cars to Chris since we moved down the block from his shop on Texas Street back in 2015. In addition to his kind and professional demeanor, hes always 100% honest and fair. He tells us in simple terms what repairs need to be done and how long we can afford to wait (e.g. whether it is dangerous or whether its merely an annoyance that we can choose to live with). He and his team do quality work that makes us feel safe and confident every time we drive away. We were bummed when we found out they were moving because the convenience of walking to/from the shop was pretty sweet, but driving up to the new location in Clairemont is still a no-brainer. Highly recommend!

Went to bring my BMW 3 series (2014) in for brakes/rotor/sensor (my warranty just expired) and I couldn’t be happier. Front brakes started to squeak and Chris J offered to show me the pads and where they were on the replacement chart and we got it done easily. I worked with Neo and he couldn’t have been nicer and got it done that day. Price at the dealerships were hundreds more, but the nearby auto shops were also hundreds more for the same job (close to the dealership price!) I’ll absolutely be going back for the rear brakes when they come due.

Almost always has the cheapest CASH gas prices in the area, but the station is poorly maintained. It badly needs to be scrubbed down and updated.
