Very clean environment and friendly staff. I felt they truly cared about my dental health and weren’t just trying to take my money. I may be old school, but their equipment seemed very new and updated! Crazy how technology has become. Very communicative and willing to work with my crazy schedule. Would definitely recommend!

I called this office when I was having pain with a wisdom tooth. They got me in for an emergency appointment within a few days of connecting with them as the pain worsened (their next available appointment wasn’t for weeks) so I was very grateful. I then had the tooth extracted and then I went back for an exam/cleaning which were split into two appointments due to personal tooth issues. Anyway, the girl who took me to my spot and performed all of my X-rays was so sweet, comforting and professional (I wish I remembered her name) and then my dentist, Dr. Lockwood is incredible, so sweet and gentle. She’s a sweetheart. Today I also had a cleaning by another woman (again, wish I remembered her name). She was so sweet and continued to keep me informed about what her next move was. The office manager and.coordinators are also so kind. Jessica is outstanding and has been really sweet with me. I actually love this office and their staff so much that I choose to pay out of pocket to see them. Thank you for such great service and for all being so kind!

Rio Vista is a great office. Very professional, friendly and they run a clean well equipped office. I also appreciate that they guarantee their work. So if you have an issue down the line with a procedure they did, they will fix it without charging you a second time.

By far the best client care and treatment I have ever received at a dentist. After I left, my teeth were so clean and fresh from my cleaning that I didn’t even want to eat food afterwards because I didn’t want to get them dirty again. This team took photos of every tooth, multiple x-rays, measured my gums (I didn’t know that was even a thing), and the cleaning was amazing. My hygienist was Jennifer and she was so knowledgeable about wellness and health. She got me excited to floss! I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I really look forward to going back to the dentist.

I visited for X-Rays, annual checkup, and a cleaning. Every staff member I encountered was incredibly friendly, but beyond that, I noticed that the X-Ray technician, the dentist, and the hygienist each made a big effort to explain what they were seeing, some fun facts about dental anatomy (now I know why I can’t stick my tongue out far!), and a lot of detail about why I need to floss more. I’ve been to quite a few dentists in my life and many will stay pretty quiet or just small talk, but walking away from my appointment feeling more knowledgeable about dental hygiene and how to take care of myself really made this a special office to visit. I’m very happy I discovered their Rio Vista Family Dentistry, and I would highly recommend their services as they will take good care of you.

I feel well taken care of, my appt.is always within 5 min of my time. I feel listened to, Dr. Joy and Dr. Raquel explain things to me so I understand them and can make a well informed decision. I trust them 100% that they want what is best for me. I think the office is pretty. In the last 6 years or possibly more, I have had 3 different hygienists and all three were sensitive to any discomfort and were pleasant to be around. I actually look forward to my cleanings and come out looking great. I get many compliments on my smile. I have already recommended this office to friends and they have all thanked me and still go.

This was my second visit to Rio Vista Family Dentistry. The first time I had a consultation and was able to get a cleaning too because of a cancellation. My second visit I had 2 fillings. They took COVID safety precautions seriously and I felt safe. The staff was friendly. The office was clean. I am happy to call them my new primary dentist office.

The pain was the only reason I went because of my anxiety and fear of dentists.They didn’t scold me or talk down to me. Ive been going to RVFD for about ten years now after going without any dental care for a very long time. The work they did in the beginning to get me back on track has held up beautifully and their routine cleanings and home care advice have helped me to noticeably improve my teeth and gums, not just just maintain them. Courteous, professional, and honest. I highly recommend them.

Ive been going to this place for about 3 years. They are familiar with my insurance and what my benefits cover. I came in for a routine cleaning and the lady at the front desk said that I was due for service I had already received earlier in the year. My insurance covers the procedure once a year and the front desk made the mistake of booking it twice (it was not necessary to have it done again). She has my chart and knows what Ive had done in my prior visit. Ive never had an issue in the past....Nevertheless she made a mistake and misinformed the dentist on what needs to be done. Fast forward a month and I received a bill stating my insurance didnt cover the extra unnecessary procedure and I was required to pay. I addressed Rio vista family about the issue as to why they would add a procedure that wasnt necessary and now Im being asked to pay out of pocket. They admitted the mistake but refused to reimburse me. I decided to take my business elsewhere. For that they get 2 stars.

Absolutely amazing! I’ve been with them for at least 8 years and have never been disappointed. I came in for a routine cleaning today (my first since they have reopened amidst the pandemic) and was impressed with the level of cleanliness and dedication to making sure I was safe and their employees were safe. I work as a local ICU nurse and am very familiar with the amount of necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) needed to ensure safety- they get an A+. Great experience! Everyone is super nice and down to earth and the office is very clean. I haven’t been to the dentist in a long time so I was not looking forward to it. Angela did a great job with my X-rays. I gag easily and she made sure I was comfortable and took the X-rays very quickly. Camille did my cleaning and did a fantastic job. I was extremely nervous it was going to be very painful since it had been so long. She was very thorough and made me feel at ease the whole time. Dr. Reyes went through what I need to have done and was extremely nice. I won’t be nervous at all while she fixes my teeth. From the friendly, down to earth staff to the great location with tons of parking I highly recommend Rio Vista Family Dentistry to whoever needs a place to go. You will be glad you did!

Today was my first visit at Rio Vista Family Dentistry and I am so impressed! Every person I encountered was professional, friendly, and very transparent about what was going to happen next throughout the exam/cleaning. Daisy was so helpful at getting me set up and helping with my xrays. Dr. Lockwood was wonderful, she is so sharp! Shes everything I would expect from someone deemed an expert in her field, and more.Jen is the best hygienist Ive ever met. She is so knowledgeable and I learned so much about what goes on in my gums and which factors affect certain outcomes. 40 years of dental visits and I just now learned how bacteria gets into gums (and how quickly it can do damage), how that causes build-up, the difference between plaque and tartar, and how to be proactive about avoiding all that! She is truly passionate about oral hygiene and educating others about it. Thank you for teaching me, Jen!

I was so happy (and lucky) to find this dentist! I had been searching for a new dentist to do my bi-annual visits and cleanings but my teeth had other plans when my crown randomly popped off!I was so nervous about the cost and what it would take to fix, not to mention low on time since this happened during a busy work week.But not only were they able to squeeze me in for an emergency appointment THE VERY NEXT DAY, they had me in the chair, X-Rays done, inspection of my tooth for cavity and removal of excess cement completed, and my crown re-cemented on my tooth within an hour.I am SO impressed and grateful!! I will definitely be going back to them for my visits. Each member of the staff was incredibly kind and the doctor spent time and talked with me as if I was the only patient she had all day (while I’m fully aware she had a very busy schedule).CANNOT RECOMMEND ENOUGH!! But I will recommend calling in advance for cleanings since the secret is out that they’re amazing and they do hook up very quickly and far in advance. :)

I took my daughter after a couple years of avoiding the dentist (horrible experience at a prior place) the staff were extremely patient and understanding with her. They were aware of her dental anxieties and couldnt be more thankful for that. Im beyond happy to have found Dr. Reyes and her team.

Excellent care with necessary COVID precautions. Felt completely comfortable and they did a thorough job cleaning these COVID teeth. Extra dirty from the dumb rush to get a bunch of groceries one normally wouldn’t eat. Who the heck needs 2 pounds of shredded sharp cheddar?

The only reason I didn’t give a 5 star is because it’s always hard to schedule an appointment because they are always booked for weeks at a time. I guess that’s a good thing on the business side but as a customer it’s hard to reschedule as there are not many options open at times ... other than that I highly recommend!

Never thought Id leave a 5 star for any dentist office! 😂 But everyone was great, from the front desk doing intake, to the tech doing xrays, to the dentist herself. Atmosphere was much less stale than most dentists. Everything super sparkly clean. I work just down the street so Ive already recommended them to one of my coworkers.

Update: Year 4 - I had an appointment scheduled for today in the late afternoon. They called me to see if I wanted to come in earlier since they had a last minute cancellation. I asked them how long the appointment would be and they said it would be 30-45 min. I was able to fit that into my schedule so I accepted. The appointment took 1.5hrs and I missed a work meeting. From my experience, over the years the time management has gotten worse. I use to get in, and the doctor would see me within a few minutes. Nowadays, I will sometimes sit in the chair and browse my phone for 10-15 min before something happens.Very friendly and knowledgeable. Answered all of my questions and gave explanations when asked. Been my dentist for 1+ years at the time of this review. Would recommend.

Rio Vista Family Dentistry is amazing. Everyone from the front desk, to the hygienist, all the way up to the doctor are very kind and welcoming people. I went in thinking that I had an appointment, but I came on the wrong day and they still allowed me to be seen 😊. My hygienist made me feel very comfortable and engaged in conversation with me which distracted me from what was going on inside my mouth. The doctor thoroughly explained to me the future procedures that I would need done. After my appointment the receptionist took the time out to break down what my future payments would look like for the dental work that I would need done, and gave me extra information on other ways to pay. This dentist office really cares for their patients and it shows in more ways than one.
