This was the most extensive dental work I’ve ever had done, and literally my least stressful appointment EVER!!Everyone made me feel so comfortable and at ease. They didn’t keep me waiting, I was through the front door, checked in and in the chair going to sleep within 10 minutes. The anesthesiologist said a guided meditation in my ear as I gently relaxed into sleep. The surgery itself was super quick and even the recovery was so much easier than I expected. They even helped me find no interest financing.I HIGHLY recommend Dr Koshgerian and his team; especially if you have an extreme dentist phobia like me.

Best surgeons/staff ever. You’d be mistaken to have an oral surgery done by anyone else!! They are kind, always available, and have more than one surgeon so they don’t make you wait for months to get your procedures done. I got my wisdom teeth out and an implant done (one surgery with Dr.K and one with Dr.Shelton). Every experience was a good one.

They were very informative they made me feel comfortable and stayed on top of everything and I have a fear of dentist but I would highly recommend everybody here especially of course the doctor they seem very caring and genuine and I will go back again when needed.

My boyfriend got his wisdom teeth removed here and we had the best experience. Everyone in the office is extremely nice and very thorough. His recovery went great, and the Doctor made sure to call hours after to check on him. I highly recommended them to everyone!

I was a little nervous about getting my procedure done but their positive attitude really helped me feel at ease. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. They explained procedure and cost/ insurance coverage upfront so I knew what to expect. I loved their use of technology to help me get a better understanding of what they were going to do. Very knowledgeable staff. All in all it was a great experience.

After Dr. Shelton examined me, he did not do proper informed consent. He did not give me the two options for anesthesia (he instead assumed that I wanted to go under general anesthesia and did not even mention that there was an option of local anesthesia). He then started to walk out of the room without asking if I had any questions. When I said that he had not answered my questions as part of the informed consent process, he said the nurse was going to provide the rest of the informed consent.

Great and professional staff. Warm and welcoming. Was in and out for a tooth extraction in no time flat. Very knowledgeable and highly experienced. Answered all my questions and concerns with empathy and facts.

The whole process went very smoothly from the first consult to the post treatment follow up. Dr. Koshgerian explained the issue, why it needed surgery and presented options for a short term and longer term treatment plan. He has a very transparent, friendly style which put me at ease right off the bat. The support staff is also very efficient and friendly. Usually terrified of the dentist, they did a great job at the oral surgery and implant specialist of San Diego of putting me at ease , extracting a difficult tooth w long roots and prepping it for an implant. I came in to have the remainder of my wisdom teeth removed. Years ago, I had 1 extracted at a dental office on the East Coast and the experience wasnt pleasant so it took years for me to want to have the procedure again. I walked into the Oral Surgery & Dental Implant office with reservations however the friendly staff answered all my questions and made me feel confident to proceed with the surgery. It has been a month since the surgery and everything has been healing great. Dr. Kosgerian was personable and attentive. I would highly recommend Dr. K and his team for your dental needs.

Dr. Shelton was very welcoming during the initial wisdom teeth consultation. He was very informative regarding the overall operation and made me feel confident with the whole procedure. Come operation day, I was welcomed into the operation theater by the nurse and was even offered a blanket as it was a bit chilly. After the surgery was over, I was transitioned into the recovery room while my roommate was debriefed on how to care for the next few days. I was given a very informative pamphlet regarding what to expect for the recovering week. Highly recommended practice! I came to Dr. Shelton when I needed wisdom teeth and mesioden removal. Both times I had surgery, including the dreaded IV for anesthesia, I was set at ease by Dr. Shelton and the staff. Ive never had pain-- only soreness-- after my procedures, and had quick and easy recoveries; given that my molars were bony and impacted, this demonstrates the experience of everyone in the operating room. The receptionists were amazing too! Kudos all around; theres no one else I would trust and recommend than the Oral Surgery & Dental Implant Specialists of San Diego.

Went hear for a second opinion for my wisdom teeth extraction and they were half the price of the other place I had gone. I was in and out of the surgery and had no issues. I even got a $55 refund because my insurance covered more than initially what was quoted.

Dr. K and his staff were all top notch across the board! Very caring, friendly and always take the time to do the little things. Given the need to have a tooth extracted, I could not conceived of a better experience from consultation, x-rays, prep for surgery, surgery and follow-up. At each step, all of my questions were answered in detail. There were no surprises. I was prepared for each element in the process. I had an excellent experience with Dr. Koshgerian. At my first appointment they went over my options and their costs, providing me with a printout breaking down the cost of the procedure for each option. He also made sure he answered all of my questions both at the initial visit and before the procedure. I went for an implant and everything went very well, I havent had any issues. Its a place where they make sure you feel comfortable and that you understand what is going on at each step of the process, I highly recommend this office!

My experience with Oral Surgery was 5 stars. Even though I had to miss my procedure because of being admitted to the hospital, the office staff called numerous times to see how I was doing. I have never had a business do this before. This would have been my second time with Oral Surgery & it was just as nice the first time.

After experiencing a painful and worrisome tooth infection, I was thankfully referred to Dr Shelton for treatment. I could not have asked for a more friendly and caring staff. I had virtually no wait time and his state of the art equipment was able to identify my issue immediately. In addition, Dr Shelton used a concise video prompt to walk me through the surgery. I literally had all my questions answered within moments! We decided together the best course of action which was removing the tooth and I was taken to the in-house surgical room to take care of my issue on the spot. The staff preparing me were warm and gentle, not to mention Dr Sheltons bedside manner was very soothing and comforting.Recovery was a breeze and thanks to Dr Shelton’s expertise, my healing went without a hitch. I needed only Advil for my minimal pain. I’m so grateful to The Oral Surgery Dental Implant Specialists and their wonderful care.

The procedure itself was so quick and absolutely painless, he doesn’t take any chances with the numbing😄 And his assistant was the kindest dental assistant ever! Didn’t catch her name but she was so sweet and made me feel so comfortable. I was in and out and on my way, and the healing process was also a breeze. 10/10 would recommend!

I came in for a tooth extraction and preparation for an implant. The staff was incredibly friendly and professional. Dr Koshgerian is a Maverick. Within a short time I was put under and came to with the procedure done. I have had ZERO pain or swelling for the procedure and am healing super fast. If you have been putting off a well needed surgery like I was, wait no longer. I could not recommend these guys more!

As someone who usually hates the dentist office, I have to say this experience with The Oral Surgery & Dental Implant Specialists of San Diego has been wonderful. I went into their Moraga location for my final tooth extraction (it was 10 years overdue) two days after my birthday. (Great birthday present right!?) Well it ended up not being so bad after all. The entire process from consultation to extraction to follow-up was smooth, easy and reassuring. The office personnel are all very friendly and easy to talk with. For the finishing touch, they assured me that they will work with my insurance to cover as much as can be before sending a final bill in the mail. I highly recommend this location.

Nervous about my first implant. So glad I did surgery here. Office staff friendly and helpful. Great atmosphere. Assistants knowledgeable and explained, along with pictures, entire procedure. Office immaculate, Dr. Koshgerian extremely talented, knowledgeable, using the latest equipment, performed a perfect implant.

I really cant say enough good things about my wisdom tooth extraction experience here! Every person involved, from the front desk staff to the nurses to the oral surgeon, made me feel so safe, comfortable and reassured from my consultation all the way to my follow up appointment. As someone who struggles with needles and doctors, I had been dreading this procedure since I was a kid but it turned out to be a piece of cake! I was pain free in no time after the procedure, I never developed dry sockets and I had no nausea from the anesthesia. From the surplus of hospitality evident to the easy care before and after my surgery, everything seemed to run smoothly and safely. I was fortunate enough to spend double the usual amount of time in the surgical room, the first time a little more memorable than the second because I was able to shadow Dr. Koshgerian as he operated on my older brother. I was able to see his professionalism and tact from just a foot away, and seeing the entire process—both during and after the surgery—vanquished any qualms I had before I, too, had my wisdom teeth removed. The kindness that emanates from all aspects of the office is contagious; by my second time in the office, the doctors and receptionists remembered my name with a grin and followed up with friendly conversation. Went into the Oral surgery of San Diego with wisdom teeth that needed to be yanked, badly. I was in pain and needed to see a doctor ASAP.After calling and explaining that I needed to see the doctor sooner than my appointment, Getze scheduled me an hour after our phone call. While the appointment was only a consultation, after examining me, Dr. Shelton asked if I could do the surgery that morning because of the condition I was in, which I gladly accepted.Dr. Shelton and his staff helped comfort me when I was nervous about going under anesthesia for the first time.
