About twenty years ago, after having braces, my upper and lower gums started receding. I underwent gum grafts in which donor tissue from my upper palate was grafted to my gums. Over the years, the procedure unfortunately failed to prevent further gum recession.Recently, I had Dr. Mirkhan perform the latest effective grafting technique which applies donor gum tissue directly onto the recessed area, over the exposed roots. Some of my top teeth and most of my bottom teeth needed the procedure, with some teeth having 3 to 4 millimeter recession.The results were amazing! My teeth are now between 95-100% covered by gum tissue where they need to be! The gums are strong and healthy. Im no longer worried about sensitive teeth or damaging the roots of my teeth when I brush. Couldn’t be happier!Dr. Mirkhan is very professional, meticulous, and conscientious in her work. She takes the time to fully explain to you what to expect before, during, and after any procedure she performs. I love her warm and friendly personality.
