Very pleased with the care I received! Dr. Chalmers was very clear about the issue with my shoulder and was able to get me in for surgery very quickly. I was expecting to be down for quite a while, but I have much less pain and much more mobility than I expected. I wish I would have gone in sooner.
Told me I was a drug seeking crazy person who self dislocates my shoulders to get drugs and referred me to psych.. A year later I was diagnosed with severe Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia. As an ortho he should have given me the Beighton Scale test (I score 9/9 on it) instead he decided to act like a complete a**hole. Traumatized by the complete lack of compassion and understanding at the U. Now I refuse to go to the hospital for dislocations I cant get back in socket by myself. I suffer through them and have a friend that puts them back in for me. This now not only includes my shoulders, but I have deteriorated and my elbows,, knees, hips and ankles now dislocate. I did not receive appropriate treatment for my EDS for over 2 years. Thanks a lot, Chalmers. Total jerk. Dont waste your time with this creep.
Dr. Chalmers is a savior. I went to him with a torn rotator cuff that had been torn for 8 years. When he showed me the before photos, I was shocked by how much damage was in there. Dr. Chalmers fixed me up good as new. I never thought I would ever be pain free in my arm again, but here I am happy as can be. Dr. Chalmers is nothing short of a miracle.
Dr. Chalmers recently repaired my injured rotator cuff. He checked in the day before surgery to see if I had any question, and made a follow up call the day after to check on my recovery. This kind of personal care is something I dont often see.I highly recommend his services if you require them.
I can not comment on his skills as a surgeon or even as a Doctor of Medicine. But I will say that after my most recent conversation with him I impressed with him as a person.I was referred to him to repair my shoulder via the VA.I did ultimately switch surgeons, but I feel like it is a situation of a doctor being hampered by the facility he was working in as well as poor communication practices of that facility. After speaking with Dr. Chalmers I feel like any patient he has will receive attentive care.
He is awsome
