This is the best Hospice company that I have ever seen. I had the pleasure of working with them for both of my parents and couldnt have been happier. The nurses went above and beyond just the routine care of both parents. They were there not just for their physical needs but for emotional and mental as well. The nurse and nurses aid my mom worked with gave her back her dignity and never made her feel like she wasnt a person. When the nurse came to our house it was like the only patient that she had was my mom. There was never a feeling of being rushed and that she had to leave because there were a lot more people to see. I know she had more patients however you never felt like you were just a number. I will be forever grateful to this company for the support, kindness, and care they showed my mother and my father. They are the best!

I recently had the good fortune to work with First Choice Home Health following a total knee replacement. I dont typically write reviews, but this team deserves a nod!I cant imagine any way in which this company could be improved. From the moment I first called them, their communication and follow up has been fantastic. The nurses and physical therapists that have come to our home have been uniformly professional, insightful, and genuinely enjoyable to have around (which is key - I have young kids and theyre like like radar detectors for quality people, lol). Theyve also really gone the extra mile in helping me ask the right questions to ensure that my recovery goes as planned. An absolutely first rate team. I should add that this is my second surgery of this kind (skiing injuries catching up early!) so I do have a previous experience to compare it to...and really there is no comparison. Im a huge fan and couldnt recommend them more!

I would recommend 1st Choice Home and Hospice to anyone needing this service. We had home care for a little while a couple of different times. The most recent time, we had a wonderful nurse and physical therapist. Then my elderly father got sicker and he required hospice care. I cant say enough about the care he received with the nurses and CNA who came to help him. We also were lucky enough to have an amazing Chaplain, Wayne, who took care of our spiritual needs. Between Wayne (who was with us when our father died) and Amanda, they helped make this very difficult day bearable. We also appreciate the continued service of Wayne, who is helping us come to terms with so many aspects of death. Thank you.

The visiting RN lied a few times and often times did not show up during her scheduled weekly appointments. For example, when going through my mom in law’s daily pills she notified me the multivitamins she was taking were “prescription strength”. I thought that very odd since I was purchasing them from Costco over-the-counter and the only prescription my MIL takes is Losartan. That was the first of many weird things she would say so I called our doctor and had to verify almost everything she would say during her visits. Ultimately, he advised me to switch home health companies. The new home health company’s communication is straightforward, always on time for appts, and I’m not completely being lied to about nonsensical matters.

Not sure I would recommend. The social worker told patient she had 2 months to live and sent her in a spiral. She is in no way dead and will probably live another 1 to 2 years. Should be far more careful about her non medical opinion. On top of that you try to get forms completed for insurance we are on the third try and still not done. Might just be the team we got, but may want to look around 1st.

My husband and I interviewed many hospice places prior to his death.First choice came to the hospital with a social worker and charge nurse. They together were able to tell us everything they do for us as well as answer every single one of our questions. The confidence and professionalism they had felt very reassuring. When we were sent home, my husbands sister rode in the transport vehicle. She told me how wonderful the driver was and how comforting his words were to her and my husband2 nurses came to our house, Tammy and tracie. Both were so amazing and so loving. I couldn’t have asked for a better team.Tracie explained everything and helped me understand what to expect. This was so helpful. Death is not always pretty. She let me know what is normal and how to know if my husband was in any pain and what to do.We had one CNA come by. She was very kind and gentle with my husband. My husband was only home 2 days. Tracie checked on me quite a bit. I appreciated this so much. I really felt she cared for my family. She came right away when I let her know my husband had passed.Going through such an emotional, heart breaking and life changing situation I would never choose any other company. They truly care about you and will make this as easy as possible.
