WORST DR. EVER!!!! I had to go to This fraud of a Dr. because he was in my network. The first red flag was when he demanded I come in for an emergency visit before hours so he could tell me information that he had told me on a previous visit and bill my insurance for a very unnecessary visit that cost me a co-pay of specialist prices at a single mother, single income- financially struggling patient!! He didn’t even acknowledge my levels or have me do any labs just a visit to repeat information and charge me extra!!! Then when I called to get my prescription refilled he didn’t even know the dosage and argued that I should come in for another visit even though I had a scheduled appointment the following week... I then cancelled the services as I didn’t feel he cared or even knew anything about my condition!!! Fast Forward to a few weeks later I get a bill for no show on an appointment I canceled and whenever I tried to call to dispute it was constantly his answering service that only took Emergancy calls... so that crooked Dr. took me to collections and garnished my check during a pandemic!!!! BIGGEST CROOK EVER!!!!!!!!

Even though we didnt get to the bottom of my medical issues. Dr. Benowitz listened and asked detailed questions. He was thorough in his analysis of notes and laboratory results. I was impressed with his professional and friendly Office Manager/Nurse.

Not friendly at all. This guy also is not aware of some major technological advances in medicine (yes sir it is possible for a monitor to pick up on something medical about my heart. In fact it did). Had medical records sent before my appointment however he didn’t have them. So I produced digital copies and he got frustrated and then chewed me out about not having paper copies of everything (that’s like a whole forest of trees worth of paper you wanted printed because you can’t work a computer) and despite having a diagnosis confirmed by bloodwork, he said my diagnosis was wrong because of other symptoms and told me to discontinue my much needed medication—which he should know can result in death (yes this disease is deadly when left untreated). My husband said something to me while he was reading my med records and he snapped at my husband. While looking through my other diagnoses he acted like I was an idiot for something being incorrect in my medical records as if I was the one who put it in. It was only one small error and easily fixable got lectured on it... anyways I went back to the doctor who sent me to see an endocrinologist. I do have the issue I got sent for. This guy should not be practicing medicine anymore.

I have never had to wait. Very thorough, excellent doctor. If you have to wait it’s worth it!

Very poor service. If you are 5 minutes late they will not see you. But they can make you sit there for 1.5 hours to see the doctor. The doctor billed me 2 times for the same blood work and would not refund my money. He was very hard to work with and didnt listen to what my problems were. I had very low T and instead of any help or suggestions all he said was to see a nutritionist.I went to another doc and she told me that my testosterone was converting to estrogen and that was causing my low T and weight gain.Dr Benowitz office was old, outdated and not very clean.

Dr. Benowitz literally saved my life. I cannot recommend him enough! He has worked with my family on issues related to pituitary, thyroid, and parathyroid hormones. We had issues with blood calcium, testosterone, kidney stones, prolactin, and growth hormone, and we went to three endocrinologists before we finally found him. He was incredibly thorough, and finally helped us resolve some issue that had been missed/ignored by previous doctors. Due to changes in insurance, I have since moved on to another doctor, but Ill forever be grateful that I found Dr. Benowtiz when I did.

Went to see Dr Benowitz. Would not recommended. His advice was outdated and he did not address my concerns. I was inappropriately touched by Dr Benowitz during my visit. Filed complaint with SLPD. Will never go back again.
