Completely uninterested in treating patients. Had a referral sent in along with my medical records, and I received a call asking why I wanted to switch providers because the PA “felt it was best to stay with my current provider.” That’s not her call. Believe me, I would if insurance allowed it, but I’m definitely not going here now!

I saw PA “Annie” she does a wonderful job of making you feel very comfortable! I felt heard and that my needs were well considered. Thanks Annie!!

Robert Bridge, MD - recently performed a colonoscopy on my behalf. I found that Dr. Bridge was extremely professional and a highly skilled doctor. He has a wonderful bedside manner and he took his time answering my many questions. Also, he and his staff sent me the results, of the polyps removed, of the procedure - less than a week. Great job!!I highly recommend Dr. Bridge to anyone who is thinking about having the dreaded - back-end - procedure done.I also deeply appreciate the nurses - Lynne and Sonia. They are compassionate, caring and extremely accommodating. Lynne - YOURE THE BEST. Thank you so very much.Sincerely, Dan Maroney

I know this is a long post but a must read before you choose to go to Utah Gastroenterology. Trying to just get this place to make you an appointment as a new patient has been a nightmare. I was referred to them by my primary care doctor and my insurance. They wouldn’t make me an appointment until they received the medical records for my colonoscopy last September. They were already booked out until September for Dr Trowbridge. The medical record place said if Dr Trowbridge’s office sent them a fax request they would send the records to them in 24 to 48 hours. Dr Trowbridge’s office said they would call me when they received them to make me an appointment. Seven days later I called them back and they still hadn’t received my records. So I called that place and they informed me they mailed them instead of faxed them. So I called Trowbridge and they said as soon as they received them , again they would call me to make an appointment. Now ten days out, I called Trowbridge and they received my records two days ago but did not call me back to make an appointment, so I asked to make one. They said they can’t because Trowbridge needs to review the records to see what the other doctor has to say about me. I explained that my primary care doctor thinks I may have a hiatal hernia. I explained that in September I went in for my ten year colonoscopy. My primary care doctor told me to call IMC to set it up. I did, I went in for the procedure. A doctor walked in and told me he would be doing the procedure. After it was done, I left. I have never seen that doctor before then or since then, I don’t even know his name so I can’t understand why my colonoscopy results has anything to do with me seeing Trowbridge to determine if I have a hiatal hernia. They said it is their policy that he needs to look at those results which usually takes two days and then he will give me a recommendation on what I should do and they will call me and let me know what that is. Unbelievable. I just want to see a doctor so they can tell me if I have a hiatal hernia. In the end is he going to just give me a recommendation and not see me. I have never experienced such a run around. I should have called the other doctor my insurance suggested. I chose Trowbridge because he was highly recommended and is a great doctor and had a five star rating, however I looked up Utah gastroenterology and they have a 2.4 star rating and most people have given them a one star rating and now I know why.

NEVER, EVER USE THESE PROVIDERS!!! Ive been trying to get an order for a test sent for 5 weeks! Its now a medical emergency because the staff at the clinic is useless & still hasnt sent the order. My primary care doc sent a lab report 4 weeks ago - Dr. Wills staff cant find it.Theyve promised multiple times to send the order to radiology 4 times in the last 10 days. Im still waiting...!My other doctor left EIGHT MESSAGES for Dr. Wills! Crickets! Its considered rude for one doc to ignore another, but Dr.Wills apparently believes he is above all that! He never returned the doctors calls! Now, Im headed to the ER, close to death. This is clear malpractice! Shame on these fixtures...

Horrible. My 88 year old dad had appointment last week. Many issues. He saw the PA Annie who I have been trying for two days to call me back to explain lab results. I am told she is in clinic and too busy. I implored them that it was imperative she call me back. No such luck. I did not make the initial appointment nor chose the practice to treat my dads needs...so decided to see how rated on Google. Wow. Very bad reviews. It looks like if you have a loved one with a GI problem this is NOT the group to go to...far from it! I will be looking for a substitution on Monday. Hopefully this group will improve its customer/patient relations and bedside manner....still hoping the physician skill sets are adequate otherwise this practice does not have much to offer at all.

I would give a 0 if I could. You can never get in to see the doctor. They dont return calls for several days, if at all. How can you have patients in pain, on medications prescribed by this office for treatment not under control and not able to schedule an appt. for weeks???

I was having abdominal pains for the past few days and decided to make an appoint to see a doctor. I called Utah Gastroenterology (1250 E 3900 S Ste 360 Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, UT 84124) and the receptionist made me an appoint for the following day at 10am. I was a bit hesitant to take the appoint at first because it wasnt the doctor I was asking for. She was a bit pushy asking me several times if I wanted the appoint so I took it and she said I could call to cancel if I wanted. The next morning I was feeling better and did not feel the need to see a doctor. I called at 8am when they opened to cancel the appoint and was told I would be charged a $50 cancellation fee. This was upsetting as I explained how I just made the appoint yesterday and it was not made clear to me there would be a cancellation fee. The receptionist only told me that I could call back to cancel but never mentioned a fee. She said she has no control over this. This is not true .. She has all the control to let patients know of these fees when appointments are made. It is ironic I cancelled my appoint to save money since didnt feel ill enough to need to see a doctor, yet I still need to spend money for absolutely no service provided.

Went to see Blair Monell after an ER visit for gallbladder issue symptoms, abdominal pain, and not being able to keep food/drinks down for 2 days. She was very nice, and listened to me. She was clear about what tests she would have me take, but I expected some sort of follow up within a week of each test for being emergency-status. The radiology department always sent them my tests right away. They do not follow up at all, when I do call to request feedback from a test there is hardly any explanation and the doctors wont speak to me or call back.Very low sense of urgency here, I have to call to follow up to get any sort of results from the few expensive tests theyve ordered me to take. Their phone line closes earlier than they say apparently as well, even though today is not a holiday. One more test to go through, and if they still cant figure out whats been causing my chronic stomach issues for 4 years I will hopefully find another specialist who cares about their patients on some level.I do not recommend going here, its been a big waste of time & money so far.

Doctor Bridge is a complete monster! I have had issues with my small bowel for years. Went to emergency and was told entire small bowel was swollen and that I needed to be seen ASAP. They referred me to this monster who didnt give me an examination or listen to my concerns. Simply told me to go see my family doctor to get on psychotropics and that emergency had lied to me just to get rid of me. Mind you at that point I could feel the intestine rubbing on my ribs. He told me to stop taking the antibiotics emergency had put me on because there is no point in taking them. I tried to file a complaint, only to be told there was nowhere I could file a complaint as he was one of the owners. To add insult to injury, this quack is sending me bills for $250 for doing absolutely nothing but demean and abuse me! I would NEVER recommend Utah Gastroenterology!!! Worst experience of my life!

Im so upset. My husband has been so sick for months. He started seeing Dr wills the end of October. My husband has really no concept of time and forgets key things. So I go in with him to his appointment and MR wills ignores all my concerns. Refuses to talk directly to me. I requested that he administered a test for diabetic gastroparisis. NOPE administered all other test besides. He basically could have slapped me in the face several times and I would have walked out of there feeling better. My husband has been so sick that we cant waist time looking for anew doctor. He has lost over 50 lbs. in 3 months. So the first testing was done and 3 and a half weeks later we receive a letter in the mail saying the test were normal. Why wouldnt he call or his nurse. There were biopsys done that we were so worried he had cancer ( because dr. wills does not communicate what the biopsys were for). In the clear for that. My husband called and apparently he wants him to go in for a cats can. never would have been done if WE didnt call him. So my husband called the hospital to schedule a cat scan. AGAIN no call. 2 and a half weeks later my husband is now in Reno failure because he is so sick and nothing is getting resolved from this Doctor. The Doctor at the hospital listened to me and feels that my first instinct is right and he might have gastroparisis. Test are being done and hopefully this nightmare is over. DO NOT GO TO THIS DR. his agenda is to get money from insurance companies by administering unnecessary tests. HEY DR WILLS Im not a stupid woman without a degree. Im a loving and caring wife that is scared out of my mind my husband is going to die at 41 years old. Start caring about your patients and trust that even the wife might know a little more than you think she does and your reviews might get better. Stop taking on so many patients that you cant care for them the way they need and maybe you would get respect in your community.

Had a urgent referral sent over and scheduled an appointment unfortunately I got sick and was admitted to the hospital. Now they won’t see me because I’ve seen one other gastroenterologist in 4 years. He is also the one that suggested I seek other doctor. So the reason you wont see me is because the I saw another gastroenterologist yet the same doctor is telling me to seek another persons opinion. I thought your job was to help people in need not turn them away when they have everything in order. You should rethink your slogan to “The Hippocratic oath are more like guidelines anyway”

We have been through the ringer with them. Worst experience. We went and got a second opinion from a doctor at granger and we absolutely loved her we found out more in 4 hours from her then we found out in almost 2 months from Utah gastro. We will not be going back. The staff is rude you can’t get them to do anything for you. Oh and if you need to be put on work leave don’t plan on them signing it because they refused. Dr Wills made him do a endoscopy, colonoscopy and every single time he just said it was swollen and he didn’t know what was wrong and after the colonoscopy it took 2 weeks for them to give us the results after we had called them twice that day to see if they were in and after they gave us the results they never said let’s do a follow up appointment it was kind of a get lost we don’t know what’s wrong with you. So we go to this dr at granger and she went over his labs 15 diffrent times and said I see some concerning things from the colonoscopy so I want to start you on steroids immediately. Why the hell didn’t wills do this??? Or why didn’t wills tell us about the concerns from the colonoscopy instead of just telling us oh it was just inflamed from the prep work. I have honestly never been so disappointed and mad about a doctor and his office. If you want a good doctor and awesome staff go to granger medical gastroenterology in west valley we went to the nurse practitioner Jackie Wilkerson and she works under Dr olshner. He was off the day that we went and she called him and called us multiple times through out the day to explain test results, labs etc.
