Dr. Engelen and his staff provided such an excellent experience for me. It didn’t feel rushed at all which is often the case for me with medical visits. The Dr. took his time to explain everything in detail so I felt comfortable and capable of making the right decisions for treatment. I’m very pleased!

Dr Engelen is a great Sports Med doc, always polite and thorough. And his assistant Rachael is hands down the best there is! Anytime I have a question about my injury and what I can and can’t do while healing, she’s always very prompt in calling me back and taking care of me.

Dr. Engelen was friendly, attentive and very knowledgeable. He rapidly understood what my issues are, and offered some excellent Therapies. His assistant Rachel was likewise excellent. As a retired MD, Ive spent a lot of time observing how Physicians practice. Dr Engelen and Rachel are outstanding in every way.

I came in the office to have a shot in my right knee! Dr. Engelen checked my xray, he showed me where the arthritis has it bone on bone. He did drain my knee of fluid and then gave the cortisone! Today, I have no pain in my knee! Im grateful for the relief!!Sally Jill Murdock

Dr. Engels was very kind and knowledgeable. His staff was great too. I will definitely keep coming here and would definitely recommend him.

I went to see him after a car accident where I got a nasty neck injury. I thought he was not only smart but he and his staff were very enjoyable. And after we concluded and I did some exercises with the PTA he would keep popping back in with another bit of advice and another. I felt he was being thorough in making sure I knew what to expect and that I was being cared for.

I went to see Dr Engelen for evaluation of new hip pain. The office was very well organized and they were able to get me in quickly. Both Dr Engelen and his assistant were very personable, and Dr. Engelen is clearly a very skilled physician. He did a thorough exam, had xrays done right there in his office and interpreted them at the time of my visit. I appreciated that because at other offices you often have to come back to hear results and make a plan. I felt I was in very good hands with Dr Engelen, and I also very much appreciated his outstanding bedside manner.

Doctor good but office is the worst office I have ever dealt with!! Have been trying for a week to get a prescription and the office always has an excuse for it not going out. Also had an appointment at 3pm one day. I arrived to the appointment to find out that the doctor did not come in due to a family emergency. The office staff sat around on their butts all day and didn’t think to call the patients to try to reschedule so I had to drive 45mins to this appointment for nothing. 😡

I have been to Dr Engelen several times and he is nothing short of AWESOME! He is kind, professional and he really listens to you! He takes the time & steps needed to see what works best for you. Its never generic help! I have not had any trouble with billing and his recommendations for therapy was excellent! The only trouble I did have was trying to get an apt since he moved his office, not sure why I couldnt find it online, so here is the new location I just saw him at today is 82 S 1100 E Suite 303 salt lake city, 84102. If you cant tell already...I HIGHLY Recommend him if you want 5 star treatment from him and his wonderful nurse!

Dr. Engelen and his assistant are awesome!!! I saw him for knee pain after surgery didnt seem to make things better. His approach is whole body and he seemed to sincerely want to help me and is very knowledgeable on many alternatives to a lifetime of pain meds. I was involved in a pretty substantial car accident. After all the surgeries Ive had, I trust him to manage my continued care as long as hes willing to put up with me.

I was hit by a vehicle few years ago while crossing the street. My family physician referred me to doctor Robert in April of 2017. Ive gone to see him twice since, both times I received a referral for clinics that were non referral based and wanted me to handle my own insurance billing. After being reassured by everyone not to go where he had referred me red flags,I asked him a 3rd time if we could get it right, he never got back to me and sent me to collections for my 2nd bill. Even though service clearly had not been provided. I have reported this to my physician and they have reassured me that they have taken him off their reference list. Just a heads up for people who looking to get better. All you will receive here is miss direction and a bill.

Dr Engelen went above and beyond with a back injury I had had for over 3 years. Where no other doctor could help me he worked one on one with my physical therapist and had me as good as new in 6 months. Super knowledgeable and friendly staff. I rarely ever waited for more than 5 minutes

I have dealt with many doctors in my lifetime and rarely have I had the experience I have had with Dr. Robert. Very few doctors I have known have taken the time to spend with their patient to actually understand what the problem is and go over all of the treatment options, in a manner in which you can make a clearly informed decision. I can not say enough good about Dr. Robert.

Not sure what the one star dudes talking about... he was great with me! Got me right in was thorough but fast and ordered my MRI and PHYS THERAPY. He was my second opinion after my primary care nurse practitioner (who knew nothing) wouldnt order it and thinks tingling fingers from spine is from a broken (not even close) wrist?!

Im a 57-year-old healthcare professional with an active lifestyle and busy practice. I sought treatment from Dr. Robert Engelen for a degenerative hip condition, diagnosed as osteoarthritis. I went to Dr Engelen for a second opinion on another orthopedic doctor and Dr Engelen was so much better. The difference between the two doctors I saw was huge! Dr Engelen looked into and tried several different things to try to find out what was causing my back and hip pain and ultimately found out that I have an inflammatory disease. He isnt in my insurance network and isnt close to where I live, but he was well worth it.
