Although it has been a few years since I saw Dr. Williams I read the reviews because I am referring a friend. She was the second neurologist I saw for migraines and what a difference she made for me. The first neurologist did not want to see me again because the first medicines we tried did not work. That doctor said she really did not think she could help me. Thank goodness for Dr. Williams. She worked with me and tweaked my medicines until we found the optimal dosages of 3 different prophylactic medicines that truly changed my life and reduced my daily migraines to a manageable level. It did take visits about every 3 months for a year, but then we had good success. Now, years later I rarely have migraines post menopause, as is sometimes the case. So I have not recently needed her care. However, I think she is wonderful. She also saw my daughter for migraines when she was a teen and she was so very kind and caring towards her. Migraines can be very tricky to treat, so if you can hang in there and keep an open mind, Dr. Williams can probably help you. She once said to me I may not be able to completely cure your migraines but I will always keep trying. That was when I thought this is the doctor for me.

My experience was awful. I saw her for a year to really put my best foot forward in getting answers. She is knowledgeable but her arrogance stops her from listening to her patients. Every. Single. Appointment I would try and give her a quick update and she would cut me off and insist that she ask the questions she needs to know. After a year I finally talked louder the. Her and said I feel like you need to know this ... I told her 10 seconds of information about me and she said “oh really!? Well that changes everything!” - meaning if she would have let me talk for 10 seconds at the beginning of the year we would have been headed in a more productive direction. I left and never went back.

This is the worst doctor I have ever seen. I have had migraines all of my life with little to no relief. She would not let me get a word in when I spoke about my migraines, as if she already knew all about what I was going through. When I did come in with a terrible migraine, she tried to speak to me while vomiting in the garbage and turned the lights on lights and asked me to speak up. She was annoyed when I told her the treatment she was using did not help and there was only one thing that worked. She proceeded with knowing this would help, so I let her and guess what it didn’t. So in the middle of my visit she was annoyed with me and transferred me to another doctor to use the treatment I knew has helped in the past. She is inconsiderate and believes she knows all. Do not see this doctor, she is the worst and a waste of money.

Dr Williams is the only doctor who could help me with my migraines. She may come off as a little gruff at first but she wants to get down to business so she can help you. She asks lots of questions and does thorough medical checks. She is an excellent caring doctor.

Dr Williams is a wonderful doctor and helped me to manage my migraines. They are few and fast between now where they used to be every few days.

Dorothy Williams does not listen to anything that you say. Our first visit she diagnosed my daughter with Chronic migraine disease would not listen to what we felt. Had to fight her to run any tests. Kept pushing med after med with out knowing why my 18 year old was having daily migraines since April. I trusted her even though in my gut I did not think it was chronic migraines. My 18 year old that has always been healthy was now taking 4 pills a day. I finally after 5 months of trying pill after pill took her to another Neuro doctor. She ran some tests and found out that she has sleep apnea and mild Narcolepsy. She is finally on her way to not having daily headaches. Her staff is AWFUL!! I understand that they deal with people that have these types of problems and maybe become a bit callus to it. But the patient (or patients mother) does not deal with it everyday and is scared when they see their child in pain or when they want to talk to the doctor only to find out the doctor does not even know that you have called.

She was too quick to write a prescription without even listening to me. I would not recommend her.
