I showed John some inspiration pictures, he really got my vision for what I liked about the inspiration pictures. He took my vision & made it better, cutting for my face shape. I felt like a million bucks after! And he was so fun to chat with :)

I loved John! He was very kind, honest, and fun to chat with. I don’t know anything about hair - especially my own hair type - and he was so willing to offer tips and advice on hair care/styling for my type. AND I loved how my cut turned out. The space is also very lovely.

I will tell you that there is no better salon anywhere. Period. I moved out of state and still come from California every couple months just to have Marisa do my cuts and coloring. Even living near LA, an acclaimed hairstyling mecca, I believe the quality and care for the client is unsurpassed at Dexterity. And it comes from every person working there, even if they don’t do your hair! Marisa is EXCEPTIONAL. My cuts/color receive compliments all the time and I have to give a shout out to Sam as well because she finds a way to make things happen, scheduling-wise, with a professional and upbeat manner EVERY TIME. Love my Dexterity fam! 🧡

I have been getting my hair cut for many many years and just got my haircut for the second time with Marisa. I can honestly say it is the best cut I have ever had! Marisa is so very talented and extremely skillful!

Excellent experience, love my cut by Calla! She was so patient and understanding when I told her it wasn’t as short as I wanted it, she literally had to cut my hair all over again, all while being very considerate. Calla answered all my questions and I scheduled another procedure in two weeks.Very clean, social distancing and masks on everyone.Parking can be a bit tricky, might be a good idea to advise clients about where to park before arriving for appointments.

I wouldn’t have anyone else cut my hair for Jeff Martin! He is amazing! I’m so grateful for what he can do with my fine thin hair. It is always such a pleasure to go into the small studio the vibration is always so perfect

So sad about dexterity. My mom has been going to Jeff for years. She is on a fixed income, and getting her hair done was her one treat to herself. The last few times her hair has been awful. The first time looked like nothing had been done, and the second time looked like I picked up bleach from wal-mart and did it myself. When she called the salon asking if they could fix it they told her she would need to purchase purple shampoo to fix it. I’m sorry, but after paying 250$ dollars for hair you should get something close to what you want - and I understand that doesn’t always happen, but at least work with her. She is very easy going and not hard to please. She cried for days feeling so ugly and defeated. Where is the loyalty to a customer that has been going to you for 20+ years. You can do better! Very disappointed.

Dexterity is the Jam , with over 20 years of sitting in Jeffs chair you cannot ask for a better experience. I feel valued as a customer , I walk out feeling like a million bucks and to me Dexterity is family. Not to mention how much fun I have every time in great conversation and valuable products! I had not had a salon hair cut in my whole life since my mother was a hair dresser and I was a little nervous having someone else do it but John was amazing!! He knew exactly what would flatter my face and fixed the “layers” I tried to do on my own. I will be coming back to him for sure!!

Right off the bat I felt welcomed and comfortable at Dexterity. The salon is clean and modern. John was so friendly, really listened to my vision for my hair, and gave me an amazing haircut! All of the products smelled great and the hair washing station was comfortable which was a great bonus. I feel so confident and happy about my hair. 10/10 for the cut and overall experience! I will definitely be calling John for my next hair appointment!

This is my favorite salon in SLC. John did a wonderful job! I showed him a reference but also encouraged any changes he think would be nice - the end result was even nicer than had I just went with the photo. Im so pleased!

Randi has been my stylist for nearly 10 years! She works wonders on my fine, thick, dry hair. When I leave it always feels so soft and healthy. She’s been awesome at helping me find cut and color options that are low maintenance (like I am)-though she’s truly an artist and can create any look you’re after. Dexterity is a top-notch salon and everyone works together like a family team. Highly recommend.

Just couldn’t love this place or the people more! Jeff is a gifted artist and Sam is everyone’s favorite — they make me feel like a million bucks, even if I’m only a $20 😉

John was amazing and very helpful in figuring out what to do with the feral hair that has been growing over the pandemic. The atmosphere is on point, and Sam, along with others there were incredibly friendly. Long story short, I’ll be going there and would highly recommend.

Randi was amazing. I wanted to go ginger I showed her the color I wanted and she got it exactly right. And told me how to style it so it looked extra fabulous.

I think Im in love with Calla. She was so personable without being all up in my business. She seemed to know what I wanted with my hair without me having to spend ten minutes explaining it. She gave me her honest opinion (which is so rare) which helped make me look amazing. AND she was speedy doing all of it! As a new mom, it is hard to run away so I appreciated a speedy haircut that looks like it spent hours. ;) Ive definitely found my new hairdresser!

Loved how Sadie cut my hair, effortlessly getting to know my preferences in her conversations. I didn’t come for a usual haircut, but wanted to donate some length of my hair too. She was extremely patient with the process and did everything whole heartedly :) she had some honest suggestions for hair products too and understood my choices to suggest samples and products.I had a great time at dexterity and it felt like an evening chatting away with a friend who’s styling your hair alongside.

I have been going to Dexterity Salon for 12 years now, and 10 of those years Ive been with the same stylist, Alexis. I love the salon, I feel like they know me and like I am seeing old friends whenever I have an appointment. Sam, their scheduler/admin/jack of all trades is always so nice to me and works really hard to get me appointment times that work with my crazy schedule. And I cant say enough good things about Alexis! I adore her. She is a fantastic stylist and even better human. I always feel better after spending a few hours with her, and not just because I leave with my hair looking gorgeous.

Dexterity has done an exemplary job during the pandemic. I felt very informed prior to arriving and safe upon arrival and throughout the appt, watching staff wipe continually their spaces and of course wear masks and require clients to do so.Marissa was great, as usual, spending the time to discuss color and getting it right on without even seeing it dried.Sam runs the show with a perpetualsmile and accommodating customer care.And the owner, Jeffrey, makes the place light up and fills it with laughter!The only downside was not being able to hug my hair family.

Can I pay to come in every week just to hang out with Kiwi? Every six weeks isnt enough. She is so freaking delightful and personable. Lucky for me, she is also crazy good at what she does. I always come in at like a 6, but I walk out fly as hell at a solid 9 (we cant all be Giselle).
