My memory was blurred about the surgery, and it was not until my post-op that I got the surgery notes and could fully appreciate the complex procedures Dr. Steren and his team performed. They saved my life! I am sincerely grateful for the experience with Dr. Steren’ team, and would recommend anyone with similar medical concerns.

Receiving a referral to an oncologist for an ovarian tumor was one of the most terrifying experiences I’ve ever had. After speaking with Dr. Steren, however, my fears were greatly allayed. To say he has a wonderful bedside manner would be an understatement. He took the time to carefully listen to my concerns and explain to me in layperson terms how a borderline tumor differed from an invasive cancer in order to put my fears to rest. After being diagnosed with several large fibroids and told I needed a hysterectomy, we did some research to find that Dr. Steren is one of the leading surgeons in the area for laparoscopic hysterectomies. At the consultation appointment, Dr. Steren carefully outlined my options and what the likely outcomes were. He patiently answered all our questions and displayed a calm demeanor. When we asked how many of these procedures he had performed, he confidently said thousands, with a conversion rate (to a regular hysterectomy) as less than 1%. Dr. Steren, Nadine Thompson, and the entire staff are outstanding. My procedure went better than I could have expected. I had very little pain afterwards and am recovering rapidly. Dr. Steren is an excellent surgeon, and I would recommend him without reservation.

Dr. Albert Steren is truly amazing. I had multiple fibroids, but one especially massive one and knew that surgery was my only option. I wanted to make sure I found the best surgeon. Prior to meeting Dr. Steren, I had already met with several physicians, but my gut told me to continue searching until I found the best physician and I thank God that I found him.
