Dr Makhoul is an extremely competent doctor. He performed a robotic assisted colon surgery with no complications. He is compassionate and has a warm and caring manner. It’s not every day you find that combination of skill and humanity. Forever grateful.

In 2018 my mother unexpectedly passed away after having surgery performed by this physician. Most people survive it but sadly she did not. As her only child this still has been difficult to process. This doctor exhibited cordial nature but my mother passed away on his watch. Not a day goes by that I don’t think about how soon he probably forgot her face after her passing. Excellent all around. Dr. Makhoul saw my stepdad on very short notice and performed an emergency procedure that resolved the problem within minutes. He patiently reviewed his prescriptions with me to make sure I understood the follow-up care needed, and personally contacted me the following day to see how his patient was recovering. He is a genuinely kind and caring person, and an extremely skilled physician. His staff is top notch too: friendly & super competent. We will forever be grateful to him for going out of his way to help us avoid an emergency room visit during the Covid pandemic.

Dr. Rami Makoul is the absolute best. We were very scared when it was discovered my mom had a grade 4 malignant tumor in her colon. He acted quickly and got her in for surgery right away. While our minds ran wild with worry he kept us calm and reassured. He has amazing bedside manner and is overall a great person. He checked on her daily in the hospital and put us at ease that she would beat this. We needed that hope desperately. She’s in remission now, he saved her life. Forever grateful for his care.

Dr Rami Makhoul saved my life, and was the coolest, laid-back, no worries doctor Ive ever met. After struggling with digestive pain, losing 50lbs, and many inconclusive cat scans, I was referred to Dr Rami. He scheduled me for surgery right away to remove what was expected to be diverticulitis. Dr Rami easily could have switched to an open procedure to remove 6 of diseased colon, but he persevered for 9+ hours with the laparoscopic method... my recovery was a breeze because of his technical prowess. He checked on me every day at the hospital, and was always available to answer questions. I had a second surgery with Dr Rami to finish up what couldnt be done in the first surgery due to my condition. His bedside manner and personality were soothing and calming. You know you have a good doctor when the hospital staff raves about him before surgery, and when the nurses see a healing surgical wound and start talking about him without prompting.
